He used to be a good doctor. Took time to listen. How else can you treat a patient? I was sick three weeks before my appointment. He could not fit me in so I went to immediate care. They took care of me. I was looking forward to talking to the Dr. Ahmad so he would know how I wasn’t breathing well. I also had to have a form filled out which required a test. I didn’t get the test?? He said he would take care of the form. As far as the breathing he said there were only the two medicines I was taking for COPD. That’s not entirely true. He could have ordered a rescue medicine so I could function better when I needed it. Ofcourse he didn’t seem to want to here my story. So how would he know what I might need. Immediate care did more for me than he did and they didn’t even know me. So am I left to die in my sleep or in the grocery store. Don’t think he gives a damn. After all these years I guess I’ll be looking for another doctor. So sad.

Dr. Ahmad has been my doctor for 14 years. He was able to diagnose a lung disease that I got from being in a school with mold in Elgin. Other doctors had no idea why I was always ill. He started me on the right treatment for my lungs. I was finally able to have periods of wellness for the first time in after being severely ill for 5 years. He is patient, positive, and always listens to what my symptoms and concerns are. I feel he is an excellent doctor.

It’s disappointing that someone who is supposed to be educated and a doctor of medicine can be so rude, uncaring and have no ethics or professionalism, and no compassion for his patients or their family. Horrible experience. First of all the receptionist was rude and upset that we arrived 15 min before our appointment. When we saw the doctor he asked us why we were there. We tried to explain and he would interrupt saying things like, don’t tell me about the past. Tell me something I don’t know. And when he asked he demanded answers in a condescending way. He would ask a question and when we answered he would say I know that already. He checked her breathing asked her age and when we told him he coldly said, at that age there isn’t much to do. Just keep her medicine and you can go. We couldn’t ask questions about the patients diet or about other ways to make her better. We were rushed out of there like he was just eager to make the consultation money and nothing or no one else mattered.

My recent experience with the Doctor is that he is not personable when quickly going through a first time meeting to review the reason I visited the Clinic, The questions he asked me were the same questions I answered on the 7 pages upon entering for a first time patient. He did not review any of the papers I completed. This sessions was about getting a patient in and out for The first time interview was short and he prescribed a drug for treatment and asked that I come back after 6 weeks.

Dr. Ahmad has been very thorough and professional on every visit. He appears to care about my issue and resolving it along with the anxiety around it.
