Exceptional surgeon /physician and staff.

Dr. Thompkins was very professional and really talked to me about my concern.

Dr Thompkins is a premier spinal surgeon that I would recommend above all others. He put me back together again over 20 years ago and I would do it all over again without question. He is a great surgeon and an even better person.

Dr. Thompkins’ expertise, excellent bedside manner and ability to listen to my concerns as a patient is immeasurable. He helped decipher if/when surgical intervention would be necessary. He also educated me on what to expect and allowed me (the patient) make a final decision. I commend his entire LBJ on excellent continuity of care and their ability to respond to my needs in a very timely manner.

First meeting went well. Dr. Thompkins has a very good "bedside manner" and is very knowledgeable!

Dr. Anton and his staff are super nice. He takes the time to actually talk to me and explain finding and treatments.

Dr Tompkins is the best! Takes time with me and explains things! I have had several back surgeries and will need more in future. I hope to stay with him for any future surgeries as the outcome is always great!

Found my problem right away something I’ve had for years.

Dr. Thompkins is a great spine surgeon and excellent listener. If you tell him something isn't right, he will take every avenue to find the problem. Other doctors don't care to look into it further, but that is not the case with Dr. Thompkins. Excellent care.

I had a broken neck and needed emergency surgery. I was leery of having it in a small town hospital. They called in Dr. Thompkins from Chesterton, and he immediately calmed us, told us he wanted to help and if we wanted to go elsewhere he would arrange it. He also said that if we chose to use him he had no doubt that he could successfully perform this surgery and would have told us if he did. The surgery went perfectly. They called in Dr. Thompkins from Chesterton, and he immediately calmed us, told us he wanted to help and if we wanted to go elsewhere he would arrange it. I was leery of having it in a small town hospital, but he also said that if we chose to use him he had no doubt that he could successfully perform this surgery and would have told us if he thought it was a problem. He had a great deal of experience working at a trauma center. We chose him and the surgery went perfectly. I wish I could give him more stars. He's the best.

With the complicated world of Healthcare right now. It so appreciative that Dr. Thompkins and his staff remain so caring to their patients it is very reassuring to know that their patients remain their focus and they go above and beyond to me the patients needs with kindness and compassion at every visit.

I am in the process of having to make the decision of having surgery and Dr. Thompkins's has been so kind and patient with me he's reached out to my other doctors to discuss what needs to be done and as I have not yet made the decision he told me I have to be ready and when I am he will be there for me . The staff were very attentive, friendly, and expedient . Dr. Thompkins took time to explain everything well and showed compassion. I am glad that I'm under his care.

My deepest thanks to Dr. Thompson, Dr. Musgrave, Dr. Rao, and all the staff at Lake Bone & Joint Institute. I couldn't have asked for better care. Happy Holidays!

Very friendly and professional

Hi so I have been sleeping in a chair for 4 years and was doing what insurance required, such as PT, and spinal injection that didn’t work for me, I had MRI’s. I had missed a year of any treatment due to covid and thyroid removal. When I returned to LSBJ I was having weakness and numbness in my left foot and leg. I seen the NP and scheduled another MRI nothing changed so when I seen the pain management dr she said to have these changes but mri no change let’s do an X-ray with you standing. That was the key to see the dramatic difference and why I was feeling what I was in my back, leg, foot. Surgery was therefor what I needed. I praise God for dr Nath working as a team with Dr Thompkins and for Dr Thomkins whom I trust with my life. Surgery is the last thing they want to do but when required he’s the best at what he does last night was the first time I slept all night in my bed in nearly five years. Thank you God for my team and Doctor Nath and Dr Thompkins for this precious gift. Dr Tompkins was a very nice Dr. He took the time to explain everything to me.

Alot of the patients were talking about Dr Thompkins in the waiting room. They were saying how good he was. I feel lucky to have him as my surgeon, and I agreer with them.

Dr.Thompkins was wonderful. He listened to me and took his time with me. He explained and showed me what the issue was by reviewing the MRI. I recommend him to anyone with back issues.

Dr. Thompkins and staff are thee most wonderful caring and loving staff, I had surgery for C5 disc on my neck/ spine And surgery went great, I'm still recovering, but no more pain in arm , leg and head.
