His knowledge has no limits - thanks to his experience that includes working in different countries and environments, with variety of individuals and groups, I guarantee he is able to treat literally any psychiatric and sleep disorder. He is would listen to all your issues, asking many questions, going deep into details - to come up with the best treatment plan that helps your condition. Dr. Golbin is an excellent psychiatrist. One who listens, thinks critically and doesn’t just plug little tidbits of information into DSM diagnoses. He has treated me as an equal in the the healthcare relationship and has been very helpful in reversing damage done by other psychiatrists. He has been helpful with sleep apnea and CPAP issues as well.

Worst Doctor ever! He is more concerned about his reputation than his patients. Doesn’t go over any of the tests he has you do keeps them to himself only tells you what he wants. It is not an understatement to say that Dr. Golbin saved my life. From the moment I walked in he treated me like family. He has been honest, kind, and compassionate…not to mention he is one of the top professionals in his field. He is wis with not only experience but up to date with current medical practices. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for him and his whole staff. Thank you, Dr. Golbin.

Dr. Golbin I always helpful and responsive to any of my questions. He always makes sure to squeeze me in when I am back from school, and its very appreciated.

The field of psychiatry seems to be filled with doctors who want to throw darts at a wall to figure out if random sets of medication will work for the patient. Dr. Golbin is not like that in any way and it is a breath of fresh air. He is interested in actually helping you get better and not just seeing if a random assortment of medication will alleviate your problems. He is considerate, thorough, and an expert on how the brain functions. His experience is an asset and I would recommend him to anyone that is trying to manage their mental health demons.

From the very first minutes of the visit, Dr. Golbin manages to create an atmosphere of trust, keeping a very helpful balance between strictly medical issues and empathy, understanding his patients on a basic human level. Given his field of expertise, it builds a doctor/patient partnership so needed when dealing with health issues. Certainly, ready to recommend Dr. Golbin, especially to people for whom these qualities of his are of great importance.

Dr. Golbin is a world class Psychiatrist so I learn something with each appointment. I had a wonderful teleconference and I felt like we were together.

If you don't want to go from doctor to doctor looking for answers, then come to see Dr. Golbin. This doctor will assess your whole body and he will evaluate your symptoms, deepest fears and concerns. He will not offer heavy medications, but he will work with you and your family family if necessary. Dr. Golbin helped my husband understand and resolve a lot of issues. We are truly very thankful.

Great doctor, patient for 3 years before seeing him was in and out of psych hospitals. Since being a patient of his my meds have been lowered and I have been hospital free. Dr. Golbin helped me tremendously. I was suffering from not sleeping for a month. Dr. Golbin listened to me, came up with the strategy and gave me hope that I will be OK. Visiting his office, speaking to his staff was always a pleasant experience. Thank you doctor for giving me my life back!

I looked online prior to going to see Dr. Golbin... big mistake. I don't know why this guy gets such good reviews. Both my grandfather and I had awful experiences with him (unbeknownst to each other). I never feel like he takes me seriously... every time I go in, it's: "You have one diagnosis... young, smart, and beautiful." Really? Really?? He also made an aside about how I overreact as a young woman (in addition to other medical reasons). What! His staff up front are great, and the sleep study I had was fine. Finally i've found a great sleep doctor! Dr. Golbin is a brilliant, very informed sleep doctor. Actually, everyone at this facility is extremely courteous and very professional. Dr Golbin treated my depression/anxiety for many years. He is a kind, attentive, caring and sensitive doctor who will listen and address your needs. I was in a very bad place due to misdiagnosis and taking the wrong meds, and Dr Golbin helped me get onto the medicine that was right for me. He is a sleep medicine specialist but he was excellent giving me some tough love and lots of support treating my very specific issues. I could not recommend him more highly.

Dr. Golbin is treating for sleep apnea. The length of my sleep at nigh has improved. He is also treating me for falling asleep during the day doing tings such as seeing a movie or play or attending a concert. There has been significant improvement with that problem.

I had a work accident I was in pain for yrs and couldn't sleep a friend told me about dr golbin so I made appt.i went to see him and after a few months I was getting better then I finally was able to sleep and had my pain in control I would tell anybody to go to him for help i am glad my friend recommend him

I have been seeing Dr. Golbin for over 6 years for a pretty severe sleep disorder due to a brain injury. Dr. Golbin is a caring, compassionate Dr. who takes the time to listen and discuss options for treatment. Through therapy and medication he has made my life, and sleep much more manageable. . I wish I had met him sooner. I would highly recommend this caring man who is patient, kind and knows his profession well.

The doctor never asked for my son's medical history when we visited the clinics. This was a very poor judgement on the doctor's side and could posed biased conclusion on any findings. Also, after the medical procedure EEG, which costs us $600 out of pocket, we never received any diagnostics and findings. After the EEG, he didn't give us any real medical prescription, but only prescribed herbal supplement. The supplement didn't help with the symptoms at all.

He is a tremendous advocate for his patients. He never rushes and takes the time to ensure he finds solutions to problems big and small. He is the most compassionate doctor I have ever seen. He and his staff truly care about their patient's health and well being.

Dr. Golbin really cares about patients and gets to know each on a personal level. I found that his staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. When I first came into this medical office in October my life was in shambles, and thanks to Dr. Golbin's guidance, I have excelled in all major aspects of my life; such as, achieving high honor roll in college, being promoted at my job, and becoming a more sociable person. I highly recommend Dr. Golbin to anyone in need of a good psychiatrist.

After years of disappointing experience with other adolescent psychiatrists, we found Dr. Golbin. In a short time, he built trust with our teen and his parents, and created a medication/ therapy plan that created amazing positive change regarding sleep and mood. He is warm, caring and personal rather than robotic in his approach to treatment. Our only regret-that we didn't meet him earlier!

Dr. Alexander Golbin is an incredible Doctor and man. I'm very impressed in the work and progress he has made with both my son and I. Dr Golbin is one amazing Doctor and person. My father was a Dr and I've met many and he has really stood out as an exceptional Dr for my son and I both. He is super smart, caring and dynamic. He was thorough and explained everything he was doing and why. I wish he was still here in Vernon Hills. I miss this man.

After years of suffering with depression and memory issues treated by my physician I went to Dr. Golbin, he was warm and I found it easy to talk to him about the help I needed. Several years ago, I had four sleepless nights in a month. Someone recommended Dr. Golbin to me. He wasted no time conducting a sleep study on me and was able to find the source of the problem. Through prescribing the right treatment and actively counseling me - as well as checking in on my sleep habits - Dr. Golbin has been a wonderful asset in my life as well as a true professional! You will not find a more caring, kind physician who also knows just as much about sleep medicine.
