Matt San Jacinto NP was professional, said would seek ins. Approval of epidural steroid injection right away. Now is two months gone by and ins. has no record of submission. Office manager and clerks very rude on repeated phone calls. Adam may be great surgeon but support staff sucks!!! Definitely go elsewhere.

Dr Brant is a wonderful, caring doctor. Great bedside manner. He did my neck surgery. His gifted hands gave me back the use of mine. Thank you, Dr Brant.

Dr. Brant was great with his treatment with myself, wife and couple friends. I see people get frustrated with not being sent direct to surgery but he has a caring heart and tries conservative treatment before going that route unlike others. In my case I wasn't surgical and great full as wasn't ready to go that route. His practitioner Matthew is great as well with a great sense of humor. Just know your in great hands with Dr Brant and his staff. His secretary Nicole is out of this world with her dedication and goes out of her way to answer any questions I had. I had an appointment today with Dr Brant because I’ve been experiencing bad back pain and stiffness. I had surgery almost a year ago so I understand my back is not the same anymore but I know my body and I know how bad I’ve been in pain. It affects my everyday life. I feel he did not care to hear what I had to say about what I’ve been feeling. My appointment was no more than 5 minutes. Then before I made my appointment his office ordered me a back X-ray. When I asked him about the results he told me he didn’t know I had one and he didn’t know why I had it done. On top of all this there was a billing issue and my insurance company and myself could not get through to speak with anybody from their billing department. I suffered with terrible back pain for many years. A couple of different doctors told me there was really nothing they could do to relieve the pain other than pain medicine, which I did not want to be on long term. I was referred to Dr. Brandt and when I met him I immediately felt that he knew what the problem was and that he could genuinely help relieve the pain. He explained everything fully about the surgery I needed and was patient with all of the questions my wife and I had regarding what the surgery, the hospital stay, and the recovery period would entail. He and his staff were very professional and helpful. After my extensive lower back surgery was done, the only regret I had was that I waited so long. I would highly recommend Dr. Brandt for anyone that needs back surgery. It has been exactly one year ago today I had the surgery and I am still very grateful to Dr. Brandt and his staff. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

He did an excellent job on my neck surgery. He had very good bedside manners and kept his appointments in a timely manner. Prior to surgery he discovered a spot on one of my vertebrates indicating possible bone cancer. He immediately himself contacted MRI facility and got me in for pet scans and MRI's the very next day. He went up and beyond to help me and was sincere in his concern for my health and safety. I would strongly recommend him as a very top notch professional surgeon who cares for his patients

Very disappointed with Dr. Brant's staff as they sat on my Referral t UCSF for well over a month as they had an appointment with myself and stated I was being referred due to the nature of my condition. While Dr.Brant is a neurosurgeon I had a cervical operation by him, he put a cage in where he removed the herinated disc at the c-5 level ,in 2009 , a short time later the cage slipped , he than went into the back of the neck and installed rods and screws , I still have pain in both arms and neck , I think he should have went to the front and replaced the cage he put in earlier , he also operated on my wife's neck after a car accident she was in in 2012 and she also has pain in her still to this day. I think he should have done a better job on but of us. Dr Adam Brant did my disc fusion back in 2008. Before my surgery I was in constant pain, unable to work more then 4 hours a day, unable to stand up straight and was unable to walk normally. Since my surgery my pain was relieved immensely. Ten years later my back is still functioning well and gets me through my work day. I still have sciatic nerve pain down my left leg but it is tolerable and on my worse days I just take a couple Tylenol. He was always very nice and attentive in when I had questions and concerns. very thorough and considerate, goes over all pros and con before surgery.Very kind and explains everything in detail and listens to patient and their concerns. would recommend him very highly, took me from immobile to walking over 2 miles a day in six months, after fuseing discs.

Will not return calls, has not submitted my paper work to insurance after a month. Waited on hold for 20 mins to tell me the person I need to talk to had to step in with the doctor.

Recently had extensive neck surgery. Suffered reaction to anesthesia during surgery. Team was great and identified problem right away. My recovery has been fantastic.

I saw Dr Brant because I had crippling pain in my arm that was not responding well to medications. It was a constant 4-6 on the pain scale that would spike to an 8-9 frequently throughout the day. He got me in fairly quick and once the MRIs were done, he scheduled surgery immediately. The whole process was very quick. The moment I woke up in the recovery room after surgery I was pain free. This man is a life saver.

Dr. Brant is pleasant but not overly friendly; he's professional and focused so be sure to write down your questions before your appointment and have someone with you to jot down answers. He is concerned but not overly sympathetic. He is kind but direct; he is quick and to the point but not rushed. He is very certain about what surgical approaches are the best and won't do any of the "latest/newest, least invasive" procedures.

