Reviews for William Geoffrey Scott
I worked for him in Tifton, Ga. They was suppose to be paying into a retirement plan for employees , but did not. The company said they kept the money. Very unprofessional doctor and wife ( office manager).
Laura is awesome - friendly, charming - great staff - I was in and out and ears never felt better!!! Thank you!!!
I've been coming to this office for about 7 years now. Laura is the PA I've always seen. They have taken excellent care of me throughout the years. I really needed to be seen this week as I was in pain. No one has answered in days and I haven't had any of my calls returned. Very frustrating to say the least. I went and found a new doctor. Amazing people fun and friendly and help get things worked out.
Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. They made us wait over 45 min for a 9am appointment and then when i asked what was going on, the girl rolled her eyes and told me she would check... then she yells at me from the window "oh she is behind but will hurry" this was for a post op. Then they measured her ears for plugs but had no plugs to sale me in her size. The surgery was also sketchy. The dr. Barely spoke to me we waited over 2 hours after our arrival times, and my daughter remembered what happened when she went back! She is only 5 and has some ptsd as a result. Remember we live in an area with one of the best children hospitals in the world, Cooks. Choose them, im sorry i didn't. Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. we didnt had a good experience there, all week long we get multiple text messages and phone calls that our app is confirmed and when we reached on our appointment day they said they cant take our insurance, they should check this before, our appointment or should call us before we reach there
This was the worst experience for a surgery. I was in so much pain after surgery that I had to go to the ER. Due to the pain, I was not able to eat or drink anything for 7 days. I had to go back to the ER for a second time to get IV fluids due to dehydration. The doctor didn't seem to care and told me good luck with the ER. Dr Scott is an excellent Dr but his nurse practitioner (the nurse who was from his practice the day of the surgery) has no compassion towards patients. My son had surgery yesterday to remove his tonsils. When I asked her if the office could fax the paperwork to my son's employment she said NO. We have to wait until tomorrow to get the paperwork and then we are going to have to go to a location to fax it. I also asked if Michael could have some prescribed pain medication and she said NO. My son has been taking more over the counter medicine to control the excruciating pain. When you call the office nobody answers.. The people at the facility where he had the surgery were excellent! I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Scott & the staff at North Hills ENT. I had my left thyroid removed with no issues & you can’t see the scar, even shortly after the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Scott to anyone looking for an ENT doctor.

Please note i am not over exaggerating when I give you this review! First time I went I waited a hour in the lobby and 20 more mins in the back. The assists and doctor was nice yet not very informative. Seem as if they want you to keep coming back instead of taking care of everything they can in a single visit. So basically they cleaned out my ears and told me to set another appointment for a hearing test. I came back about two weeks later and waited exactly 2 hours before getting up and walking out. The lady at the front desk claim she was checking on why it was taking so long yet she didn’t move until 20 mins after I asked about the wait. She sat back down without updating me on anything. They are fraudulent and are not worth a good review be careful using them. Their examination is rigged. I was told I was a notch above deaf and when I went home I heard loud and clear when someone spoke to me. Be careful with them. Find someone else

This doctors office assisted me when i required an ENT, the Physician Assistant was awesome the first few visits. After that, treatment has declined with an office visit every week for 6 weeks with the direction to continue using ear drops with no end in site. The last (2) visits had to wait an hour for the appointment, pay the co-pay [not allowed under my medical plan] to see the doctor and a week later no better. In calling in advance today of my appointment, i asked if the doctor was running late and the response: yes, plan to be a bit behind today due to training a new assistant I noted that with all due respect, running behind is not my problem. The person that answered the phone was rude and told me well sir you just have a great day. Totally unprofessional and lacking in medical services and delivering results with an ear infection after 8 weeks. I do not know where to start. This is the worst doctor experience I have ever had in my life. I rarely write reviews but I had to. I was in