I would give less than 1 star but the review comment system will not allow. I wont even go into detail because I see from previous negative reviews the owner gives the same copy and paste reply every bad review. She is the most unprofessional, dismissive, condescending and rude doctor I have ever seen. I will be taking the necessary steps to report Dr. Thomas to the highest level possible because it is sad that she continues to be able to treat patients so poorly. I will never recommend this doctor or St John in general if they condone practices such as hers.

Dr. Thomas is amazing but her staff is not

Awful. This is the second time she’s ignored my sons concerns and just gave him a pamphlet. She was rude, dismissive and by taking one look at him told him he “isn’t healthy”. We will be going to a different dr. How is she practicing? Also, she made a stressful situation way worse.

I just moved to Oklahoma and went to see her as a new patient. I brought 20+ years of medical records with me. I had called in advance to make sure she could manage my health and prescriptions and was told she could. Instead of looking at my records or even talking to me she said she would not continue my prescriptions (for mental health) and would “wean” me off of them instead. I’m in shock. I would not recommend her to anyone. She doesn’t listen. She makes abrupt, unprofessional decisions that could make me spiral and end up in a crisis center which happened a couple of decades ago. She wouldn’t refer me to another doctor or psychiatrist. If you need to be on meds for depression and a supportive medical doctor do not go to her.this is the most shocking experience I’ve ever encountered with a doctor. My mother was trying to schedule an emergency appointment for her face swelling up. She was told that the doctor doesn't see sick patients. Then they referred my mother to urgent care or the ER. Dr Thomas said my disease was beyond her, which was fine, but I specifically told her I didn't want her to treat it, I needed a dr for common things like the flu. She shut down, offered to schedule a physical, but refused literally anything else. Didn't even get my flu shot.

Although her office staff was very kind and helpful, I can’t say the same for dr Thomas. Not only did she continue to call my husband by the wrong name after being corrected several times she was very patronizing during the visit and refused to help with the situation. Dr. Thomas is wonderful. She has helped me tremendously with my migraines and depression. Every time that I have seen her, she has been warm and helpful. Always pleasant. And her nurse,Brittany is fantastic too! Friendly and returns calls or messages quickly!

I needed my prescriptions refilled and she doesn’t prescribe one of them. Needed steroid shot in each knee, she doesn’t do that either. Absolutely no help and not sure why she’s a Dr.

It was my first visit with Dr. Thomas. So far, so good.

If I could leave a negative star I would. I went to the doctor for extreme pain in my right shoulder and swelling in my right knee. I waited an hour for her to come in the room, she did not look at or touch my knee at all, prescribed some muscle relaxers and told me to come back in 2 weeks. I have no mobility in my right arm above my waist or behind my back. My shoulder locks. She did nothing. She said my A1C looked great even though it has risen an entire point in the past year. She discussed no medications to treat diabetes or to do anything to stabilize my blood sugar (not even food.) I asked for lab work and she said I would have to schedule a PAP with her to get my labs next month. This is ridiculous! I was so angry when I left I cried. Now I am in pain and have wasted half a day. I cannot believe she is even called a doctor or got paid from MY INSURANCE for that appointment! I have never had such treatment in my life. I thought my experience was pleasant . My physician, Dr Thomas is truly concerned with my health. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

The worst doctor ever. She didn't listen to a single word I said. It is scary that there are doctors like her. Doctors like Dr. Thomas are the reason so many people go untreated and unmedicated for serious things. She dismisses you instead of listening to you. She is a threat to her patients. I will be switching doctors.

