It was quick and painless. I had an appointment as a scheduled walk-in and was late I couldn’t find store (my fault). It was really expensive and they didn’t have any non designer glasses. I am on a fixed income and with eyemed it was still expensive. They didn’t tell me about contact exam price before hand so that added to bill. Because I had anti glare they pitched it in a way I didn’t no there was a price. And blue light glare protection the only cost I am sure of is the blue light and I don’t even no how that’s gonna help we had digital for yrs now and no one mentioned it before now it was $680.00 with the $250 savings from insurance way to much especially just for glasses I understand about eye conditions to etc It was quick and painless. My experience at the Oakview location started off great. I went into get my eyes checked and purchase new glasses. Everything was great with the doctor and the women who helped us initially but once we got to the sales portion things took a turn. Bri/ Bethany approached me as I was looking through glasses she asked if I had any questions and to grab her if I did and went back behind the desk with Jevon. Once I picked out a pair of glasses and was ready to purchase Bri/ Bethany told us to have a seat at the desk by the door. She eventually came over she struggled with her iPad for a minute and apologized and told us she was new. The issue was not that this girl was new. She eventually went and grabbed Jevon to help he loaded how much it was going to cost. No one went over the different lens options she told me she was going to put blue light filters because I work on a computer Jevon came over and told me he was going to add glare as well. Never went over the cost of such until I asked and agreed to add the blue light. Total came out to $130 and sone change. Everything was fine Jevon left after this and never returned. Poor Bri STRUGGLED and this is not the problem. She was new and still learning. She looked around constantly for someone it seemed to help her out. She did ask Jevon for help twice and he didn’t acknowledge her. He stood behind the desk wiping glasses and the counter. Keep in mind in the store was myself my mother and one other lady looking at glasses. Not high traffic or busy. Bri messed around on the iPad and apologize that she had deleted everything on my file and she needed to have the first girl in the back to add everything back. She came back and fiddled with the iPad looking at us like we were going to help her not really doing anything. After we sat for 45 minutes while she was in the back I decided that I did not feel comfortable buying prescription glasses from someone so unfamiliar with how to order them. I went to the counter and told Jevon that was I just going to be ordering off line and I needed to pay for the additional portion of my eye exam that my insurance didn’t cover. He said okay that’s fine. I explained to him that this poor girl was needing help and wasn’t sure how to do anything. This is when a whole new attitude came out. He snapped that they were extremely short staffed. Extremely short staffed when the staffing to customer ratio was 1:1 but he’s to busy to help train? I said I understand and would like all my information to purchase online. He then told Bri to go help a lady and he had a friend come into the store looking at sun glasses. As I’m standing there waiting to check out he decides that now is a good time to chat with his friend about whether or not the sun glasses were womens sunglasses. They laughed at this point I’m annoyed and frustrated and I asked him if he could please wrap up everything so I could be on my way. Now the attitude got even worst. He told me is wasn’t instant and he just had to push a few more buttons sir. He was extremely disrespectful. If it wasn’t for Jadon at the Westroads location I would never spend a penny with lens crafters. After the poor customer services at oakview I decided to go to the west roads location. Jadon was super friendly from the minute I walked in. I explained the situation and that I knew exactly what I wanted but refused to be treated the way they treated me at oakview. He apologized the manager at the west roads location came out and apologized and jadon was quick to help me out. He was AMAZING so friendly great sense of humor. Explained things to me and what his recommendations would be instead of just adding it on. I ended up spending $250 which was much more than I planned to spend at the oakview location. Dr.Gray Finn is great, helped me with all required exams and also made sure of avoiding few methods considering my pregnancy. Dawn at the retail store is amazing. She helped us understand all the details on the lens type and the rest of the insurance work. She is fun to talk to????
