Dr. Shevchuk saw us when we needed an emergency dental care. He was very accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to assure the highest quality of service. I would definitely recommend him, since he goes above and beyond to meet his patients' needs.

On vacation in Bodega Bay & broke a tooth. Dr. Shevchuk got me in first thing Monday morning, fixed my broken tooth and I didn't need Novacaine. Excellent staff and location also. So thankful to all. What a treasure in an unexpected place.

I have twin daughters who both were missing a tooth in the front of their mouth and have another that was severely under-developed. They have been under orthodontic care for five years and Dr. Andriy has worked in conjunction with the orthodontist and overseen the process to assure that the end result of these two young ladies is nothing but a beautiful stunning smile. Dr. Andriy's attention to detail and commitment to perfection is second to none. Dr. Andriy and his staff went above and beyond the call of duty on several occasions. He worked with my daughters difficult college schedule and logistics of travel time. He and his staff worked late hours to put on 4 crowns in one day and the result was two stunning smiles on both girls. THEN….After five years in braces, and just one short week with a new beautiful smile, one of my daughters fell and broke one of her new crowns. I went to his office to show him the picture of my daughters accident. I was truly dreading the reality of having to re-do what was just done. Dr. Andriy’s reaction was one of those moments, where you can literally feel the pressure falling off your shoulders as he shot me a great big smile and said: “We can fix that - no problem!”. For the second time, Dr. Andriy and Tina, worked a scheduling miracle and arranged for my daughter to come in two days later. My daughter had an 8 o'clock appointment in the morning - at 10 o'clock she had her new crown on and with an even bigger smile than the first time, headed back for college. The service and quality of work we have received at Dr. Andriy's office is second to none. The entire staff: Tina, Naomi, Don, are wonderful and always make us feel like they truly care about our health and well-being. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shevchuck and his staff. Dr. Shevchuck is very thorough and attentive. I've had several challenging dental situations and he was always there and coordinated whatever care I needed from other practitioners. He is up on the latest technology and methods. He is gentle and explains what is going on. He is very fair. The staff is very supportive and it's just a pleasure to go to this dentist's office. Dr. Shevchuck and his staff are the best! Simply the BEST! Like all the other 5 star reviews here, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Andriy and his wonderful team. I simply adore them all. I don't have an easy dental situation so I have been through many dentists in the Bay Area and Dr. Andriy is the only dentist I can highly recommend. I have been using this office for my dental needs since 1989. I was worried when dr. Mcniel retired but he left us in good hands. Don does an excellent job of cleaning, the staff is friendly and by now almost feels like family. Dr Andriy is very good and has my total confidence. I recomend him highly. Well done everyone.

He is the Best Dentist that I have ever experienced. I have lots of issues with my teeth and he is honest, can do a veneer in one appointment and is high tech, compassionate and professional. I referred my BFF and she is amazed with his professionalism and honesty... How many Dentists say, "You should be fine for the next 2 years, as long as you do your maintenance cleaning." Also, the staff and Hygienist are considerate and professional. It seems weird that in the sweet little town of Occidental that we have such a Dentist who is one of the best Dentists whom I encountered in my life! I was very sorry when Steve MacNeal, the Occidental DDS who has treated me been for decades, retired a few years ago...I had serious reservations about meeting Andriy Shevchuk, his replacement...But I was immediately, happily, surprised. For one thing, the entire staff has stayed on and the office has the same warm, familial atmosphere. Dr. Shevchuk himself is confident, extremely well-trained, and curious and caring about his patients. He has solved some delicate problems in my mouth and now i trust him with all things dental. He has expanded the practice to include root canals and implants, which saves his clients money and time and means that one sharp and busy brain is overseeing a complicated set of procedures. This has saved me thousands of dollars. He spends time researching and training in his field and he is passionate about learning the latest methods. He is a clear communicator and often has a few options for treatment. I have thanked Steve MacNeal profusely for choosing Dr. Shevchuk to continue his legacy of excellent dentistry in Occidental. I whole-heartedly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a terrific dentist, no matter your age. I drive over 40 minutes out of my own city just to get to DrAndriys dental office. Lovely setting relaxing views and friendly gentle staff. My bite has improved since coming to this office. Highly recommend this Dentist.

I selected Dr. Andriy Shevchuk, who was head and shoulders above the rest. Today was my first visit to Dr.Shevchuk. I found him very knowledgable and thorough and spent over an hour on my initial exam as well as a deep cleaning. He didn't push any unneeded work. His staff was very friendly and knowledgable as well. How fantastic to have such a great dentist so close by.

I switched dentist's just recently... all I can say is...shoulda done it years ago. Dr. Andriy is the tops in professionalism, explains every thing and yet an equal measure of easy going comfortable. All the staff are great... so lucky to have this home town dentist in west county.

I have been using Occidental Dental for probably 10 years now. They’ve been wonderful to work with. Highlights...my dog chewed up my bite guard and Dr. Andriy saw me the next day to clean it up and make it usable again saving me some expense compared to replacing it. Another noteworthy experience was when I found out my wife’s medical insurance had been covering my dental for a year without me knowing. The office staff contacted my insurance company and had several hundred dollars refunded and deposited in my account retroactively. What more could anyone ask for? Dr. Shevchuk is an outstanding dentist! We have been going to him for 5 years. The office staff is friendly, and they put you at ease when you walk in.. Dr Shevchuk Is thorough in his examinations, is clear in his explanations and is always concerned about your comfort. Twice he has replaced cracked childhood fillings with crowns. He has the latest equipment and makes the crowns in house so there are no temporaries and everything is done in 1 appointment. I absolutely love going here ...which is a huge compliment since I typically hate going to the dentist. I recommend this dental office to anyone. All of the office staff members are wonderful. They are kind, personable, caring, and attentive. They will do whatever they can to help you and follow through with your requests. They always remember you by name when you arrive. The dentist, Andriy Shevchuk is so amazing. He is super intelligent, highly skilled in his profession, and very kind. He will make you feel at ease during your appointment. He is also very quick so the appointments will go by very quickly. When he uses the big needle, for local anesthesia, you barely feel any pain. Sometimes no pain at all. That is always a relief for me. I have gone to Dr. Andriy for many different types of dental work and he is always a master. The dental hygienist is also wonderful. She is very thorough and takes great care of my teeth hygiene. She is also an absolute pleasure to speak with, which is always nice when you are sitting in her chair for 40-60 minutes for a teeth cleaning. Location and office decor: the location could not be cuter since the office is located in the beautiful town of Occidental. I am 65 years old and have had many experiences with Dental issues. I have had root canals, extractions, gold crowns (you can tell how old I am with these), inlays, veneers and on top of this I am a "Grinder". Andriy is amazing! He is honest with me and I appreciate this. Recently, I had to have a Veneer replaced on a of my front tooth. He did it right there in the office via computers and his "fine-tuning" of the veneer. The match was perfect! His is my favorite Dentist ever!

Dr. Andriy Shevchuk is the dentist there. I moved to Occidental two years ago and was relieved to a good dentist after looking for a long time in Santa Rosa and other places. I've had a ton of work done on my teeth over the years living in different parts of the country, and I must say Dr. Andriy is the best dentist I've been to. He is very personable and generally a nice guy. But more importantly he is an exceptional dentist. Very thorough and detail oriented. I recommend his practice very much.
