I had excruciating back and sciatic pain until I saw Dr. Lin in 2019. After seeing several other doctors and wasted weeks of PT, he knew immediately what was the problem. He recommended a cuadal epidural injection, performed it flawlessly and I've been PAIN FREE ever since. The man is a magician! If you are losing hope, go see him.

I have been seeing Dr. Lin since Jan 2014. He has provided me with excellent and consistent care. I have acute stenosis and herniation disc issues. I am very Fortunate to have him as my Pain Doctor. Under his care, I have had MRIs to make sure all he does is as effective as it can be. It has been comforting to know that he continues to address my spine and disc issues. I would be very lost without him. He is very compassionate and is a wonderful Doctor who truly cares about me and my pain and discomfort. I am not sure how I would have been able to endure without him. He listens to me and considers all options to give me a decent quality of life. He works hard to give me hope going forward: I believe all of this is due to the depth of his knowledge. What he has given me over the last 5 years motivates me to share my personal story. My relationship with him has grown and I am a long term patient of his. As his patient I can't say enough good things about him. Thank you Dr. Lin." I have been seeing Dr. Lin since Jan 2014. Not a very good doctor if you want someone for a chronic problem. He doesn’t listen, is not patient, kind of rude. Had no interest in getting your full medical history nor spends more than 5 minutes at a follow up appointment. For acute problems he is fine. There is a reason why there isn’t much of a wait time to see him.

I have been a patient off and on for 20 years. He is always caring and comprehensive in his communication. Without Dr Lin my pain would be intolerable. Thanks to him I have a functional life.

Well-Trained, Knowledgeable about his field of medicine (Pain Management) yes. Is he a good physician?, Is he a good clinician?, Does he explain things thoroughly to the patient? Does he have a good bedside manner? Does he show signs of being truly invested in the well-being of his patients? Unfortunately the answer to the second set of questions is NO. Dr. Lin has a horrible attitude...yelling at patients in the exam rooms when his staff is in the wrong, refusing to refill addictive pain medication out of spite, being completely unresponsive when on call, stating routinely that he is "Too Busy" to speak to his patients on the phone...no matter what the situation. Pain Management Doctors are anesthesiologists with additional training in Pain Medicine. In the case of Dr. Lin, it probably would have been best for him to stay in anesthesiology where he has very little patient contact, because he is possibly one of THE WORST doctors out there. Good training does mean a good Doctor!

I saw doctor Lin many times in 2016 for severe back pain and sciatica. He poked me with needles numerous times, but never truly tried to figure out where my pain was coming from. Dr Lin barely checked in with me before and after procedures and ultimately, I felt he was just putting Band-Aids (literally and figuratively) on the issue and asked to switch to another doctor in the group. When I finally did, the new doctor immediately recognized I was suffering from a rheumatological disease that was undiagnosed. After being severely ill for the past year (hospitalized 6 or 7 times in 6 months), I was referred to see a different pain management doctor who wasn't part of a private group and was just part of Cedars Sinai. First of all, my new doctor told me that Dr. Lin's treatment was "all over the place." He was injecting me on numerous levels and that couldn't possibly have provided relief because there wasn't enough medication injected. Instead, it was a small amount in multiple locations. It didn't help me diagnostically and it didn't help me symptomatically! Then, he referred me to get an MRI since I hadn't had one in years. Turns out, I have a cyst in my spine that went undiagnosed for years - with no help from Dr. Lin. I'm giving him 2 stars instead of 1 because he still safely performed the procedures on me, he just didn't help me figure out what was actually going on. Very cold bedside manner. I have a complicated condition and once Dr. Lin felt he had helped me enough, he became very abrupt and rude. It took him 3 months to fill out a fill-in-the-blank paragraph for my insurance company. He is never able to speak to me directly, but has his assistant, Mirna, deal with most matters. While Mirna is very sweet, she is not great at communicating with patients and often forgets things.
