Dr. Alan D Wilkinson

I would have to describe my experience with Dr. Wilkinson as one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a Healthcare professional. The experience started off on the wrong foot immediately as the receptionist had scheduled my appointment incorrectly and told me that I was not supposed to be seen until the following morning (which was not the case because I had scheduled the appointment to see Dr. Wilkinson through my family Dentist). To make a long story short, Dr. Wilkinson is an extremely abrasive and arrogant man. I have never, in my life, felt so uncomfortable a healthcare professional. Every time I attempted to ask a question or to pick his brain, he would somehow find a way to demean me or to make me feel stupid. If I even hinted at questioning his judgement or assessment of my pain or condition, he did not hesitate to rattle off his résumé or accolades. Why, as a patient, would I ever want to be argumentative with a physician or any other healthcare provider who I am PAYING and taking time off work to go receive help from? This clown even went to far as to start an argument with me on the price NFL and college football helmets; to which my response was: "Dr. Wilkinson, I am not here to argue semantics, but rather to get to the bottom of my the pain in my mouth." I would not recommend Dr. Wilkinson to ANYONE unless you want to witness the man with the biggest ego in the city of Louisville.
