Worst medical facility ever! This doc and his assistant should be thrown in prison for how they treat their clients.

Dr Mehdi's staff were pleasant and worked with me regarding issues I have with body functions from 2 strokes. Dr Mehdi is knowledgeable & explained some things about what neurology can & can't do in my situation.

His office is ugly. Clean, tidy, but not even remotely inviting. Efficient staff. Dr. Mehdi is excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and straight forward in his questions and responses. I very much appreciated his honesty and suggestions. When I need future neurological help I will continue with Dr Mehdi.

Yes, the wait was long but it was worth it. As a new patient, I didn't have to wait long to see him. The office staff was polite and professional. Dr. Mehdi was honest, patient and straight forward from the beginning. He informed me that he wouldn't give up if i didn't give up. I've seen several specialist and they didn't know what was wrong with me because all the testes were normal. Had an appointment today. After waiting two months for my mom to be seen we were very excited. My issue was the staff they don’t say hi they don’t communicate and they all look angry. When people come to a doctors office it’s for a reason and they are in need of help and support. You should greet them say hi ask how they are doing ? I mean you work in health CARE. I don’t understand people who get in the field when nothing about them is CARING. Dr was a straight shooter! Did we get an answer ? No we didn’t but he is to the point and honest. I didn’t feel rushed once we seen him but we did wait two hours for appointment. Off to another dr we go for answers for my mom. Had an appointment today. If I could give them a lower rating I would. Idk which are worst, the doctor or receptionists. They schedule you and tell you a different time. Paperwork was sitting on his desk for 3 months before anyone even read it.

Even with a long wait to see him (most doctors do the same), it was well worth it. He was able to go over my husband's MRI report, examination and explained what he could (more importantly, what he couldn't do) to help. He specializes in seizure type issues and that's what my husband needs. For those who give bad reviews, please make sure you are seeing the RIGHT neurologist that specializes in your particular issue. There are LOTS of neurologists out there and each one has a different area of expertise. We had such a great appointment, I forgot my cell phone in his office. His office staff even held on to my cell phone until I could pick it up. Thanks everyone!

His staff forced me to pay $950 when I had dual coverage insurance through anthem blue cross, they made their problem of billing my insurance my own problem and I could no longer see the doctor regardless that I had just been diagnosed with epilepsy and needed medication prescribed through them to survive a normal life. I am not an insurance professional so I had no idea what to do or where to start. They took what they could get from me and sent me packing. My mother had similar issues with them. Thanks Dr. He also always had some excuse to not be in the office. No one cares. I have never in my life been treated the way I was treated by Dr. Mehdi. After explaining that 1.) my previous neurology office had ceased to exist, leaving me without care and 2.) my psychiatrist had asked me to talk with a neurologist about the risk of ADHD medications being taken by someone with epilepsy, he repeatedly asked me, “Why are you here?”; told me, “I can’t help you with that”; told me, “That’s not important, stop talking about that”. etc. And the worst part? He had the audacity to tell me that my temporal focal seizures are not seizures, before I could even list my symptoms, which are textbook for focal seizures occurring in the temporal region of the brain. He said, verbatim, “They aren’t seizures. You may think they are, but they aren’t.” No, Dr. Mehdi. They are, and they have been validated by two neurologists, my PCP, therapist, and psychiatrist as being debilitating, exhausting, terrifying epileptic events that cause so much stress, nausea, and fear, I am left winded for sometimes 24 hours after having them. I cried in the car after leaving my appointment yesterday. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone and would give 0 stars if I could. The worst doctor. He records visits but hardly allows you to speak. So quick to prescribe without discussing how I am feeling since I am the one with the disease and experiencing daily symptoms. I can't believe my PCP referred me to him, I did my research and moved the following day to UCSF Neurology.

Dr. Medhi has kept me on track for the longest time by any neurologist I’ve been seeing ever & I am truly thankful to him but unfortunately once he had a change with his front staff everything has been out of control, chaotic super unorganized. All she can say is “I don’t know”, “let me check”, “I don’t know what to tell you” or she just sit there and gossips with the fake blonde gal that likes to know what’s going on and looks like a gossiper and is more worried about the chisme. She is so inexperienced and unprofessional that she places you on hold that she hangs up the calls too. The wait time has always been horrible and even with a scheduled appointment. I recently had a tele-visit scheduled but dr never called me I ask if he was behind or if I needed to reschedule they claim he was behind and assured he would called but he never did. I assumed they never notify him that I was scheduled or that I was calling the office waiting for him to call via e-mail like the front staff clerk said she would. I waited for a 1:45pm appointment tele-visit appointment until 4:30pm which he never called me that she scheduled me out until the week I will maybe return to work. The office manager is the worse she is so rude & lacks customer service. She looks so unhappy. She had no phone etiquette and always forgets to notify doctor of any paperwork that may need to be filled out. (Ex; I had employer paperwork that needed to be filled out the front desk clerk charge me the fee I let her know I my employer gave me a deadline but it still hasn’t been fill out.) Sadly if Dr it’s notify of what happens he can’t correct or make changes Dr. Medhi has kept me on track for the longest time by any neurologist I’ve been seeing ever & I am truly thankful to him but unfortunately once he had a change with his front staff everything has been out of control, chaotic super … More

