Disgusting office. From the staff to how the building looks, everything is awful. They had the wrong number In their system because of an office mistake and didn’t care to even apologize. Changing from this place asap!

My baby had his 1st appointment here and everything went well. They gave me my son’s 2 months appointment the same day. Today is my baby’s 2 months appointment. When I got here they gave me a questionnaire. One of the questions ask if I had taken a covid19 test. I informed them that I had 2 negative covid19 test results. I also let them know that in order for someone to be admitted at Kennestone hospital, everyone needed a covid19 test. They asked me to reschedule my appointment because they need the result. I drove 30 minutes from Dallas to get here. They could have told me about their new covid19 protocol before I got here. I wasn’t given an option to let my doctor’s office fax or email my result. And they didn’t ask if I had access to the result because I have access to my result on my patients portal. They asked me to reschedule as if my time is not valuable and I’m nothing. All the front desk staff members were extremely rude. Save yourself the hassle of not taking your child to this Dr’s office because they are unprofessional, disrespectful, and they don’t care about people. I have been taking my son to this office since he was born and 9 years ago the Dr was good he hasn't been great in awhile I feel like we are always diagnosed with the common cold or whatever is going around and sent on our way.I feel like the Dr always treated me like a overly concerned first time mom and often disregarded my concerns. Office staff has been horrible for the last five years but the Dr was good for referrals so we kept going for our wellness exams until Friday when I fired them because I made his appointment last month for Friday we get there I call them to ask about covid protocol and I'm told your son doesn't have a appointment today and we can't fit him in whoever made my son's appointment didn't put it in so we took time off work for no reason. Now I am looking for a new pediatrician because I will not go back. No reflection of the doctor. The front office staff need to take a class on customer service. It is extremely rude to answer a phone call and IMMEDIATELY place the caller on hold without knowing if the call is urgent or not. You ask “can you hold please?”, wait for a response, then thank them for allowing you to place them on hold. If i could give no stars i would! my child has been sick for two months when i took her to him he kept putting her on amoxicillin, i kept going to different emergency rooms and was told she developed asthma , took her to Scottish rite for allergy medicine and a better inhaler .. now here i am currently sitting at St Joseph Hospital where they tell me my child has RSV which is highly contagious && Pneumonia && they HIGHLY suggest i change doctors because he should have caught this BS !!! Dr Melamed and his staff are the most incompetent group of individuals I’ve ever had to displeasure of dealing with. They are unprofessional, rude and incapable of effectively completing their jobs. I would not recommend him to anyone seeking directions to the local gas station let alone anyone seeking medical assistance for their child. I don't recommend Dr. Melamed. Horrible experience. Front desk lady always put people on hold I have to call at least 5-10 times to make AN APPOINTMENT! Nurses have attitudes and the doctor tries to fix everything with Tylenol.

When I first went to this doctor I thought he was awesome. They took my son in as soon as I called. They always took him in when he was sick. Getting. Sick appointedment was never an issue. He was always very polite and friendly.. But it wasn't until I was encouraged but a family member to take my son to another doctor because he had had multiple ear infections and we were receiving the same treatment every time. Once I took him to his new doctor I realized the difference in the treatment. For example in Dr. Melamed's office my child's measurements were taken correctly (something I didn't know as a first time mom). Our new doctor suggested that we go to a specialist since my child was 8 months and had had 5 ear infections. He had to have the ear tubes put in. Dr. Melamed seems to try to fix everything with medicine without finding out exactly what the problem is. A friend of mine told me she was going through the same situation with her daughter. It even got to point that the doctor at the E.R. told her her 1 yr. old was given medicine for a child 3 times her age! When I first went to this doctor I thought he was awesome. Always has same day sick appointments and is extremely knowledgeable. We love this office!

Dr. Melamed is an excellent Pediatrician, however, I do agree with the other reviews regarding particular staff members. The nurses are great, however, the two front desk receptionists are not personable at all and does come off as rude.