I am a 68 yr. old women who has had various surgeries with various outcomes. By far Dr. Brant was the BEST SURGEON I'VE EVER HAD......All and more questions were answered, and he and his assistant were available to me throughout the process!! His staff is exemplary!!!!! Dr Brant via a flexible x-ray was able to pinpoint my problem at L4-L5. The surgery went smoothly and I was released on the 4th day (Thanksgiving). Everything he said would happen, happened. I am now 14 weeks post-op with no pain. I only have the muscles in my back to strengthen. I suffered with nerve pain and numbness for 11 years. I feel like a new man!

Dr. Brant is the real deal. I was required to have surgery immediately due to a rapid deterioration in my case, 3 level acdf. Dr. Brant answered all of my questions and delivered exactly what he said that he would. I had quite a bit of concern about letting a local surgeon operate near my spinal cord, but Dr. Brant did a fantastic job. Dr. Brant's staff was friendly, expeditious and helpful. I have recommended Dr. Brant to a close family member and friends.

Recently I had my 2nd major surgery with Dr. Brant. He provided great skill and care. His staff is also very patient and understanding. I am still in recovery mode and have more follow up appointments which I expect will go smoothly.

If you are looking for a caring, highly skilled neurosurgeon, I would highly recommend Dr. Brant. I had neck surgery in Sept 2016 and am extremely happy with my results. So thankful I was referred to him by my pain management physician.

I had vertebrae C4,5,&6 fused together. Dr. Brandt's staff was very polite and professional, wait times were short. I was amazed of how little pain I had after the surgery, and was surprised how fast my recover was. Hospital staff was equally friendly and professional. Dr. Brandt explained the surgery in detail and removed any fears or doubts. My scar is so tiny and thin you don't any see it! I would gladly recommend Dr. Brandt.

Dr Brant has always been very professional with me. He takes time to answer all my questions without seeming rushed. He viewed my MRI and XRays with me in person, explaining everything. My surgery went very well too, and ever since waking up in the recovery room, I've not had any further neck/back pain. I have already recommended him to several people, including my husband.

when was referral to dr. Brant by my primary doctor. I was not getting any help with the lower back pain that been hurt me for a year. when they saw the MRI and X_RAY they knew what needed to be done. I'm in recovery but the pain that been hurting me is gone!Just need to do what the Doctor say for a health recovery.

DO NOT RECOMMEND, failed to look at MRI, didntt know why I was there, left room, came back in room said I needed surgery still failed to review MRI, said to call and schedule an appointment. 2nd appointment refused to look at MRI, totally unprofessional- I walked out. BEWARE- IF YOU NEED SURGERY DO NOT SETTLE FOR A DOCTOR WHO WILL NOT REVIEW YOUR MRI WITH YOU and RECOMMENDS SURGERY! ITS YOUR BODY and physical health at risk. FYI got 2nd opinion, new PCP and almost a year later FEEL GREAT!

I had spinal fusion surgery by Dr. Brant in 2008. I was able to resume running, backpacking, and skiing with 1 year after surgery. My outcome was optimal.

The lumbar disc replacement procedure was a complete success. I am back to pain free walking the golf course after several years suffering of sciatica in my right leg. I recommend him all over town.

Best physician and amazingly talented neurosurgeon I have ever had the privilege to be his patient. Dr Brant diagnosed and surgically corrected the issues with my neck which were missed over and over by other surgeons. My advice, start with Dr Brant and your search for correcting whatever issue you have will be remedied.

I injured my neck during the summer of 2015 and was referred to Dr. Brant. He has a blessing since our first office visit. Dr. Brant is professional, competent & very knowledgeable in his field and he has a way of easing his patients nerves. When the doctor told me surgery was the only option, I believed & trusted his opinion. I'm no longer in pain & regaining my strength! The entire staff in Dr. Brant's office was helpful, kind, reassuring and competent in their jobs & I highly recommend them.

My experience with Dr. Brant was great. My condition was severe and although I was not experiencing pain, he saw the urgency in the situation and rearranged his schedule to perform the surgery. I followed his post surgery instructions and have had zero pain or complications. 27 months post surgery and I have trained for and completed 4 half marathons and 1 full marathon. Dr. Brant and his staff are excellent and I recommend them to all my friends and family who may need surgery.

My 2nd visit was w/Dr. Brant. He explained the spinal fusion and what to expect. He sent me for another MRI, & for a Med Clearance from my primary doc. He sent me for an xray of my neck for the airway passage during surgery. He went on vacation, & I had to wait 6 wks. My son was w/me. Dr. Brant didn't seem to know my history and said he could not help me. We were shocked. No explanation. Total opposite. Only reason given was that my leg wasn't hurting, but it didn't hurt at prev visit.