I had been a patient of Dr. Thomas for almost 3 years and I made an appointment online to see her. When she came in, the first thing she said was “who sent you here” she proceeded to imply that I was medication shopping. She and her staff continued to say that I was a new pt, even though I was seen there last April. I had been dealing with lower back pain for 3 mths plus when finally made an appt to have it checked out. I never expected medication without a diagnosis and I wouldn’t have taken it if she had offered. I hate medication and use it as a last resort. I just wanted to find out what is causing the pain. She mentioned at least 3 times that she doesn’t like to give medication. She interrupted me every chance she got. She also asked me who else I had seen for this issue twice. She did order and X-ray but other than that it was a terrible experience. I will never waste my time with her again. That was the rudest most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. If you are looking for a caring competent PCP go elsewhere. My blood pressure was 130/74 which is great for me. But she put me on medication because I have hypertension. Did not review my medications although I read in my notes she did. She is more concerned with her outfits than treating her patients. Never does she address my issues which are many. Came in the room and stood at the door. I will not be going back nor would I ever recommend her to anyone. She needs some line of work that doesn’t put her in contact with people. Highly disappointed. If I could give no stars I would. Dr Thomas was not helpful at all. I came in pain and left in pain. She did not listen to anything I was trying to explain. She finished my sentences before I was done talking. At the end of everything she rushed me out the room. She recommended I find a new job and sent me home with a printed out copy of back stretches for my back pain. I had to ask for a x-ray and ask for some type of muscle relaxer to cope through the pain. It was definitely A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. The office was clean, the front desk lady was nice as well as Dr Thomas nurse but if I wanted to Google some stretches I could have stayed home saved my money, my time, and did it myself. I will admit the reviews had me extremely nervous and I almost canceled my appointment. I'm so glad that I didnt. Dr. Thomas was warm, patient, and listened to my concerns. She started me on several different meds to help with my issues and scheduled some lab work. She isn't a fan of Benzos..so if you're looking for that...she's not for you. But if you want someone who will listen...make an appointment. She was really kind. This doctor needs to retire her heart is too dark, her energy is very cold and as if you are beneath her. She wants to dominate the converstaion there is no patient and doctor relationship she speaks and you listen. It is difficult to express the way I have been treated by this physician over the course of 8 years. When I began as a patient at this OMNI medical office, I saw Dr. Roman. She was a skilled listener, a compassionate person with impeccable bedside manner. She might only spend a few minutes with me, but it always felt longer, I always felt heard and cared for as a patient. When Dr. Roman left to practice with vulnerable communities, I began seeing Dr. Thomas. I am not sure why I endured 8 years of her "care". She consistently makes assumptions instead of asking questions, rarely ever listens to what you are saying as her patient. I go to the doctor for their expertise and care. I know I am not a physician, but I have lived in my body for my entire life and know it well. It seems reasonable that a doctor would ask their patient about their symptoms, history, etc. This is what I've experienced with every other doctor I've seen. But not Dr. Thomas. When I've gone to her with a chronic condition that I've been treated for throughout my life, she ignores me and assumes I don't know what I'm talking about and treats me for something different. Once I disclosed I was really struggling with stress, anxiety, and depression due to a recent break up and painful and frightening experiences I had experienced at my workplace (some one was stabbed in front of me). I clearly listed for her the things I was doing to care for myself; daily yoga practice, drinking lots of water, seeking counseling, eating healthy balanced meals, and getting lots of sleep. I discussed how yoga was helping me manage but I was concerned with my emotional/mental state and curious about trying medication. Dr. Thomas was not looking at me at all during this conversation, but typing on her computer. When I became silent she looked at me and said, "right, you should try doing yoga and drinking water." I've often wished i had a camera to record how she has talked to me. During a recent pelvic exam, she asked me to lie back on the table with my legs in the stirrups while she was typing on her computer and prepping the room for my exam. Needless to say I felt very uncomfortable, and I can't imagine if she does this to those with sexual trauma how they might feel. There were other things said and done during this visit that I do not feel comfortable sharing here, but are concerning. There is nothing best practice about her practice of medicine. After this last visit, I have made the decision to switch to a different primary care physician. I felt it was necessary to leave a review in the event someone was considering switching to her practice. If you are looking for quality care, it is not with her. I will say that if you can see her PA, Rebecca, you will get wonderful treatment! Seeing Rebecca between my visits with Dr. Thomas is part of what kept me in this office as a patient for as long as I did. See her as often as you can. Dr Thomas has been my primary care doctor for about 3 or 4 years now. I've been generally healthy but occasionally have had seasonal illnesses like flu or allergy related. In those times, I have had no trouble getting in to see the doctor the same day. The doctor is direct and straight to the point, which I appreciate. I feel like my time is valuable and she seems to treat my time like it also. I have read some of the other complaints and reviews about Dr. Thomas and I think its partially a preference difference. Personally, I like that I can get in to see her or a PA the same day. And i don't mind her bedside manner. I wouldn't say she is rude, i would say that she is expeditious. In my experience she has been prompt, no chit-chat or small talk and that's important to me - I'm not there to chat with a buddy but to get some medical expertise and she hasn't failed to meet those expectations. My daughter is her patient.... this doctor has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. Career change.... work in the lab where there is no contact with people.

If I could give this lady a zero, I would. My mom is her patient of hers and is in the hospital with pneumonia. She asked my mom when she wanted to go home, instead of looking at her vitals and her current health. She is the absolute worst!

Don't make an appointment close to the time the office closes. She was so ready to get off work, she didn't take the time to listen. She doesn't seem to care, and she isn't knowledgeable about the appropriate kind of patient referrals. I will not return to this office.

If you have the choice to get a different doctor, take it. Dr. Thomas is one of the most rude, impatient, and incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She consistently downplayed my issues and refused to believe symptoms I was describing. She put me on about 3 different highly restrictive diets to help with my stomach pain, but of course none of them worked. Dr. Thomas has a terrible bedside manner and is often dismissive of patients concerns. I went to get a pelvic exam from her, and was led to believe by her, a receptionist, and a nurse that I would be receiving a pelvic exam. On the day of my appointment (after waiting for half an hour in her office) I was given a pap test and nothing else. The nurse laid out equipment that Dr. Thomas didn't even touch. The pap test was unbelievably painful, I actually almost cried. I told her I was in pain, but she ignored me and said it was just pressure... right. She will never believe you if you say you are in pain. She also referred me to a gynecologist to get the exam I paid her to do, and tried to refer me to a plastic surgeon to conduct a mammogram. She also only examined one of my breasts during the breast exam. TL;DR, if you have an appointment with this doctor, I highly suggest you reschedule. Will order extra lab work after you have already paid up front for lab work causing you to be billed later for full price (because if you pay up front you get a discount)leaving you with $100's of dollars in bills you never expected! And possibly never needed!

My previous Dr retired. So I picked Yvan Thomas because she is Vietnamese as well as I am, to make it easier to communicate. She is the worst !! Absolutely the worst. She emitted a very bad aura. She was not friendly. Made you feel like you were seeking drugs. Didn’t go over your med list, didn’t check your vitals. Totally changed my prescription without my knowledge or discussing it with me.
