Very thorough and patient!

Dr Kwan always shows exceptional care for patients especially myself. I’m 70 and have never had a Dr that shows such concern for her patients in my life up and until now. If she were running for President she would get my vote and I’m sure she would do better than the one we have now. She calls me at all different times to address my problems especially with prescription problems. She always takes the time to review my labs and isn’t afraid to tell me I need to do better. She has my deepest gratitude and Thankfulness and I want to thank Straub for having not only great Doctors like Dr Kwan and great personnel and facilities. My wife and love you Dr Kwan.

I want to thank Dr Kwan for her excellent care given to my Mother, Betty Fo, for many years at the Hawaii Kai Straub Clinic. It has been 5+ years since Mom's last visit to Dr Kwan but want to commend her on providing the best care possible. Betty Fo recently passed at 99 years young thanks in part to Dr. Kwan. Good advisor, terrible listener. She would not believe my concern that an antiviral medication she prescribed gave me acute renal failure. Only after 3 calls about symptoms: extreme pain on both sides of lower back, failure to urinate, bloating, intense smell of ammonia did she put an order for a blood test. The test confirmed that I had renal failure. She said the pain I felt on both sides of my lower back was muscle spasms. She said the ammonia I kept smelling was from dehydration.

I am Dr. Kwan's patient for 10 yrs . Dr is very dedicated, efficient and extremely thorough. She also sees my wife and we are both very satisfied with Dr. Kwan being our Primary care provider. The staff are very friendly and easy to be on a first name basis with. I rely very highly on her instincts and judgment and Doctor also takes in my wants and desires; such as exercising over meds or diet over pills, which she monitors closely and re-addresses with success or failures. Office is clean.