pain the whole week and I could not get an appointment but when I finally got it was completely waste of my time and money. This is how my appointment went; Doctor: What's the matter Me: I explain my ear pain Doctor: (Without letting me finish checks my first ear). Turn around. (He does not want to wake up from his chair and so I turn and checks my other ear, nose and mouth). I will prescribe you an ear ointment called ..... See you in two weeks. Me: Wait, ( As the doctor is walking out) My ear had discharge and was leaking. My husband could see it oozing out of my ear. Doctor: (Rudely) Is your husband a doctor? Me: No but its something coming out eternally. Doctor: I will prescribe you antibiotics drops (And then he leaves). This was the same antibiotic my general physician had prescribed. The medical assistant and nurses had asked earlier and they typed it in their system.I told them that I was taking the medication and the doctor could have been aware of it. No he does not care at all. I completely wasted my money and time. Please go somewhere else. I do not know where to start. This is the worst doctor experience I have ever had in my life. My husband came here for a chronic sore throat and problems swallowing. First, the strangest thing, they make you pay before even seeing the doctor, never had that happen before. Next, he was sent for tests to which we received no call back and when we called were told that it was our responsibility to reach out to them for results not for them to contact us. After tests and some scoping (incredibly painful) the doctor said, it is all in my husband's head and too bad but nothing is wrong with him physically. He is scheduled to see another ENT who hopefully won't just throw his hands up and tell him it's all in his head as he can hardly eat or talk now. I always believe in reading the reviews and I should’ve checked more thoroughly. I’m a singer and my ear Health is really important to me. First of all, before the appointment even happened, they asked for my payment, which I thought was weird since the full range of treatment would not be known until after the appointment. I was not comfortable with that, and I just should’ve said no. My appointment was at 2:30 PM and I did not actually see the official doctor until 4:50 PM. I had an event that evening and at 4:40 PM I told the receptionist that I needed to leave and finish up the last half of the appointment on a different day, she told me there would be an additional charge if I came back, even though they were responsible. Again, I should’ve just left, but I had already paid and right around that time at 4:50PM the doctor was available. This is actually the worst part. The way that Dr. William Geoffrey treated me, was the worst I’ve ever been treated by a doctor. He kept looking at the other person in the room instead of me when he would address me and then made three or four different demeaning joke style comments at my questions. It was very unprofessional, I didn’t feel like I got my needs met and honestly it felt a bit sexist. I wondered if I was a man his age, if he would’ve treated me as poorly. My regret is that I did not have enough time to take the energy to let him know that this experience was unacceptable. My biggest regret is that I went to this doctor at all. No medicaid as with over half the specialist. It's very hard to find doctors to treat medicaid patients. You would think they would come up with a law that said all private practice must treat a percentage of medicaid Medicare health care with the same opportunity as the rich. Shouldn't be a nightmare to get health care
Went to Dr.scott for sinusitis. He was very professional and his team was really awsome. Sadly i told Dr.scott that i had an allergic reaction to penacilin since i was born. And Dr.scott seemed to have take it into account when he prescribed me cefdinir. Now i had gone to a doctor previous to dr.scott where they prescribed me the same antibiotic and i did have lil to almost no progress on my sinusitis. Dr.scott prescribed me cefdinir for 2 weeks and did NOT disclose any possibility of an allergic reaction to the medicine. Cefdinir is a derivative of penacilin. In a week i collapsed on my job and i was taken ti ER where they could not find the problem. After being stabalized i went home. Later on i visited a trusted doctor that let me know more valuable information about cefdinir and how i should have never taken it given i am allergic to penacilin. The whole time i tried reaching doctor scott and he was away on a family emergency. Never saw or heard from him again instead he pawned me of to the other doctor whom didn't help much just wanted me to come in for a cat scan. Will not recommend him to anyone nor will i return. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY DOCTOR EVER!!! DR. SCOTT WAS VERY RUDE, FORMIDABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I WASTED MY $100 ON AN APPOINTMENT THAT TOOK OVER AN HOUR WITH NO RESULTS OR OUTCOME!!! I WILL BE REPORTING THIS FACILITY ASAP!!!
