Dr. Claire V Wiseman

We visited awhile back well before COVID to meet in order to see if she might be a good match for my daughter. Although she may be really great for some clients, I didn't get the sense that she would be able to build a relationship with my daughter. She did not seem comfortable with eye contact, struggled to carry a give-and-take conversation-- instead barking statements that felt like pre-recorded paragraphs. When we got back to the car my daughter announced that she felt like she had been interacting with a robot. We did LOVE the animals and the idea-- but it just didn't work for us.

If you like the Gen. Patton "slap around the wounded soldier" method of therapy, she's your woman.

Dr. Claire Wiseman and the farm at Red Skye have truly been a blessing! Dr. Claire's experience combined with the beautiful setting of the farm have greatly helped to decrease my anxiety and depression. I have seen other therapists but this is a truly unique setting. When I am with the animals I am completely at ease and when I look into the horse's eyes all my troubles seem to dissipate. I have not experienced anything like this before and I highly recommend this kind of treatment to others.

Dr. Wiseman was excellent. She is very knowledgeable and caring. She explained my condition very well and worked with me to develop a treatment plan that I could follow. The animals were amazing and made me feel very calm during our sessions. I recommend animal assisted therapy for depression.

Dr. Wiseman is an excellent therapist. She is very good treating patients in an office setting and also treating patients ar Red Skye where she does some animal assisted therapy using her very well trained animals. I love the farm and always leave there feeling good and happy. Dr Wiseman really knows how to treat people using the animals to add another dimension to the therapy

Chose her specifically for the animal therapy and her dogs were the best part of my treatment. She was dishonest about the kind of insurance she takes and claimed that Husky state insurance would reimburse me for out of pocket expenses. The state kept insisting that they wanted to speak with her, but she refused (yet would call other insurance companies). I had to stop seeing her because $180 per session is outrageous. Hard to get ahold of her to boot. I hope she gets more resources and improves

Narrow use of treatment modalities; utilizes CBT solely. Answers phone during therapy sessions. Not prompt with paperwork. Helpful to an extent with eating disorders; however not helpful with co-occuring disorders.
