Dr. Abubakar Denja Ibrahim

My daughter had appointment with Dr. Ibrahim to get tested for diabetes. There is a family history including myself. My daughter began to have diabetic symptoms, blood sugar running as high as 247. Test results were suppose to be back the following Monday. No call from the doctor or his office. No call on Tuesday so I called to find out when will the doctor contact. The office worker kept saying the chart on his desk. I called Wednesday morning and office worker promised to speak with him after he arrives, found out at 4 pm, he doesnt come into the office on Wednesdays another lie. Today is Thursday of the next week, no call with results. If you care about your family, do not even think about visiting this doctor's office. I was told to make another appointment to come in and get the results. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THIS OFFICE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND HE NEEDS TO HAVE HIS LICENSE TAKEN AWAY.

Dr knows each of my children by name and always asks about them when he sees us. He has always shown us compassion and listened as we explained any issues we have and acted on any concern immediately. I have recommended other to him and will continue to go to him myself as well.

I was a new patient needing a follow up due to going to the ER for tendonitis. I waited an hour for Ibrahim to come in the room. He came in watching a conference on his phone and told me to ignore it. Barely listened to my health problems. He was Very unprofessional! The staff is awesome but I will NEVER go back.

Great doctor as well as staff. I’ve been going to him for several years now and I enjoy his bed side manners too. He laughs and spends time talking with me. Most doctors don’t have the time to sit and talk.

Dr. Ibrahim is always available and listens...he will try his best to diagnose and fix the issue and if he is unable to access the problem he will quickly refer you to a specialist.

This Doctor takes no regards to the concerns of cross interactions with medication. He is rude and offensive if you question him in regards to your own health and medications. "I'm the doctor, you're the patient" was his response to me when I asked about cross interactions with my mental health medications and the Clonadine and Lexapro he was prescribing me. This Doctor should be looked into if not have his license revoked. He is very inconsiderate to his white patients and shows favoritism to his colored patients. Having an appointment time means you are seen within reason of said time, not made to wait 2+ hours so he can see his "preferred" patients. I'm just glad I never took my children to him.

I took my sister to him for a mammogram bc she has a lump and he was rough rude and I couldn't understand anything he was saying needless to say we're switching doctors I think this poor treatment came from not having private insurance we basically was mistreated and forgotten about when I stepped out to check on our wait time he was in the lobby watching tv mind you we were waiting 2hours after we were brought back. Highly dissatisfied. I do not recommend.

The staff is nice enough, although, they seems scared of him. He, on the other hand, is completely incompetent. He also doesn't understand the concept of an appointment other than scheduling as many as possible as a revenue stream. He should seriously have his license revoked. Save yourself the frustration and find a doctor who has a clue.

Don't go to this croc of a doctor. His staff seems nice enough, but whenever I talk to him and try to tell him about my ailments, it doesn't matter what it is, he just writes me a prescription and pushes my mom and I out the door. He doesn't talk to me and makes me feel like we're just another burden on him. This is a major reason I don't go to this guy anymore. I've been his patient for over sixteen years never had any problems with the doctor and the staff always treated me kindly never rude.

I have been seeing Dr Ibrahim for about 2 years now. Came in for a follow up visit that he scheduled and he was very unconcerned, annoyed and to be honest, just rude! I’m sorry he was having a bad day! He won’t have to worry about me returning! I have been a patient at this office for years. The doctor is great & staff. Dr. Ibrahim takes time and concern to insure that all of my medical concerns are heard and addressed with the proper medical care.

I’m not sure why there are bad reviews. I have been with him for 13 years and have referred many people to him. He literally saved my life! I had a spinal injury that the hospital I was in caused. He caught it and sent me to the right team of experts. I salute him. He’s a great doctor. I absolutely love his staff as well.

I just moved to Shreveport and needed a new doctor. I found Dr. Ibrahim as a doctor on my insurance and it was close so I made an appointment. I then googled him. I was almost swayed by the negative but I work in a field where people love to negative review me if they get told no so I said I am going. I am so grateful I did. The staff was great all the way through. I felt heard and not chastised for health issues I had been ignoring. They took blood and it didn't hurt and no bruise at all! (This is hard since I have very small veins.) I even told him about the Google reviews. I am very pleased with how attentive he was and feel like he actually heard my concerns and addressed them. My daughter had the worst experience with this man. He is so unprofessional and his staff. He wrote her the wrong prescription and did not want to correct it. How can you force someone to change medicines if they don't want too? I would not recommend a pet animal to go to Dr. Ibrahim. He should be pulled from the medical community. He doesn't even really check patients, he only checks their blood pressure, asks 2 questions and that's it. He just wants to bill your insurance! Trash!

A waste of time n gas

Amazing physician and super compassionate and caring! He is quick when it comes to tests needed and the appointment is set extremely fast by the outside institution carrying out the procedure. My kidney specialist referred me to him and I’m super glad he did! His staff is kind and professional and he is externally caring also. He cuts to the chase when you tell him your health concern and knows exactly what to do and treat. He is not only a medical doctor, he also holds his Masters in Public Health which is impressive. So blessed to have him as my physician and happy my kidney specialist referred me to his office. When making my first appointment, I was able to get seen by him the next day! Impressed and that’s an understatement!

