Dr. Karg has been my dentist for 30 + years and has always done an excellent job.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It all started with getting a crown. I went in and got a temporary crown put on and left in so much pain. He had shoved the metal, sharp temporary crown so hard up into my mouth that I called back within an hour, crying. I couldn't eat anything for two days. The pain finally wore off but unfortunately, the situation got worse. I went in to get my permanent crown put on and was handed a bill for $435. They then told me I could only pay with cash (even though they have NO signs stating they did not accept cards) I told them I would need to be billed because I did not have $435 cash on me. BEFORE I had the crown put on, I called the insurance company myself (on a Friday) and they told me they would not cover the crown, I had a couple months left in my waiting period (Which I would have waited, easily). I then called the dentist to let them know and left a message asking them to call me. They called me back on a MONDAY, told me they had JUST spoken with my insurance company and my total owed would be $435. I told them my situation, that I had called them and was told it wouldn't be covered for a few months and the dentist's (newer) receptionist then reassured me she had spoken with them and got it all figured out, and reiterated the $435. (So in turn, I went in for the crown) I was mailed a bill of over $1300. I went in to the office to see what was going on and they admitted to making a mistake and that it was actually just over $900. I told them that was still over double what they had told me. They told me I should have figured out my insurance before getting the crown. I told them that I CALLED them and TOLD them I wasn't covered and that they "ASSURED ME I WAS COVERED" First the receptionist denied talking to me and said it was the older receptionist. I showed her all my notes from the conversation (dated) and she then told me she couldn't help me and I just needed to pay the bill. Not only did the dentist hear all of this, but he walked away from the entire conversation. This dentist office was PAINFUL, UNAPOLOGETIC, RUDE, told LIES, and DID NOT stand by their word. I have ALL the documentation, dated with names and numbers and everything they told me DID NOT line up. Not to mention they have sent this to collections and instead of giving the collection agency my phone number, they gave the agency my boss's phone number which can ONLY be found on our company website to get quotes. So now they're dealing with the calls, which I believe is illegal. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this crook. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It all started with getting a crown.
