Been a patient for a while. Called to make an appointment. The dental assistant/owner (according to her) answered. Said I need an appointment with Dr. Lakeman. She took my info and asked what I needed. Told her I needed an extraction. She then give me a time and says near the end of the conversation that I wouldn't see the dentist that day. I then said that it wouldn't work for me. That I only needed the tooth pulled. She then accused me of being sarcastic for which I still don't understand. She then told me that it was ½ her practice and that me nor my wife was no longer welcome as patients. I not sure what really happened. She just kinda lost it on me for no reason. If she is it fact the owner then she will end up running off anyone who says something that she doesn't like. It's really a shame. Dr. Lakeman always treated me well. But I prefer not to do any business with loose, toxic people that are on some kind of power trip. I just needed an appointment. Maybe they should let someone else answer the phone. Because she has no business dealing with the public!

Excellent dentist, I have had extensive dental work in SC, MO, WI, OH and AL and Dr. Lakeman ranks as one of the best dentist that I have been a patient of. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Lakeman for the last several years since he opened an office in Hoover, AL. We both highly recommend Dr. Lakeman for your dental needs including preventative care.
