Staff was horrible and uncaring to the needs of their patients.

This is a tough rating. We love Dr. Ruperto - he is kind, compassionate, and you can tell he is actively listening and cares about what is going on with my child. 5 starts for him. I agree with other posters, however. The answering staff is less than pleasant to deal with. I try to write it off as "maybe they're having a bad day" or "maybe something is going on with them that we don't know about", but time after time it is the same unprofessional behavior. Dealing with the public is tough, I feel like we all understand that, but when dealing with issues like mental health and the wellbeing of your child, it is very disheartening and frustrating to feel like you are an inconvenience and an annoyance when calling the office. He’s an okay doctor. As a psychiatrist treating his patient, I think he’s very brilliant and charismatic. As a person, I have some personal problems with him, as I hear what he says behind my back. He’s the best I can get near my house, so I suppose I don’t have any other options. If you do, though, I recommend going somewhere else.

the Doctor was good! As far as the other staff and getting someone to answer the phone....horrible! They could use some guidance in professionalism. You shouldn’t leave a doctors office feeling like you’re a waste of space. It would be wonderful to call the office and be able to talk to a person! Novant health needs to come in and do an evaluation of this office. The receptionist is extremely rude. Dr. Ruperto isn't much better. As soon as my child walked in he didn't feel comfortable. If you get referred by a doctor ask to see someone else. I will take my child somewhere else and pay out of pocket if I have to. They need to work on their bedside manner and possibly look at the child's medical record before they make assumptions. Novant health needs to come in and do an evaluation of this office. RUDE! there is no other word to describe his office staff. She was so unpleasant that I immediately began searching for another Doctor.

His secretary screwed me over! Would NOT recommend!

Dr Ruperto is super friendly and my daughter has really connected with him. He is attentive, and listens to the patient and the parents. HOWEVER, his office assistant, Suzanne is absolutely awful to work with. He will do well to replace her. If my daughter had not already connected with him, we would never return just because of Suzanne.

Dr. Ruperto is an excellent child psychiatrist. He quickly put my highly anxious child at ease. The receptionist could use some people skills, but ultimately I'm glad we chose this doctor.

Would not recommend at all. Rude and inconsiderate desk personnel.

VERY difficult to schedule appointments. Dr. Ruperto is fine, but getting in to see him can be extremely frustrating. I called on May 9th to schedule an appointment. Only 5 appointment times were available beginning in June and they could not schedule a July appointment because the July schedule had not been released. If you are only going to have five options in 60 days for an open appointment, I think it's time to open up the July schedule!!! Not the first time I've had scheduling issues.
