About Dr. William J. Waterhouse
Reviews for Dr. William J. Waterhouse
He seemed interested in what my Dad was there to see him about
no bedside manner but who cares - he is a top-notch doctor
Waterhouse and his wife are the most disrespectful medical staff in this town. They are greedy and prefer profits over people. Rather than working with people to help with their balances they encourage people to go even more. The drive to SLC or Denver is much preferable to dealing with these scrooges.
Dr Waterhouse was fantastic. Very personable stayed late without hesitation. Very thorough and complete explanation. Quirky sense of humor
I had 2 retinal detachments (5 years apart) when I lived in Wisconsin. 7 years later (living in Grand Junction) my sclera buckle was beginning to move in my eye. I could see it when I lifted up my eyelid. Needless to say I was a little freaked out. I was sent to Dr. Waterhouse by my eye doctor for a consultation. I can honestly say that I have never had a better doctor in my 65 years than Dr. Waterhouse. Made me feel at ease and comfortable. He was Very knowledgeable and confident. Trusted him completely with the decision to remove buckle. His âbedsideâ manner was wonderful! Best doctor ever! Feel lucky to have him here in the Grand Valley!
Dr. Waterhouse is nothing short of professional, caring and extremely capable! Basically he saved my eyesight when I had a badly torn detached retina...during covid. He immediately performed surgery and my vision is normal again. We in Grand Junction are very very fortunate to have this experienced specialist in our area. His office staff are very careful and quick to help make sure their patients are cared for.
Dr. Waterhouse told my relative she had macular degeneration, she’s going to go blind and she should get used to it. The office staff was also rude and she was overcharged.
Dr. Waterhouse reattached my retina . My sight in that eye is better than 20/20 now.He took me in on an emergency basis and stayed late
Dr. Waterhouse is an excellent eye surgeon. He reattached my retinal tears and his staff does a great job of reminding me of follow-up and check-up appointments. We are lucky to have Dr. Waterhouse in the Grand Valley. The office is quiet, clean and comfortable and wait times are reasonable. To my knowledge, there are no physicians where you don’t have a wait time in the lobby. It goes with the territory as every patient’s needs differ. So accept it and be glad someone can help you. Be patient ;)

Dr. Waterhouse recently performed the repair of a full macular hole for me using a gas bubble technique. The result is fabulous! My sight is better than before. I would totally recommend his surgical skill.
Dr. Waterhouse literally saved my eyesight. He found tiny holes in my retinas that had previously been overlooked by two specialists. He may not be chatty but I'm not there to socialize. I truly appreciate his dedication and professionalism.
He did surgery 5 years ago, lost my sight ,been in pain ever sense Take advice go to a real surgeon
My experience with Dr Waterhouse was exceptional. He is soft spoken and kind. After my exam he took the time to explain everything to me in great detail and took my concerns and questions seriously. His qualifications, experience and knowledge are impeccable.

After reading the review of Dr Waterhouse, I felt I had to leave a review. I read all the reviews and really did not know what to expect. First, my husband and I arrived early and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The office was extremely clean. They took us almost immediately upon filling out the paper work. Dr. Waterhouse was kind, friendly and very thorough. I felt he was compassionate for me and the rigorous exam that was needed. Take other reviews with a grain of salt.
My eye doctor found start of detachment in one eye, recommended Waterhouse. His office scheduled me out 1 week, rather than seeing me right away. The next day detachment increased, so I called. Waterhouse reassured me I could wait. In the next couple days my retina fully detached. 1 month later he did surgery. Can now only see shades of light. Had he responded sooner, things might be different. If you have any signs of detachment, make the drive to Denver or Salt Lake and see real doc.
Dr. Waterhouse is not the doctor you should choose if you need someone to be sympathetic, understanding, and diplomatic. Dr. Waterhouse is the doctor you should choose if you need an excellent surgeon who will save your eyesight. I have a rare form on cancer. Dr. Waterhouse not only reattached my retina, his letter to the other doctors involved resulted in action that helped me get treatment.

This doctor is rude, arrogant and impatient. I had a retinal detachment and he missed it. I'd definitely go somewhere else. He moved here because he is the only one and works out of a bad hospital
Dr. Waterhouse has no bedside manners. Very rude and condescending. Office staff is the most unorganized I've ever seen in the medical profession. Office procedures are antiquated. My optometrist has more sophisticated equipment. He does absolutely know what he's doing but appointments are less than pleasant. Wish we had a choice.
He is rude, arrogant and condescending.
I've been seeing Dr. Waterhouse for over 4 years. He understands my condition (which is rare) and knows exactly how to deal with it. I appreciate his formalness because he has alleviated any fear I started with about getting shots in my eyes. He's quiet, but once you get to know him, he's really nice. He saved my eyesight and I will forever be grateful for that.
Dr. Waterhouse saved my sight, which means my experience was excellent, and from my point of view, miraculous.