They have no care to get stuff done. Everything is done with no rush and when its convenient for them. My son needs his tonsils out from their own mouth and we are now going on 3 months of waiting. I would not refer this place!!!
The only good experience I had in this office so far was meeting with the nurse who conducted my sons allergy test. We had an appt for the results of the test at 3:30. We were on time for our appt. We sat in a room for a hour before Dr. Scott came in to see us. When he finally came in at 4:30 unapologetic that he had us sitting there, Imagine my frustration when we were in and out of there in 5 min after he came into the room! I felt this appointment could of been handled quickly and shouldn’t of required a hour wait time. I knew this appt was for results only so I was expecting an in and out visit, which is why I used my “lunch hour” in hopes to make it back to work in time. Had we been seen closer to our time I wouldn’t of been so upset. As patients our time should be valued, I would expect this kinda wait time somewhere else but not in a private office. I was previously so excited to start my own appts with Dr. Scott when I first met him, but after that visit and the lack of compassion in that office I quickly canceled my appointment and will be looking for another ENT. I would suggest that the receptionists/desk clerks present a more attentive helpful manner....they seem to assume patients understand their "routine work" when you check-in, or are surprised when you stand and wait at desk for minutes upon your departure... and for an ear clinic, you think they would also have more awareness and patience for folks with hearing loss, especially in the age of facemasks. However, both appointments were timely and Dr Regan was competent and friendly and I would probably return now that I am more familiar. The first copay visit was investigative, whereupon a need for an MRI was prescribed. So, well done. However, the summary analysis of the MRI was conducted by an unknown doctor, which was annoying but otherwise handled professionally. Thus, my 2nd copay visit was merely a few minutes to summarize this MRI review....there was no evaluation of the MRI by the ENT, which surprised me. HOwever, the intent of my visits was to get medical clearance for the prescription of new hearing aids, so I suppose it isn't fair to complain that I still don't know why my middle ear does not function well., since that is another matter. I guess it is just irksome that the cost of my 2nd ENT visit seemed unnecessary and redundant....I wish that the MRI review process would have been explained beforehand. So, overall, it was a good visit, just not great, but it can improve. We met Dr. Scott once. That was right before our sons procedure at Texas Pediatric Surgery Center. That should have been our red sign. Our son was returned to us very awake, foaming at the mouth, and crying as if he were in pain (not nauseated, in pain). His heart rate also dropped and the nurse walked around clueless as to who’s monitor was beeping. I had to get her attention before she just went back over near her desk since she gave up looking. When we brought up our concern, the anesthesiologist was sent to us and told us, “this happens with ALL children.” This does NOT happen to “all” children. Our 8 year old had the same procedure performed at Cooks (around the same age). He was returned to us very drowsy, with an ice pop and content. I understand that children react to anesthesia differently. However, my child was crying a painful cry while grabbing at his nose and foaming at the mouth. He proceeded to cry about pain for days (we rotated Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain and his fevers). He also had a nail marking in his back, behind his armpit that was not present before his procedure. A big part of me believes that my child was not truly asleep when his procedure was performed and he was held down (hence the nail digging in his back armpit area). He was in so much pain for days (nothing like my 8 year old when he had the same procedure around the same age). I am so disappointed that we chose Dr. Scott and the surgery facility he performs his procedures at. We are supposed to protect our children as much as possible, and I feel like we have let our son down by the pain he went through in Dr. Scott’s care. Our experience was horrible. I'm honestly in shock to read such positive reviews from others because what I received wasn't anywhere close to as great as they did. I felt unimportant, rushed and unheard. There were times were I felt that my chart wasn't even looked at, which worried me. I give two stars not only because of what I've already mentioned, but because of this experience, I was able to find another specialist that could see me that listened to all my concerns and saw my issues for what they were, chronic (not acute as they were called by this doctor) add to that the waiting period it would have taken for me to progress any further and get treatment from this facility and I feel like I'm being very generous with two stars. I honestly feel like things would have went more smoothly and I would have had a more positive experience if I hadn't been rushed through the appointment, if my chart would have been read thoroughly and I would have been treated as if my issues, that I've suffered from my entire life, not just recently, were seen as important. Doctor Geoffrey Scott was very attentive. He took his time and explained everything to where the average person could understand what he was talking about. The staff was very friendly and nice. I would highly recommend them.
