I’ve had many, many surgeries and this was by far the easiest. Dr Hurwitz was compassionate and transparent with every step. I will recommend him to everyone. Five stars for him and his staff. Thank you so much. I experienced immediate relief!

Our daughter had surgery on her lower arm/wrist area by Dr Hurwitz. He was very detailed in explaining the process that would happen on surgery day and everything went as planned! She has healed beautifully.

Because those stars are not high enough. I had an awesome experience start to finish—“awesome” meaning that Dr. Hurtwitz and his staff were clear, kind, patient and willing to explain things. Most importantly, he got my wrist back to how it was.

Horrible doctor, he gives very little pain pills and expects you to be in pain.

I was referred to Dr. Hurwitz to remove a melanoma and received excellent care from him and all of the staff at Mercy. The entire experience was positive, from the front desk to the amazing nurses, everyone was caring and great at their professions. I was not looking forward to this experience and I am still healing but I’m so glad I was in the hands of Dr. Hurwitz and his staff. For 35 years I've enjoyed bodybuilding but unfortunately it has taken a toll on me. For the last two years I woke between 2:30 and 3:30 AM with both arms on fire due to severe cubital and carpal tunnel nerve impingement. My neurosurgeon recommended Dr. Hurwitz so I booked an appointment. He was courteous, concise and made an accurate diagnosis within 15 minutes; I did not feel rushed! Had surgery seven weeks ago on my right hand and elbow followed by the left arm a week ago and all I can say is I forgot what it was like not to have constant, burning pain. I am the world's worst patient (my father was a surgeon) but Dr. Hurwitz was brilliant at handling my anxieties and I have NO peripheral neuropathy in either arm. Was prepared for 50% reduction in symptoms completely blown away by what I would consider 100% success. There were some "glitches" with the Mercy staff but when I mentioned my concerns to Dr.Hurwitz everything had been corrected by my second surgery and I've received two thank you notes from the support team. Dr. Hurwitz is one of the best I have ever been too. The visits are not long. The staff is very friendly and professional. The offices are immaculate. I've had a double surgery in one visit so far. When I woke up he was right there. As I was very nervous not to have my husband there when I woke up. My recovery from surgery is amazing compared to previous surgeries I've had. Dr. Hurwitz, what can I say. He is a phenomenal doctor and surgeon! From the first appointment to now post surgery and post op appointments. Hurwitz has listened to every concern and helped me understand every thing that was going to happen before surgery and after surgery. His bed side manner has been the best I have ever received. Everything I asked of him, he did an more during surgery. Hurwitz is such a caring doctor. Before surgery at my very first appointment, he told me that it was a no for now for the surgery I needed because I was in the middle of loosing weight. He said, come back to me in 6 months when you hit your goal and we will get this approved by insurance and get surgery done. Hurwitz is extremely encouraging, it made me work much harder to loose the weight. I came back 6 ish months later, lost more weight than expected (which he was happy about). So the process started. Its been a great journey, and all my incision lines are so small. He really did amazing work. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Hurwitz. Dr. Hurwitz, what can I say. I have never seen a Doctor with so much compassion and who listens. He is very knowledgeable and explains procedures. I would never consider and other plastic surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Hurwitz was NOT good. I had a middle finger causing a great deal of pain. He barely examined it and didn't order an MRI or anything further. Said it was probably arthritis and just blew me off. I tried to tell him it wasn't arthritis and he just tuned me out. I saw another hand surgeon a few weeks later and he found a torn tendon the entire length of my finger and he was surprised I had tolerated the pain for so long. I first met Dr Herwitz when I was referred to him for my very painful carpal tunnel. He was very professional, kind and focused on getting me back to where I was. I am happy to say...he achieved that! As we were discussing my issue in the beginning, I had also told him I had 2 trigger fingers on one of my hands. Dr. Hurwitz is amazing. He took time to explain my injury and addressed any and all questions thoroughly. He also called me twice after my appointment. He is extremely knowledgeable yet makes things easy to understand. He truly wanted what's best for me and if there was a 6 star option, that's what I would rate him.
