Dr. William J Tsai

I didn’t get to have an appt with Dr Tsai so I cannot speak about him as a doctor. My 1 star review is for this office imposing a $500 annual ‘comprehensive administrative plan’ fee to cover things like; 1) priority scheduling, 2) 24/7 access to office services 3) referrals 4) getting copies of records etc… see photos attached for detailed info. Please understand that all other offices do provide these same services above included with the fee they collect from insurances. I cannot see him for routine wellness exams using my PPO insurance alone if I decline this MANDATORY $500 annual membership fee. So BE AWARE, if you don’t want to pay $500 annually out of pocket (insurance will not reimburse you for this administrative membership fee), seek care elsewhere!!

Absolutely horrid office staff. My wife was in for a referral about a skin infection on her face and can not wear a mask. The front desk person was a complete a$$hole. I spoke with her office manager and SHE was a complete a$$hole as well. “You have to be vaccinated and masked to enter…” So I called, they refused to let me speak with a doctor directly; they are completely rude and unprofessional. We are finding a different doctor in our PPO. If this is whom Dr Tsai employs then his business will fail, and probably why he has such a high turnover rate of doctors and nurses. I’ve been going to Doctor Tsai for many years; he’s an excellent listener, diagnostician, and also really cares about his patients. Today I was at quest labs waiting for a fasting blood draw and realized I forgot my paperwork. Dr Tsai returned my call right away, even while on vacation out of state, and he sent over new lab orders electronically at 8:30 am on New Year’s Eve. That’s dedication! Just really appreciate Dr Tsai and his staff, and wanted to say thanks for everything! Fantastic doctor. Very thorough and diligent with follow up. Listens well and offers solid advice for anything that can be improved. Not rushed and generally on-time with appointments. Also his office staff and NP Tina are very good as well. I feel totally confident in Dr Tsai’s care and his concern for my well-being.

Dr. Tsai is an excellent doctor with a hands on personal approach. He is everything you want in a primary care doctor. He is compassionate, smart and very empathetic. He personally calls me on my cell phone to check up on me and give me his thoughts on my lab results. He has squeezed me in for same day appointments. Very happy

Changed my primary care and choose dr.Tsai based on referral. I'm perfectly healthy and went for my annual checkup. Dr.Tsai was very friendly, easy to approach, took time to explain and helped determine what tests are needed based on my unique situation.

I woke up and couldn’t get out of bed this morning. I barely made it to my chiropractor with the help of my wife for a treatment but still needed pain medication. I called Dr William Tsai, my regular physician and he got back to me almost immediately and called in the prescription for me. He’s been my doctor for many years and I feel he’s the best doctor I ever met. And I’ve met quite a few over the years. I have utter frustration and anger toward this doctor. He dismissed serious issues by flippantly looking at blood work and saying - “I hope you feel better, the markers don’t point to what you’re saying.” Well he was wrong. Very wrong and it’s disturbingly unethical to discount serious claims of chronic issues from a a strong young 24 year old man. I am infuriated. One month wait for what became a momentary visit where desperation was communicated and sloughed off. This resulted in a delay of treatment because of a dismissal of a disability that could end up being literally life altering. Every day counted- and due to this man, months were lost as doubt cast over vital claims and accounts of symptoms. Can’t go back in time. Dr. Tsai was irreversibly irresponsible with a life.

I have been seeing Dr. Tsai for almost 15 years now, I feel bad it took me this long to do a review because he deserves 10 stars, even tho I can only give 5! I agree with all the 5 star reviews... I never do reviews but Dr. Tsai is such a kind, compassionate and caring doctor that he deserves much more than words can describe in this review. He gives you the time and attention you need and truly listens and cares about you. His office is always on point, very clean and staff is very helpful. Getting appointments is quick and easy. Even tho I moved to San Diego area and lost my insurance and was put on Medi-Cal, I still gladly pay cash price which is very reasonable and drive over an hour to see him. Dr. Tsai is a great doctor and his practice is the best I've ever been to. He saved my life. The best GP known to man, period.

Dr Tsai is the rare MD who takes time with you, interviews you himself so you don’t need to fill out a million forms and calls you back himself to discuss test results. Very accessible and compassionate. Highly recommend Dr William Tsai!

Dr. Tsai is a very compassionate doctor who spends time with you and is truly concerned about your health. He is treating me for high blood pressure and doesn't make me wait one to four months after prescribing a different pill. I am so glad I found this doctor.

Great doc, great person.

Dr Tsai is a the best primary care doctor. My husband has chronic medical conditions requiring consultion between several Hoag doctors and City of Hope. Dr Tsai communicates clearly and responds to our calls on the same day. Most importantly, my husband trusts and feels the doctor listens to him! office staff is very responsive to our request for Appts when he is ill. I am grateful we have Dr Tsai on my husband’s medical team

Dr William takes the time to listen to you and thinks through the problem with you and explains the problem in a very articulate manner. Tina is also very helpful and really cares about the patient and makes sure she listens to the issue and takes time to examine your condition thoroughly. Dr. Tsai came to see my mom in the ER and then everyday that she was in the hospital. It was great to see her regular doctor instead of a hospitalist. It made her feel comfortable.

Dr. Tsai is one of the most caring and approachable Doctors I have known and I am delighted that he is my personal physician. I cannot recommend him highly enough,especially if you are tired of being treated like a bother and want to be treated like a valued and important person.

I've been seeing Dr Tsai for a decade now as my GP. He's always been kind, gentle and extremely understanding. He's interested in your health and well being and wants to know about your family. His records are impeccable and he's flexible when meeting your needs. Wonderful man, great Dr. My wife also sees him as her GP and has been with him for over 5 years now. Highly recommend Dr Tsai to people living in the Newport Beach/Irvine/Costa Mesa area and even further if you don't mind a bit of a drive to see your GP.
