Dr. Alberto Issa Garmo

Left a message to see if he was taking on new cases. He had the decency to return my call and asked follow up questions, which included an inquiry about my insurance. I informed him that I had both a PPO and Medicaid, which I already checked with my primary provider to see if he was in network. Instead of asking questions, specifically about my insurance, he could of simply said he wasn’t taking on new cases at this time. However, he misunderstood and basically presumed I wouldn’t be able to pay for his services or “prescriptions” by stating, “I am also not in network with Medicaid and if your primary insurance is connected through medicaid then you would likely not be able to get prescriptions covered by insurance if I wrote a prescription.” This just goes to show that he either doesn’t know how primary and secondary insurance work or most likely only cares more about making an easy buck rather than genuinely helping others/clients.

I was a patient of Dr Garmo for almost a year. I became eligible for Medicare but also had Blue Cross.. I was left a message that he can no longer treat me because I had Medicare. What happened to patient care or are we just greedy. How about leaving me a message and discuss this with me! By the way my Blue Cross would cover the visits and so would cash. But I wasn’t given any option. Do not go to this greedy Dr.

I saw this Dr. for almost a year. The minute I got Medicare and Blue Cross I received a message from him that he could not treat me any longer. Not even a discussion. My Blue Cross would cover his greedy practice and so would cash. What happened to patient care? A year and I get a message????? Do not go to this uncaring Dr.

Dr. Garmo is the first physiatrist I have returned to. I find him kind, easy to talk to, and caring. I had rough sessions but always walked out feeling lighter and ready to push forward. I feel Dr. Garmo is absolutely in the right profession.

I would recommend Dr. Garmo to others because he's kind, he listens, and he gets to the point. I'm very satisfied with him.

Dr. Garmo is amazingly insightful. He is quick to cut right to the heart of an issue and to break down the barriers. He has changed my life. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