Dr. Scott came to my aid as the on-call doctor that received a call from the ER I went to. He made himself available on a Saturday morning (after a 7pm Friday call). He was thoughtful in his approach and saved me after 3 weeks of pain. I left almost in tears not because of the procedure but because of the relief. Thank you!!!
I have been seeing Dr. Scott since February, 2013. He is absolutely the best ENT in the country. He always treats you as a personal best friend type while diagnosing and treating your ENT problems. I highly recommend him to anyone needing an ENT! His staff is very professional and friendly also.

We meet Dr Scott and his team when I was diagnosed with Throat Cancer. Since then he and his team have taken care of all my fears and concerns. None of this is easy but Dr Scott and his team have made it so much easier. From understanding what is next to making sure you understand it’s course and how they were going to treat this Cancer. I have since completed my treatments but still have quite a way to go and they have been there for me. I truely consider them part of my family. I would recommend them to anyone that needs Ear, Nose and Throat issues. We meet Dr Scott and his team when I was diagnosed with Throat Cancer. The receptionist here has a really bad attitude. She was rude and hung up on me, so I found a different ENT with pleasant staff.
I was not happy with the care my husband received. Dr. Scott was very abrupt, no caring, dismissing my concerns and questions. Even after telling us my husband had cancer, no emotion no good luck, nothing.
Dr's here are very professional but the office staff is very disrespectful. As im sitting in the waiting room for my son to be seen, i hear a phone call being made for an appointment. When the office staff hangs up she makes a phone call and starts telling the person on the other side about the call that was made and just starts laughing at the patient. Horrible customer service. People at the front desk have no manners, no organization, and no care for the patients. The doctor(s) needs to be more aware of front office staff, who are making them lose out on money. I booked my daughter's appointment with another doctor, due to the lack of care from the front office. Don't go here.
Saw this doctor because one of my ears has been getting red and hot. He sent me to get bloodwork done. He told me that the blood would only be about 100.00 or so, but I ended up getting a bill for 600.00 from Quest. The blood results came back negative so he wanted to put me on Gabapentin which is ridiculous. Then I get a bill from his office for 233.00. So, I end up having to pay a total of 833.00 for NOTHING. I've been coming to Dr Scott for over a year & every single time The wait is ridiculous. I've told my PCP I don't want to go to Dr Scott anymore but unfortunately he keeps sending me back and says "just one more time for discharge " I hate this office & am seriously thinking about switching PCP (even though I love my PCP) just so they can find me an office who doesn't keep you there for 2.5+ hours I've been coming to Dr Scott for over a year & every single time The wait is ridiculous. Called to make an appointment. The first young woman to answer the phone (Alison?) was very sweet and she transferred me to make an appointment with ENT. The woman who picked up, did not say anything (not even “hello”) and I waited a few seconds and said hello? She was very very rude and short with me. I understand the office closes in less than 15 minutes but talk about awful. Won’t be making an appointment here. Called to make an appointment. Very disappointed with this place took my daughter a month ago here and still haven't scheduled her appointment haven't got a call back an email nothing in the mail nothing when I went to her appointment they called patients ahead of her even though we had arrived before them and said it was because they were current patients and that my daughter was a new patient the only reason why I'm giving a two star is because Dr. Laura was very nice but office staff was very rude. Only came here because our doctors referred us to this place but if you're choosing on your own I would suggest choose otherwise Very disappointed with this place took my daughter a month ago here and still haven't scheduled her appointment haven't got a call back an email nothing in the mail nothing when I went to her appointment they called patients ahead of her … More
Called for my daughter's annual hearing screening and they got us in the very next day. Screening went well and they were very sweet and patient with my 4 year old with a speech disorder. However, they promised to send a copy of her results to her speech therapy company and did not. They (speech therapy) called twice and I called and left 3 different messages last week and we have yet to get a response. I was able to take a picture of my paper copy and send it and hopefully my daughter's services aren't delayed by insurance. I am extremely disappointed. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. The NP I saw was very knowledgeable and made me comfortable throughout the visit. I am happy to have had this encounter! Thank you all!
