Bruce Strober

Saw him for annual body check today (my first with him) & left traumatized. Was told by male PA beforehand to remove bra & socks & put on gown. Strober came in w/ him in tow; told him I wasn’t comfortable with him in room for my exam. Female trainee asked if she could stay; I said Yes cuz you’re not a male. Strober said I’m a male & I said yes but you’re the doctor. Male PA backed out looking surprised & another female came in. I turned to Strober & said my last 2 derms never required me to remove bra. He sternly replied Well, we DO! You can get melanoma anywhere! You are putting yourself at risk if you don’t. I said I understand then ‘I’m testing you out, you know, and he said I DON’T REALLY CARE with dead-looking eyes & very little affect. I said I definitely won’t be back & would put some REALLY good comments out about him. After my body check & declaring me healthy I said You never checked my scalp. He said it’s very hard to do then Have a good day and walked out. Scared…

It is with regret that I must say I cannot provide a positive recommendation for this doctor, based on the negative experiences I've had with them and their team.

This dermatologist is supposed to be an expert in my condition. I was prescribed the wrong dosage of medication for my condition (confirmed with multiple doctors) AND he disregarded a concern I had instantly telling me it was definitely not what I thought it was. Guess what! It was what I thought it was, and it was life changing. avoid at all costs.

Dr. Strober is thorough, professional, has an excellent manner about him, and frankly is one of the best experiences I have had with doctors overall. I have referred both friends and family, and all have stated that their experiences were the same.

Dr. Strober helped me understand my issue and my treatment choices. He takes the time to explain, advise and make one comfortable with his recommendations. He welcomes your questions. His staff is fully versed in all aspects of your care and will help you with any questions or relay your questions to the doctor for a prompt answer. One needs a referral from a doctor for an appointment with him.

My first visit meeting with Dr. Strober (about 1 year ago) was amazing and life changing!! I suffered with severe psoriasis over 95% of my body for several years. It was debilitating, embarrassing, and caused emotional trauma in all aspects of my life. Dr. Strober was the LAST dermatologist I have seen because he changed my life and in alot of ways, saved it as well. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Strober, words can't express the compassion and knowledge he has. I can't imagine how my life would have continued if I didn't meet him. He is caring, smart, and genuinely cares about his patients. I will NEVER see another dermatologist as long as Dr. Strober is practicing.

Dr. Strober is an absolutely fabulous dermatologist. I’ve been with him for over 5 years, and he is simply the best! He has a great understanding of medicine, quickly diagnoses the problem, and if needed, prescribes the correct medication. I couldn’t imagine going to anyone else!

This was 1st visit to this office and with Dr. Strober. I found his staff, especially Sam, to be well qualified, professional and personable. Dr. Strober himself was thorough, thoughtful, professional, attentive and showed genuine concern for the reason I was there. Highly recommend!

Dr. Strober has changed my life. Amazing doctor, great bedside manner, wonderful and easy to talk to. Suffered for months with a condition that went undiagnosed by every doctor I'd seen and was immediately recognized and effectively treated by Dr. Strober. The technician Kiki was great too. All around amazing experience.

I wish I could tell you that Dr. Strober was awesome but his office staff never let me see him. Despite having fantastic insurance, they refused to accept the in-network terms of my policy and wanted my bank account info prior to being seen. They refused to call Connecticare who would have confirmed I am fully insured w/ no deductible. Highly unprofessional office. Patients time is worth something, too. Time off from work, travel expense and time are inconvenient when patients are turned away for no legitimate reason.

Dr Strober is the best dermatologist there is. I went to 3 other doctors and not one could help me. Dr Strober was the only one that has helped me and continues to help with all my problems. He has a wonderful personality and is very kind and compassionate. I thank God for him. The BEST.

Doctor Strober is a great Doctor, very knowledgeable. My father had an issue and saw multiple Doctors and it progressively got worse. Dr. Strober immediately knew what the issue was and was able to come up with a treatment plan. I wish we went and saw Dr. Strober sooner.

Best doctor in Connecticut for psoriasis!

After two frustrating years of itching, my dermatologist referred me to Dr. Strober. I found him to be compassionate and easy to talk with. He has kept me comfortable for several years now and although unable to eliminate the problem, it is controlled and medication needed is now minimal. Best of all is that I am comfortable and clear of ugly breakouts.

This man Dr. Strober is a life saver i had seen many doctors in my life since i was 8 years old and not one could get my psoriasis under control or even had the compassion and understanding what i went thru all those years using medication after medication and all failed attempts but then i was introduced to Dr. Strober and the first visit he said to me is you have psoriasis and i can help you something i heard many times but 3 months after i couldn't believe it i was covered 80% of my body and then nothing the psoriasis was gone just red light marks it wasn't in pain and finally i was clear without him i wouldn't be pain free he is remarkable and is the best at what he does all i can say is thank god for Dr. Strober.

Having worked with Dr Strober as a professional colleague in many contexts and forums for more than 10 years, he is - in my opinion - among the most ethical, brilliant, kind, knowledgable, patient-centric dermatologists. Dr Strober treats everyone equally, irrespective of who they are, and I have never seen him be less than courteous, kind, and friendly to anyone. He is also extremely tactful, but equally straightforward. I consider him to be among the finest physicians, and people, whom I know

This man has done irreparable damage to my health with his reckless medical treatment. I wish I had never met the man. I can only advise people to stay as far away from him as possible. Don't be fooled by his many accomplishments and titles, he is a terrible doctor. I came to him for my psoriasis and ended up leaving him with many more problems than I had before.