I had an esthetic stroke and was referred to him by the wk rehabilitation hospital on line ave. I was very comfortable with him and his staff.he is going to try to get me off some medications so I can start feeling better. I feel like he is a Godsend for me. I was looking for a knowledgeable doctor with a good bedside manner. He is polite and respectful. I read some of the negative reviews and cannot see that it is the same doctor. Not my experience at all. I have some hope that he may be able to help me with my various illnesses ad get me back to my old self. I have every confidence in his treatment for me in the future.

He was very rude and staff seemed scared of him. I left crying and filed a complaint . In response to the complaint he proceeded to tell call me a drug addict and that I cursed him out. That's not at all true. And I never received any kind of treatment.

He’s a nice PERSON I just don’t think he needs to be a “doctor” I’ve only seen him twice and both times I left unsatisfied. He doesn’t check anything or do an exam. You tell him what ur in for and he just writes a prescription. Don’t even know what my prescriptions are for ????????‍♀️

I would never recommend him to not even a dog. I went to go get my prescription filled and they said they needed a PA. The pharmacy called him and was told he would send it and he didn't so I called and he told me to call my insurance provider. I'm. So thre pharmacist said go back to the office and tell him it's got to be him or his nurse. So i go to the front desk and tell them i need him or a nurse to call. He called me to the back and threaten up call the police and said don't come back.

My three children and myself have gone to the doctor for a good two years now . The ladies at the front are very nice and schedule you every thirty days accordingly to work around your schedule . They are by far friendly and always have a smile on their face . They always acknowledge you presence while checking into the office . If you miss your apointment or running late they will fit you in accordingly. The Doctor himself is just their to diagnose you and you are the one that tells him your symptoms and what is going on within your body . He writes prescriptions accordingly . If someone is going to this doctor for their recreational use of medication , he is very intelligent and can tell . If you are in pain and looking for Pain pills he is not the One , that is why they have pain management doctors throughout the city . The staff is amazing! So very respectful and just all around great people. However, the dr himself was a complete self absorbed ass! He scheduled me for a Wednesday twice which reminds u he doesn't work on that day and the second time he did it I had my 6 month old with me. He proceeded to kick me out and tell me not to come back because I asked him if he could please give me the correct medicine my next visit and to please schedule me on a day he actually works. This doctor saved my dad's life. If not for the multiple boxes of free samples and for his help with signing off on a prescription assistance program.. my dad would not be able to afford the medicine that helped his major depression. My dad was on the brink of killing himself when I called and made an appointment with Dr. Ibrahim. Say what you want about his bedside manner, but he was there when it mattered for my dad. This doctor is horrible.In a nutshell, I took a child for an exam and 2 other parents/5 children were present. Doctor storms out and yells at children to sit down, told 1 child to put a magazine down, and made 1 child turn off hand held game. I ignored his rudeness and disrespect until he yelled at my child to get away from the fish tank and sit down. Office had no kid books or anything else to amuse waiting kids. I told doctor what I thought of his behavior and took my child out.

This man is a QUACK! HE proceeded to tell me that I did not know what I was talking about when it came to a rare skin disease that I have. I have been diagnosed by two dermatologist one that did $3,000 worth of biopsies and this man tells me I don't know what I'm talking about and and that is just the tip of the iceberg he wrote another patient two prescriptions for stimulants not knowing that there's a serious drug interaction he needs continuing education or the loss of his license

This doctor truly saved my Dad's life. He had severe undiagnosed depression and couldn't get into LSU Health within a reasonable amount of time. If Dr. Ibrahim hadn't helped him when he did, my dad might have committed suicide. Dr. Ibrahim gave him 3 boxes of free samples for Trintellix (Brintellix) when the other depression medications didn't work, and has continued to fill out the approriate paperwork for my father to receive the medication free of charge from the manufacturer. Not proactive and patient profiles within minutes of visit. Upon talking on a new patient he never checked labs and was sismissive when I asked. Also I'm adopted and want a mammogram he refused said I have to wait until I'm 50. Took about 12 minutes for first intitial visit and all I got was a handful of prescriptions and no closer to knowing the status of my health. My last visit I left in tears because I was very sick following up from ER visit & he was impatient & denied me treatment.

Dr. Ibrahim does not seem very interested in my concerns about certain medications I was put on, and have since suffered severe side effects which made me discontinue those meds as I have been hospitalized twice (not including a seizure). I feel helpless when I leave his office and when I call. His rooms have wallpaper peeling and dents in the walls. Long wait time, even if you are early for your appt, along with inadequate seating in the waiting room. I am giving him one more chance to help me.

Basically, after a few months seeing him, he told me not to call his clinic or he will call the authorities. He is very unprofessional, also his office staff have not been trained properly by this man. HE SUCKS!!!

This doctor is very knowledgeable and have good bedside manners. I believe he saved my child's life by finding his medical condition. Also, in my opinion the wait time to see a doctor is ridiculous. Dr. Ibrahim has provided excellent care in treating the majority of the ailments that I have have to endure. I do have to say that I don't like the company he uses for his billing. They never send me invoices to let me know I have a balance. I believe this is why our relationship as patient/doctor fell apart. I was unaware that I owed him money. I trust his judgement as a medical professional and he will provide you with exceptional care.
