Everyone was very welcoming and I was seen quickly for my annual eye exam. Dr. Tanke is very thorough when explaining the photographs of my eyes and what everything means. I highly recommend visiting Dr. Tanke.

Our family used Dr Tanke for years until one day he snaps and starts berating my wife in front of our young daughter and a store full of people. They left in tears with my daughter not understanding why a Healthcare provider yelled at her mother. We haven’t stepped foot back in this Store. The Lens Crafters Manager try to reconcile our business and went so far as offering us feel eyeglasses. The Manager called and related the doctor apologized in the staff meeting. We never heard from the Doctor. We use Dr Gonzales at Lens Crafters in Merritt Island. She is compassionate and excellent with children.

All the staff were attentive and very professional. Doctor Tanke provided lots of information and advice.

Dr. Tanke is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough. He takes the time to fully understand any concerns and answer any questions. He really listens and never rushes the appointment. He sees my whole family and we think he’s just great!

I could not ask for better service, more caring, or more knowledgeable individuals than Dr Tanke and his staff.

I had good experiences with Dr. Cromer previously, but with state-of-the-art devices and her patient, detailed explanations, this visit was great.

Always a pleasure to see Dr. Tanke and everyone at this location. He always takes such great care of our family and especially our son.

A very thorough exam, as always, from a very knowledgable eye doctor. Dr Tanke has a great 'bedside manner' (if eye doctors can be attributed such things!) and he explains absolutely everything that he is testing and shows you on the screen exactly what he is looking for and any potential problems that could arise in the future. Wonderful friendly doctor who certainly seems to know his stuff. Great value as well for a most in depth exam and checkup.

Turns out I have a cataract that is causing the problem; the prescription we ended up with he recommended I do not fill until I see the specialist. Absolutely the best, most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had.

Extremely helpful in accommodating my requirements for glasses. Carol was awesome also.

1st time at LensCrafters & can't say enough about the great service I received, from reception to the eye exam was helpful & patient enough to take time to explain everything to me. Definitely will go back

This was my second eye exam here at Dr. Tanke. My eye exam experience here was great. The entire staff is very friendly I felt my questions are concerns were addressed. Dr. Tanke is amazing I trust him with my eyes.

Best doctor I have ever met with. He explained everything so well, I felt like I was learning the equipment myself! 10/10 would recommend him for anyone looking for an eye doctor.

Dr. Tanke turned a routine eye exam into an opportunity to learn about my eyes and really took the time to explain all the tests and structures of the eye. Thank you to Dr. Tanke and the office staff for maintaining a safe environment and for great bedside manners.

November 2020: It is very disheartening to have good service overshadowed by extremely poor services. I was late to an appointment, which is entirely my fault as I am injured and wasn't able to move quickly enough to be on time for my appointment. However, the disgusting attitude from his tech Gina, was entirely unnecessary. She did not only directly say that she wouldn't even try to get me in to get my eyes examined, but made no effort to reschedule or show any customer care. While I was still standing at the desk she started making outgoing calls. I asked her if she was going to try to get me seen, as I really needed my eyes checked, she simply stated "No." I asked to speak to the doctor, as her attitude was unnecessary. He proceeded to speak about me and how rude I was to the doctor who then came over and said "Well, you should have been on time." Add to this, I took time out of work and was using a doctor outside of my insurance network due to previous experiences, and it was my birthday. When I said thanks for ruining my birthday, Dr. TANKE said "YOU'RE WELCOME" and turned his back to me and walked away. I was in tears at this time. Never again will I go to him, or any Lenscrafters. 2018: Very honest assessment of my eyewear needs! I wasn't upsold a service I couldn't use!!!
