Goldsboro is a place where far too many doctors like Jim Stackhouse are allowed to "practice" on the poor and elderly with devasting and even fatal consequences. He does not refer patients to specialists when they are in dire need of care and he fails to carefully review records. He's in his current role due to local politics, note his current abilities or medical care of patients.
