Dr. Rekhtman is amazing. My daughter has been suffering for over 2 years with her stomach and was the tiniest little thing at 13 years old. We moved to Columbia and had to see get a new doctor. When Dr. R laid eyes on my baby she immediately went into a small panic because my daughter looked so sick. She was admitted to the hospital under the care of Dr. R and the Peds GI and within her one week stay, she showed tremendous improve. We are going on 3 months under her care and my daughter has gained over 30 pounds, finally making a mark on the growth chart for her age. She doesn't complain of any pain or discomfort. She's a whole new kid! Dr. R was very attentive and we appreciate most her call to action recognizing we had been struggling the last couple years. She is very reassuring and extremely smart. My daughter absolutely loves her! Dr. R has been the best thing to happen to us!

Make the drive to MUSC in Charleston. I've never experienced a provider act so dismissive to a parent and blatantly rude. I went along as support due to the parent being nervous about appointment. She was unaware of the restrictions some familys have to early intervention services specifically feeding within certain areas in Columbia. When she was informed of this she was extremely rude. Dr. Rekhtman did not put this mother at ease nor did she help solve the problem. When asked for alternatives or resources she was rude.

Very matter of fact and to the point. Answers all questions. Offers good suggestions.

This doctor curses like a sailor when she supposed to be working with children. She's not as smart as she think she is either. Looks a lot older than she is too, apparently.

Dr. Rekhtman performed 2 unnecessary procedures on my son, that in hindsight I should have pushed back against. I was in search of relief for my child and I thank God he is okay, she is very smart and pleasant but please question if procedures are necessary.

Dr. Rekhtman is absolutely wonderful. After my son was not making any progress on a former treatment plan, Dr. Rekhtman jumped right in and formed a treatment plan that made my baby gain weight for the first time in six months! He gained over a pound in a month under her care and had less reflux, pain, and diarrhea. Dr. Rekhtman really took time to listen to my concerns as a parent and truly cared about my son. She went above and beyond and I would absolutely recommend her for pediatric GI needs

Dr. Rekhtman didnt bother to examine my infant son. She simply implied that i was only there to receive prescription Formula. She didn't bother to run tests to confirm that my son still had blood in his stool before she went changing his formula. She also offended me by asking if i was on WIC when i clearly wrote my private insurance information on the form that she appeared to have read over...i was not impressed with Dr. Rekhtman and I will be getting a new referral for a different physician
