Plastic Surgeons should all be trained surgeons and should be certified. But certification is a voluntary credential and will only tell a patient that their doctor has had the appropriate training, passed written and oral examinations, and meets the basics. Dr. Alexander Digenis, expertly trained and eminently certified, goes beyond the body canvas. Dr. Digenis possesses that elusive quality that cannot be taught: aesthetic vision. He has a classical Hellenic concept of proportion, giving his patients singularly appropriate refinement as if just perfecting what angels missed. He is a sculptor, molding breasts, waists, thighs and hips.

From the beginning, I knew I had landed at the "right" cosmetic practice just from the phone conversation I had with Emily. She was kind, knowledgeable, professional yet put me at ease in a matter of seconds. She assured me my consultation with Dr. Digenis would be fantastic...and IT WAS! He was extremely meticulous with his explanations and helped me when I wasn't sure what direction to take (I'm getting a breast augmentation and then tummy tuck). I also had an injectable that afternoon with Robin and I won't go anywhere else moving forward. This group of people know what they're doing and that makes me feel solid knowing I made the right decision picking them.

Dr. D, Robin, Emily and staff are amazing! Every time I am there they are so helpful and friendly. They never try to over sell any product. Instead, they give honest opinions and recommendations on what I may need and like or don’t need. I would highly recommend them!

I debated getting a breast lift for years and my husband finally convinced me to do my research and find the best in town. Well, did I ever. Dr Digenis was so thorough and knowledgeable about so many things. He answered every question of mine so I felt great about moving forward with surgery. Robin did my preop and she was wonderful...so wonderful in fact, she now is my nurse injector for dermal fillers and I've never looked better. Emily calmed my nerves right before surgery and is just great to deal with, too. I love these people and this office.

I received a dermaplane and chemical peel from Corie. She included a hand massage, which I was not expecting! Very relaxing treatment and my face looks, and feels so smooth!

Dr. Digenis performed his signature Digenis Refresh Lift on me in office and I couldn't be happier with the results. It was a straight forward procedure and I feel refreshed, more youthful and all my friends are jealous!

Dr Digenis is the premiere plastic surgeon in Louisville--if not in the universe! There is a reason that he has been voted Top Doc for years by his peers. I have been going to him for over 10 years. Initially he was recommended by my internist. Recently he worked his magic on my face.. a complicated asymmetrical brow lift. He and his staff (including his experienced, very competent nurse, Robin) were comprehensive in analyzing the obstacles (uneven brows, high hair line, widows peak, dry eye and glaucoma eye conditions). The reason I include this in review is it is so important not to glaze over the challenges prior to making the decision to have plastic surgery. My end result is I am over-the-moon pleased with my results and we took the more conservative route to avoid eye and hairline issues down the road.

I read over all of these reviews about a million times before my surgery. I put lots of faith in not only Dr. Digenis, but also the reviews of people just like me. Dr. D was recommended to me by a beautiful woman in my community that is in her early 70's.... she said, " Don't you let anyone touch your face but Dr. D." In August I had a "refresh lift" and also my upper eyelids done. I am 62 and my jawline had fat pockets and my neck was beginning to sag. One side of my face was droopier than the other.... Dr. Digenis did amazing work on me. He promised that I would be a younger version of myself and that is exactly what I am. I could not be happier at 5 weeks post surgery! Loved the staff- they were friendly, very welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Digenis was a gem too- fortunately because he was running way behind and I had to wait quite a bit. Thank goodness he was apologetic otherwise I may have left. Absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. D, Robin &the whole staff. I am 44 and had big babies when I was in my 20s(10 & 9.3 lbs) leaving me with a large baby pooch. I thought I could workout harder and fix it myself. Fast forward 15 yrs and still no better. I finally found out I had diastases recti and nothing I did on my own (including Phys. Dr. Digenis is AMAZING! He did my reconstruction after a prophylactic total double mastectomy and I look like a breast augmentation because of his work!!! THE BEST! I had a breast augmentation last Oct and when from a AA to a C! Dr. Digenis is so nice and made me feel so comfortable. He also really took the time to listen to me in the consult as to what I wanted. He showed me a portfolio and what good and bad augmentations look like. He also really teaches you about the types of implants and procedures to figure out what is best for you. The staff is also absolutely fabulous. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my results!

So this is my 4th or 5th go-around with Dr. Digenis. First saw him back in 2006 and have had procedures from complicated to minor. All the outcomes have been stellar and have stood the test of time! Recently had work from another doc corrected and a lift. The "girls" look like they are in their 20s! (i am not lol). As usual, Dr. D took extra time and effort to do things right (he's very good when it comes to scars) No one knows I've had any work done (one of his hallmarks) and I'm constantly getting asked what fountain of youth I've been drinking from! You will get no excuses after the fact with this doc. He takes such pride in his work and such care with his patients. His staff are friendly and caring as well. He takes time with appts. and listens carefully to what you want. If he steers you in another direction? Listen to him. He knows what he is doing and only wants the best results and the most bang-for-the-buck for all his patients. Cant say enough good things!

Best physician and staff I've ever encountered

I have been a client for skin care services with Katie Zink, Clinical Aesthetician for several years and can honestly say my skin is the best it's ever been. She's thorough, honest and truly keeps your best interest in mind. Katie's sole focus is caring for your skin, not selling you the most expensive product on the shelf. The entire practice is top notch.
