Dr. Notis is wonderful. I’ve been a patient of his for over 20 years. I have type 1 diabetes and he has taken excellent care of me. I trust him completely and he has never steered me wrong. I’ve never been rushed and everything has always been fully explained to me. I’ve recommend friends to him and they feel the same way. Also his staff is very professional and friendly I would highly recommend him and his practice

I was a patient of Dr KarenFurhman at Associates in Eyecare in Springfield. I am very upset about the way Dr Fuhrman spoke to me on the basis of who I am employed by. Here is what happened... I went in today for a routine exam and contact fitting. At the end of the visit, I had mentioned that I am employed by Johnson & Johnson, who is the manufacturer of the Acuvue contact lenses I use. Her tone immediately changed and she said, "oh, the enemy." I thought at first that she was joking because it was such a nonsensical comment, so I responded by saying, "oh, are they your competitor?" And she proceeded to tell me that no, the reason she said they are the enemy was because they are a large business that is "in everything," and they don't "give back enough." I couldn't believe what I was hearing.  First, no company is obligated to do anything besides be profitable for their shareholders and take care of their employees, which J&J does. Second, I told her that we actually do a ton of charity work, including Operation Smile for children with cleft lip and palate. Third, according to Dr Furhman, apparently running a profitable business that has achieved success is somehow a bad thing?? My head was almost exploding. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and how my employer (and by extension me) were being made out to be some sort of "enemy" of someone. It was one of the most rude, irrational, and unprofessional moments I can ever recall experiencing. But most of all, the fact that her comments were incoherent is the least of all offenses...the worst part is that she feels that she has the open door to demean  a patient's employer to the patients face! The employer who provides the vision insurance by which she is getting paid, no less! Unbelievable! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. If Dr Fuhrman has extreme fringe views on basic things, maybe in the future she should keep those opinions to herself and instead stick to being professional. HER IRRATIONAL OPINIONS ARE IRRELEVANT!!! For this reason, I will NOT BE RETURNING to her as a patient.

DR. Notis is an excellent Ophthalmologist! I was diagnosed with glaucoma and after maybe three visits he convinced me to get laser surgery. It has been two years since my surgery and I see and feel much better. I am looking for an ophthalmologist in Greensboro North Carolina for my mommy and I can not find any one like DR. Notis! People please leave reviews!

Dr Notis came highly recommended to me by a friend. I got an appointment within a week, my insurance is accepted, staff is professional and courteous. I absolutely recommend Dr Notis

Dr Notis was extemely helpful with my onset of glaucoma and is very informative and soft spoken and professional. I always leave being fully informed and also with the knowledge Ive received the utmost care. I would highly recommend him as I now bring my daughter to him as well. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and the office wait are and equipment in his office are exceptional. I live in Bergen County and it is definitely worth the travel to get the kind of care that is offered

The office staff was slow and was worried more about insurance than the health of the patient. A basic eye exam was just about 2hrs long which is unacceptable.