I would give zero stars if I could. I like to think that I'm pretty patient. But this doctor pushed me to my limits. I was a lot younger than the patients waiting that day. I went through a lot with several seizures leading to many strokes a major one at that it nearly took mine and unborn daughter's life at the time when I was 2 months pregnant. Long story short I was referred to him because I was having terrible headaches and seizures while asleep. After waiting a long time in his office (I didn't mind I was used to long waits at drs. Offices). It was my turn to be seen. He seemed quite annoyed with me and it was our first meeting. He asked about my medical history and I told him the best I could remember. Most of my health issues I was unconscious or sedated and couldn't remember. This man had the nerve to ask me "why are you here?" I said for the reasons I had explained and per my primary care physician's referral. He continued to get more annoyed and seemingly angry? I couldn't help not giving the answers he wanted. I was so frustrated and mad I walked out of there in tears. He was so arrogant and rude! Never will I walk in that office again. I pray that he changes how he treats people. Or maybe I'm extra sensitive but I would never treat anyone the way he did ever. Worst experience I ever had with a doctor. I would give zero stars if I could. Neurologists in the Fresno area are ALL overwhelmed right now so naturally the wait is going to be awhile. Although I usually feel for the receptionist as they have to deal with the multitudes. I was Thankfully able to wait in the car & the staff said they could call me when it was time to go in. I seen the receptionist wiping down the sitting areas to keep it disinfected which I appreciated. Once getting called into a room, I did have to wait (which I do no matter where I go). When doctor came in, I expected him to rush me along as I know he has a lot of patients. After a quick little exam we discussed why I was there. He did say what he said to someone else that my doctor should have run different tests before referring me to him (which seems more out of a frustration of lack of due diligence on the primary's part & resulting in so many clients trying to get into the neurologists.) He was very frank & honest. His demeanor came across as a friend who was gonna be honest with me which I actually prefer but I understand that not everybody would (hence the lack of a star). He took the time to answer all of my questions & even pulled things up on the computer for me to visually see & understand. When he didn't know the cause of things he was honest to say, we (the medical community) don't know why these things happen, it doesn't mean that your pain isn't real but there's a lot that we don't fully understand. He can try to sell you on a possible cause but doesn't. I appreciated his candor, his honesty & taking the time to answer every question I had. Dr. Mehdi's expertise gave my father's ability to walk back to him. After 6 months of seeing 3 other neurologists, multiple doctors in other fields and countless scans we found Dr. Mehdi. He was able to diagnose my father quickly and start treatment as soon as we found an agency who could do it. Within 2 months of my fathers treatment start date, he was walking with the help of a walker and cane, and within 3 months he was walking unaided. This doctor and his staff are the rudest, most uncaring, unprofessional, incompetent, self-inflated medical office I've ever dealt with. Dr Mehdi yelled at my son on several occasions, drew diagrams on paper in an impatient manner and treating my son as if he were beneath him and it was burdensome. His staff is not any better. After 2 weeks of asking them to send some papers to the primary doctor, my son finally had to go in and pick them up. AND they charged him $20 to do it!!! Also, the wait times are ridiculous!!

Do NOT go to this doctor if you have the option to choose. This man was very rude, arrogant, and short tempered with my mother when I took her in for an appointment. First of all he was almost 2 hours late to our appointment when we were the first appointment of the day. When he finally does show up he walks into the room and has a bad attitude from the start and does not even introduce himself to us. He would ask my mother medical questions and then cut her off saying “ok that’s enough/That’s not important/That doesn’t matter.” Like I said very rude and arrogant was his whole attitude throughout our visit. Towards the end of the visit he got so annoyed with me having to translate for my mother (because she spoke Spanish) that he got up, said to schedule the next appointment in the front desk and was done talking. He then stormed out of the room with his hands in the air like he was so over it. It was so frustrating to sit through that and there was mostly elderly people there that I just know he takes advantage of by acting that way towards them knowing that they can’t defend themselves. *UPDATE* The next two visits here after the initial visit were a much better experience and more professional. I went to Dr. Mehdi with a serious and terrifying condition. From the first visit I felt that I was in good hands. Every visit he approaches me with care and compassion and is very detailed with his work. Personally and professionally I have found Dr Mehdi to be a thorough, patient, thoughtful, compassionate, brilliant man. I'm sure he studied VERY hard, as well as the high cost, and sacrifice of time and energy, to become an expert Neurologist. Why then, would he ALLOW such sloppy, tired looking, unprofessional office staff? After several visits with my father, it became evident that they weren't just having a bad day We endured, trash TV programming, staff conversations, and work areas. ;-(

Dr. Mehdi's office schedules appointments for when he is not in the office and not likely to be in the office for quite a while. I've taken my mother to him several times, and we have never had less than an hour wait, often almost 2 hours. Once he finally gets in, the amount of time he spends with patients is minimal. I've asked to speak with him separately from my mother (Alzheimer's) several times and have never had that opportunity.
