Dr. Brent Furnish

Vertigo, brain injury, double vision, I was a mess. Of the many doctors I saw and medical tests that I had, no one could diagnosis or offer treatment for the problems I was having. So thankful I found Dr. Furnish! Through his treatment, I can now live a normal life. If I could give him more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

I have been seeing Dr.Furnish for balance issues after a thorough examination therapy and doing my at home exercises. I am seeing wonderful results thank you Dr.Furnish

Last October I reached out to Dr. Brent. Prior over the past 2.5 years I had seen five different doctors ending with a ear-nose-throat-specialist. Although great Doctors my extreme vertigo kept reappearing. I couldn't lay flat on my bed, wash dishes, at times shower and/or drive. I was beyond frustrated and fearful that this was going to be my new norm. Almost within the first month of treatment by Dr. Brent I started feeling a bit better-to now feeling like my old self. I would highly recommend Dr. Furnish to anyone who has any neurological issues. I have Post Concussion Syndrome, and prior to meeting Dr. Furnish, it was difficult to get any of my doctors to listen to my concerns and treat anything other than my symptoms. Dr. Furnish is not merely treating my symptoms, he is treating my brain. He did a complete neurological exam, and he sat down with me and we discussed everything that I have been experiencing. I would recommend Dr Furnish to the world! I had some serious brain problems that I couldn't recognize. I knew something was wrong. He knew right away after an evaluation and I have made good progress.

Dr. Brent Furnish is far more knowledgeable than any other chiropractor I’ve seen. He has extensive training and education in neurology. He has a passion for challenging the brain and spine based rehabilitation. He does a thorough exam giving you long lasting results.

I was having severe vomiting and dizziness during the months of March and April. I went to the hospital three different times and they would give me something to help me get over the symptoms for a few days, but I still felt bad. The hospital recommended I go to an ENT which I did. I was told to eliminate salt as much as possible. They could give me a diuretic, but would not because my blood pressure is normally low and the diuretic would lower it more. The vomiting & dizziness kept returning and finally the hospital recommended a neurologist. I wondered what would that help? I was desperate for help and was told about Dr Furnish. Within a couple of weeks after starting treatment, the symptoms disappeared and I have been getting better ever since. I praise God that I went to Dr Furnish and he was able to help me. After 8 months of suffering from debilitating symptoms that numerous doctors could not diagnose, I was finally referred to Dr. Furnish. He gave me an extremely thorough exam and diagnosed me immediately. Very shortly after starting treatment, I started to see my worst symptoms subside one by one, and then disappear! I was truly at the end of my rope when I found Dr. Furnish and he completely restored my quality of life....without medication I might add! Seems to really know what he is doing and I always appreciate his practice.

Both my wife and I went to Dr. Furnish. We had excellent results, but as the patient, you have to do your part to get results.

Dr. Furnish was able to address issues related to PTSD, wrist and hand function related to carpal tunnel, muscle tone and balance issues. He has addressed issues that conventional medicine did not nor could not.

I was suffering from vertigo constantly for the last several months. I have had single episodes for the past 15 years but always recovered within a day or so. However, now I wasn't recovering. I sought out Dr. Furnish because I wanted to treat the root cause of the vertigo not treat it with pharmaceuticals that just masked the issue. I wanted to be cured not just treated. I was in an automobile accident and seemed to be getting better under chiropractic care. However, after some time had passed, I developed severe vertigo and balance issues. When my cervical adjustments made it much worse, thank goodness for the wisdom of my chiropractic son. He sent me to Dr Furnish for a functional neurological exam. I tested with definite neurological issues with more functions diminished than I had even realized. I began care with Dr. Furnish. He worked with my chiropractor advising which adjustments would be counter productive and then proceeded to provide functional neurological treatments and give me an exercise program that he designed for my particular brain based problems. I began to recover. My vertigo disappeared and my balance has been greatly restored. I also have a hearing loss which also at times affects balance so I have continued with Dr Furnish for some time for maintenance treatments. My life has drastically improved since I began seeing him. I came to him, running into walls and am now dancing with ease and balancing in exercise classes. I would highly recommend any person having vestibular issues, nerve damage, etc. and especially seniors in general to see Dr. Furnish for an evaluation. My experiences with Dr Furnish have been very positive. He has helped me tremendously. I no longer have the pain I once experienced in my feet and hands(not related to diabetes), my recall and memory are improving and I'm now working on balance issues. He thoroughly explains his procedures and the benefits they can produce. He provides at home exercises that contributes to those benefits. He is also very patient when I have questions. I went to Dr. Furnish for help with short term memory loss as a result of surgery and chemo. He is very thorough and explains how each procedure helps brain receptors work together the way they should. He freely shares his knowledge and understanding of the brain and how it functions. He gives exercises to work on at home so one can make the most of their time in therapy and make the greatest improvement possible. In my opinion, this was the worst chiropractic experience that I have personally had. Dr. Furnish charged me $499 for a consultation but failed to provide pertinent information to me beforehand. As such, I felt required to seek medical treatment elsewhere. There are too many chiropractors and vertigo medical professionals in Louisville for me to waste my time and money going back to Dr. Furnish. I'll always recommend friends and family go see someone else. In my opinion, this was the worst chiropractic experience that I have personally had. I would send my friends and family elsewhere. It is my opinion that Dr. Furnish failed to be upfront about pertinent information. With so many other vestibular and chiropractic professionals out there, I would go somewhere else.
