Dr. Bryan R Kurtz

Dr. Kurtz delivered both of my children & I 100% regret my birth experiences to this day - 16 years later. Dr. Seemed to be disappointed that I got pregnant less than a year after my first was born - I was induced & shouldn't have been. A consent form for a tubal ligation was slipped into my paperwork for my 2nd CSection without a consultation. Didn't sign. 3 stars because he delivered my children. Wouldn't do it over again.

On May 17th I went to Dr. Kurtz for annual exam. Told nurse I may have UTI. Was given a cup for a sample. During check in another nurse came in room and asked my nurse to take her place across hall. My urine sample still sitting there. Dr Kurtz did exam and left. I got dressed and look for nurse but didn't see her. Saw Dr. Kurtz in his office across from my room. Told him my urine sample is still sitting on table in here. He says OK. Never got a call so I thought I was ok. Went on 3 day vacation a week later. I hurt so bad. Had to come back a day early. Went to my primary dr who ran bloodtest and ultrasound and urine sample. All tests were ok except for a bad bacteria UTI. I called dr Kurtz nurse to see if they had checked it. NO! It was discarded! If they had checked and gave antibiotics a week before I would have had great vacation. I have 10,000 deductible. I called and talked to Kurtz and all he would say is I'm sorry and yelled and said he had no mechanism to help me!

He is the best doctor and his staff is amazing also. They are friendly and really take the time to get to know you and care about you. Dr. Kurtz has been my doctor for 17 years! He is truly a great doctor.

I called to make an appointment with Dr. Kurtz over 2 months ago. Today, when I showed up for my appointment I was told Dr. Kurtz wasnt in the office, that my appointment had been rescheduled to the 13th. I was told that they had called me on July 1, and that they left a note saying that my phone number was not a valid number. I have had the same phone number for 10+ years with no interruptions in my service. And for them to not even attempt to make another phone call in over a month is absolutely ridiculous. I have never had any issues with Dr. Kurtz himself but since he has joined with Vanderbilt women's center it has been a nightmare. I'm currently finding a new doctor. Dr. Kurtz is a good Doctor, i had no problems with him, except for the fact that he was so fast and wanted everything done at weird times. But that staff is just absolutely the most disrespectful people I've ever dealt with. Since this Corona Virus is going around, they say don't come if you've been feeling sick. So I woke up one day just feeling terrible, so I didn't go in because I wanted to be respectful to the other mommy's and not spread anything just in case. But, I called immediately after and told them I needed to reschedule. But for some reason every time I called up there, they said they'd get back to me in 24-48 hours which is ridiculous in the first place, but they never call me. They told me my son, who im pregnant with now, might have spinal issues and I'm being none compliant because I won't answer my phone and basically telling me I don't care. But I have no missed calls, no voice mails, and neither do the other two people who left their contact information for emergencies. I'm sorry, but I will never be going there again, because if my son is in that serious amount of danger with his spine and they're making me out to be the one who doesn't care, but yet they won't reschedule me at all. Such an amazing doctor and great staff.

Dr Kurtz is awesome but he needs new RNs to assist him ASAP!! The current ones are absolutely rude don’t care to hear what you have to say or anything about you it seems they are only there for a paycheck. I’ve been a patient for years but the past couple have not been pleasant dealing with the RNs they cut you off don’t look into detail etc. I will carry on to a place where they actually care have time for me. I don’t need the attitude everyone should be kind to one another you know treat each other as you would want to be treated!

Wonderful doctor and staff, went to doctor Kurtz for my last three pregnancies and deliveries and I highly recommend

I never saw doctor at the Womens Hospital. I was sure I had a multiple birth but was given one child only and when I brought the baby to the staple removing appointment the nurse took the baby and said the doctor wanted to see the baby separately. I was afraid. I was alone. I couldnt stop them and I was afraid to admit I thought I had more than one baby. The doctor spoke of his wife and that they Only Had Two and think I should not ever have anymore. I think when he biopsied my uterus he removed it without my knowledge. He's the best that I can think of want to keep seeing

I love how he takes his time and offers extra information since I am one who never knows what to ask. He helped bring my 5 year old into this world so just gor that he get 10 stars. Also his staff is very friendly, they make you feel special!

Dr.Kurtz is great! His people at the desk don't seem the nicestest but his nurses and himself are great! He sat for 30 minutes and educated me and my husband and just sat and talked and saw if we had any questions. He didn't rush and was very very educated ! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Kurtz has been my doctor for 9 years and I wouldn't want anyone else! He has delivered both of my babies and has been my doctor through some scary medical issues. He and his staff have always been very pleasant and helpful. I tell all of my friends to go to him when they are in need of a good doctor. Aside from his giant hands, I wouldn't change anything about him. Dr. Kurtz has been my doctor for 9 years and I wouldn't want anyone else! My wife went back to Dr Kurtz as we were referred to him for issues that we had been dealing with. My wife goes back today as her OBGYN that he had sent all of the info to since they were closer and work at the hospital that we go to was not working. She was treated horribly by the staff there with little to no apology from Dr Kurtz himself. They all seemed like they just wanted to get her out. This left her in tears and she could not even ask the questions that she wanted to as she was so upset. If you are looking for someone with any sort of empathy for situations that you may be in DO NOT GO HERE. I am beyond upset with how we have been treated after being a patient there with the Dr before and just going back to them since he had helped before. This will never be the case again. Dr. Kurtz is very nice but his front desk staff are always very rude in person and on the phone, so it doesn't make for a pleasant experience..

I had to cancel my surgery date that was for 5-16-2018 due to my son had surgery then on 5-23-2018 my symsptoms got worse i called the doctor office had called the lady advised since i cancelled my surgery i could take ibuprofen or go to er if my bleeding was worse if i wanted surgery scheduled i would have to go see docotr again and wait weeks for scheduling!!! I said thats it take ibuprofen she said yes thats it or go to er if i thought my bleeding was worse.

Dr Kurz and his staff no longer have any care for empathy on patients that are having problems. We have gone to him as he was recommended as the best. Since then my wife has gone back again and was brought to tears by the staff and Dr himself. The entire staff and Dr should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat patients.

I had previously gone to the same gynecologist for over 30 years until he retired and was nervous about finding someone new. I have to say Dr. Kurtz and his staff made me feel welcome and comfortable from the minute I walked into the office! He is so personable and actually listens,cares and wants the best for his patients! I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a great doctor!! His nurses and staff are the best!!!

Dr Kurtz and his team are caring and professional. I have been his patient for 4 years and Dr Kurtz is always mindful of the latest research and treatment options available for his patients. I highly recommend him!

Dr Kurtz performed TAH, with A and P repair. My results have been great! As a nurse that works in the same hospital where he practices, I have only heard great things about his skills as a surgeon. That is the reason I selected him for my OB GYN needs.

Did not seem to care about me after a surgery. Told my fiance everything that happened during my procedure, but didn't discuss it with me. Because of the nature of the surgery, I was bleeding quite a bit at my follow-up appointment. He didn't discuss my surgery with me there either, just told me to get a hysterectomy, put me back on a pill that he knew gave me migraines, and didn't request a follow-up after the bleeding had stopped. I felt useless and horrible. Avoid.

Dr kurtz was a great doctor. i had a great experience when i went to him. i still go to get my birthcontrol. i would recomend him.
