Dr. Baber saved my left eye after my retina was detached in 2004. One could not ask for a better retinal surgeon than Dr. Baber.

The best eye Dr. you will ever find. He and his staff are great, friendly but very professional.

Seems to be a great christian doctor, caring, explains , corrected retina tear toward end of 2019

Outstanding staff, and having to have a series of injections in my eye Dr Babar put me at ease, explained as he went and is very caring

Dr Baber and staff met me on a saturday morning to repair a spontaneous retinal tear (3). This prevented a serious surgery and vision loss. Some might have opted to wait, he didnt. My second eye did the same thing 4 weeks later, again they got me right in and again thanks to this highly skilled physician a disaster for me has been averted. I have been seeing him for 3 years and he's a wonderful doctor. He's always got a smile on his face it really friendly and nice and makes you comfortable right away.

I've had a series of visits, first was an emergency saturday visit where dr baber saving my sight in my left eye by lazering a tear right there in the office. A couple follow up visits then today my right eye had a spontanious retina tear and his staff managed to squeeze me in between other people's appointments. He managed to lazer it thus saving my right eye sight as well. You cant get your retina repaired in an ER and it's time sensitive to say the least. So thank you dr baber and staff, I have people depending on me, being able to see helps me take care of others. And to those complaing they waited an hour for their appointment, well they probably had to triage for circumstances like mine. Very unfair of you to criticize without knowing all the facts. These people saved my vision or at very least prevented it from getting much worse. Think your upset now, wait and see what socialized medicine will do for you.

Never saw the Dr. 1 hour wait , they called back 4 people that came in after me, so I left.. Dont need that type Dr!

He did retina surgery on my husband, never worried Doctor and Techs made us very comfortable. Would recommend to everyone.

Dr. Baber and his crew are incredible! They have gone above and beyond for my husband for the past couple of years. Dr. Baber is so personable and impressively good at his job. No doubt in my mind, being referred to him was a blessing.

While personally he is a good doctor & eye surgeon, punctionality and office staff leave a lot to be desired. Most visits we are there at least 3-4 hours. Even scheduling for 7:00 or 7:15 am appointments they don’t keep on time. Had a 7:15 am appt, didn’t even get called back for pre-screening until after 8:00 am, finally saw the doctor at 8:45! Wish we could go elsewhere, but insurance limits us.

I had been to this office before with a different doctor back in 2009 and had received some very good service. Dr. Baber was someone I hadn't seen before, so I was a bit nervous. There was a bit of a waiting period where an hour passed before I got to see him. But it was okay since the atmosphere around me was very friendly, especially among other patients waiting with me. When I did see him, he was very kind, actually a handsome guy. He apologized for the wait. He gave me very comforting feedback on my diagnoses. I don't understand the other review ratings. My husband has been seeing Dr. Baber for over 2 1/2 yrs. & he has been nothing less than professional, courteous, straight forward & very experienced. Before using him, we had gone to another retina specialist in Tyler. He was quite rude, had to wait a couple hrs., did not appear to have much knowledge about macular degeneration, because I had researched it. He denied that smoking was not part of the cause & would be on shots always. He's only had 3.

Very good Dr. In general. I've been using Dr Baber for a decade. The only issue with him is his punctuality. Every visit takes two hours, minimum!

Terrible with time management. I'm the only person in the waiting room... 30 minutes to be called!! Another 45 minutes after dilation. Called to room... Another 30 minutes waiting. Finally, 10 minutes with Dr Baber.
