Dr. Cassandra L Brewster

Dr. Brewster is an amazing care provider. She takes the time to really understand my needs and explains things clearly and in terms that the layperson can understand. This is a very busy practice and it did take some time to get in and I did have my appointment reach a few times which added to the delay, but the scheduling staff were very efficient and quick with communication and empathetic when needed. There did seem to be some confusion as to who I should check in with, the front desk staff were not always attentive to who was was waiting and it was not clear if or when patients should just walk up since there were multiple people. They were all very friendly and professional otherwise.

I had my first and only appointment with Dr Cassandra Brewster. I would not be comfortable or compatible with her personality!! She came across as non-caring and egotistical. She also asked a very personal question that there was no need to ask of me!! I felt insulted at the least!! Not the kind of PCP I want or care to see again!!!

Dr Brewster pays attention to the details surrounding my health to make sure underlying issues don’t become a problem.

I was treated with respect. I am an older person and sometimes people treat you like you are senile even if you are not. Both the Dr and assistant were very pleasant.

Did not listen to what I wanted at all. Said that drawing labs was unnecessary and did not like them. Kept trying to push vaccines onto me when that’s not why I went. Started talking down to me and argumentative. Waste of time. Kept asking for what I wanted and she shut me down. Had to go somewhere else. Will not see her again

My first visit to this clinic, and I had a quick, easy, and warm visit. Check in was seamless, and no wait in waiting area or exam room. Dr. Brewster was great! I felt like she truly cared for me as a patient. She made sure any questions were answered. Will be go it back, and recommending her!

Dr. Brewster and her staff at the Belton Medical building were very quick, no long wait in the waiting area or room. They were also very courteous and knowledgeable about Medicare, I'm new to it and this was my Medicare First Year One-Time Wellness visit for free. Dr. Brewster did a thorough exam and lab work. I also got the Pneumonia-23 vaccine. All Staff wore masks and I was very pleased with the entire visit. I am very displeased by the “care” that was provided to me by Dr. Cassandra Brewster. I scheduled a visit to see Dr. Brewster for an assessment of symptoms that I’d been experiencing which were indisputably linked to yeast/candida. I asked, out of my own curiosity, whether it could be possible that I had invasive candidiasis. I was born with thrush and easily contracted fungal infections as a child, and also into adulthood. At the age of 14, I had a ringworm infection of the scalp that caused permanent hair loss and have had reoccurring infections over the past 14 years (I am now 28) – leading me to wear wigs. More recently, my arm has been breaking out in what was diagnosed as hives and I’ve had back-to-back vaginal yeast infections. In addition to that, I’ve had white lesions on my inner cheeks and a white-coated tongue for as long as I can remember (even after cutting out sugar, removing yeast from my diet entirely and taking a strong probiotic). Dr. Brewster explained that if I had invasive candidiasis, I’d be on a hospital bed. Okay, sure. I didn’t go to medical school. Makes sense to me. I did not argue with her there. I asked what could be causing the hives, but she took my inquiring about the root cause as me being suspicious of the diagnosis itself. Yeast was on the list of of potential causes that I was given by my DERMATOLOGIST, so I wasn’t drawing connections out of nowhere. I wanted to get a general assessment of what might be going with my body, so I could see the right specialist. INSTEAD, I was gaslit to believe that I might be struggling with an eating disorder. The conversation suddenly shifted away from my concerns to my BMI. My own mother is 4’11 and 100 lbs (This is someone who has borne children. I have not). Before she became pregnant with me, she weighed less than 100 lbs. I come from a very petite family and we have small frames. I did lose weight from my last visit with Dr. Brewster, and I’m certain that it’s due to a bone broth cleanse that I recently completed in an effort to naturally re-balance my gut. The weight loss is temporary and I’m sure that I will return to my normal weight in a matter of weeks. She asked about my periods (always regular and lasting about 5-7 days), my lifestyle (low tress, mostly sedentary with minimal to no exercise… I could actually stand to move my body more) and my caloric intake. I have never been the type of woman to count calories…. EVER. So, I did not have answer for that. All I know is that I eat decent sized portions each day that are appropriate for my body type and leave me feeling fueled. She didn’t even both to observe my muscle mass, which is usually emblematic of an ED. I’ve retained my muscle mass and do not have the appearance at all of someone with an ED. I suspect (emphasis on suspect), that Dr. Brewster is the type of medical professional who can’t stand to be challenged. I was not trying to usurp her authority as a physician, but at the end of the day this is MY body. If I’m PAYING an insurance company to see you, I EXPECT to be listened to and taken seriously. There’s also the fact that I’m young, highly educated and black. But I won’t get into that. Regardless of whether or not she had good or bad intentions in shifting the focus of my visit, I left feeling discouraged and disappointed. I realize that this scenario probably points to a larger issue which is that most Western, medical doctors, deny the link of what you consume and its effect on disease. What we have is a sick-care system. In our culture, science is a religion that must not be questioned. Me simply asking questions proved to be an issue, and I was made to feel as though I shouldn’t be making assumptions (based on factual information) because I wasn’t a doctor. I call B.S. Anyway, I removed her as my PCP AS SOON as I returned home. I do not recommend this physician.

Terrible doctor. Doesn’t listen to your problems. Tried to convince me that my pain was in my head. Refused to order more tests. Found later that I have neuropathy caused by a medication. Needlessly lived with pain for years longer than I should have. Also, tried to tell me that my thyroid issue did not affect my Menzies when that is how I was first diagnosed with the thyroid issue. Lastly, told me that I’m just lazy when I asked for a referral to a nutritionist to help me with a thyroid specific diet. I wasn’t asking for a diet pill, I was asking if there was a specific diet that would assist with my thyroid levels. This doctor is dangerous. Probably fine for the sniffles but if you have a life threatening issue, please heed this advice and find a new carrier.

The physician did not listen to me at all. Will never be coming back. She refused to put me on birth control and was very rude and disrespectful.

She was on time, I felt comfortable talking about my health background, she refilled my prescriptions that I needed to be refilled, and she was pleasant.

She saw my 2 yo and was very friendly and kind to my other kiddos who had to tag along as well. She is very knowledgable and gave good advice on how to get vaccines with our limited health insurance. Grateful she will be working with ojr whole family in the future!

HBP since 2008, placed on HCTZ by Dr. C. Brewster at that time. BP to stroke levels the last 3 yrs. being on HCTZ (as high as 180/112), was told nothing else I could take (lie), ended up blind in left eye due to HBP. Prior associate ignored me mentioning 3x couldn't see out of left eye, only to have Dr. B. call me back 1 month later to tell me to go to ER cuz she knew eye was due to HBP. Horrified she's getting away with this. Any gen. doc would know to place on actual BP med!!!!

Saw Brewster at the Healthe Clinic and it was a terrible experience. Came in to consult with her regarding drawing labs every few months to track my results for a chronic condition and she refused to even consider ordering the labs because "another doctor was overseeing that care" and "because two doctors overseeing one problem doesn't make sense". I recommend waiting till another provider becomes available or seek a different facility for a better provider.

Dr. Beatty is outstanding. Knows her stuff, communicates well, engaging personality, attentive, and professional. She's been my PCP for several years.

I have n will I be talked down to. By someone who is suppose to be my doctor assistant or anyone else in a doctor's office. Knowing had gallstones and never mentioned it. This kind of service I don't need and will take me business elsewhere. We have great insurance. If I could give them a 0 I would have. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!@
