while our over all surgery experience was good. Smithville hospital was great. it was impossible to get dr. Smith's office nurse to fill out and fax the insurance paperwork. we had to call over and over to get anything done. ran out of pain meds on friday and called Bastrop office several times for re-fill. Had to end up calling the hospital and and getting nurse from hospital to contact Dr's office for med refill. all interactions with office staff was terrible.
