Dr. Holko has been efficient and thorough in the care he has provided. He has been easy to get ahold of and listens to all of our questions and concerns.

Kaiser's HMO model needs review.

Seemed condescending and lacked empathy for discussions and visits. He didn't read email and respond to concerns with any type of expected diligence and rapport that is normal for a physician. Kaiser tends to treat patients as a economic entity over genuine care for patient.

I had a severe fall a few weeks ago. My husband rushed me to the Urgent Care at Kaiser in San Marcos. I had severely damaged my tailbone and was in excruciating pain. I declined an x-ray or medications thinking it would heal on it's own. After a really tough few days I called Kaiser to speak with my Primary Care Physician. He was unavailable and I was desperate. Instead I was given a tele-medicine appointment with Dr. Holko. I read his reviews and was hesitant but needed to speak with someone. I can't understand the rating I saw. Dr. Holko was amazing. He was kind, compassionate and listened to my issues without interruption. I felt like I was sitting in the office with him. He took time with me, even convinced me to have an x-ray to provide some insight into my length of recovery. He prescribed me the medications I had turned down previously at Urgent Care. He encouraged me to followup if I had additional issues and was great at providing the x-ray results as soon as they were available. If I hadn't already chosen a Primary Care Physician, I would choose Dr. Holko. I highly recommend this doctor. If my Dr. isn't available, I will always ask for Dr. Holko.