Great doc and friendly staff. Wait time is frustrating sometimes, but doc is worth the wait. Glad to find him for my son.
Great place. Been taking my son here for 5 years. They have put tubes in, and the process was smooth. Follow up appointments were great and Dr.s are all so comforting and welcoming. Dr. Scott is a great guy and always seems to be a straight-forward guy. Really like this place.

There is no words can describe Dr. William, he understands all my fears and anxiety from my tinnitus and put me on the right path to overcome from it. Thank u and thanks for ur great stuff.
I’ve had wonderful care at NH ENT. From doctor, audiologists and office staff. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Cakhary was wonderful. I haven't had a hearing test since i was a child and sge told me exactly what was going on and kept me informed as i was in the booth and after.
Dr. Scott and his team are the best! Very professional and kind. They are very experienced and always explain everything so that the patient understands exactly what is going on.
Would like to thank MPAS Laura Regan for installing the ear tube in my left ear today. Great relief after the procedure. Very professional, and her assistant was also great. Dr. Regan's pleasant attitude, and excellent demeanor make her and her staff a positive for the NRH ENT. Thank you.
Rachael McGee and Dr. Calchary provided my little girl with excellent care. We came in for hearing test for my daughter and more. The staff was very knowledgeable on their professions. Pleased with the service that was provided. We will be back!
I had a tremendously comfortable visit with the audiologist and medical provider. The are exceptional at their jobs and incredibly professional. They're all very pretty also... They were all most helpful and informative. Thank you so much for your amazing service!
Rachel Mcgee and Dr. Jerrica Tucker were very good and so nice to my son. He felt really comfortable doing his hearing test. I definitely recommend this office and staff. Very professional..clean office..time efficient :)
I had a really bad experience with another ENT telling me I was fine. I came in today and had a ton of questions and Dr. Scott answered every single one and did not hesitate or seem irritated by any of them. I had read the reviews before going in and I honestly don't understand some of them. None of the staff there was rude and I even had a nice lady restocking supplies asking how I was doing. Dr. Kristin Horan and Rachel McGee are both very nice and super sweet. Dr. Horan was so helpful when we were trying to decide if we should get our son a hearing aid or not. Dr. Scott was very thorough and was able to get me back in with the audiologist next, so I pretty much got everything done in one day!!! Dr. Calchary is the absolute best... My original appointment was 9-28-16, at the grand prairie location, and we determined we would do an allergy test the following Thursday, 10-6. My appt was at 130, and received a call around 11, when they left a voice-mail that their testing tech had to leave early. Unfortunately, i didn't listen to the message before i went, so i showed up, and they rescheduled me for the following week. The next week comes, and tthe call me the day before to let me know there won't be a tech the next day for my appointment, can we reschedule again. I say yes, but they have nothing available until November 3rd. I accept a 9am appointment for 11-3. So guess who got a voicemail on 11- 2 at 430pm to reschedule? Yep, me. They just want to move it to the afternoon. 330. Cool. So i call in the morning to confirm 330 on Thursday 11- 3, and guess what. I still don't have an appointment, because now the tech is leaving early. I just cancelled everything, because obviously I'm not important this doctor or staff. To be rescheduled, 3 seperate appointments, over a 6 week time period is unacceptable. I could've found a different doctor WEEKS ago to perform an allergy test, and have repeatedly had to leave my job or ask for days off to accommodate appointments that never happen. The office is quick and get you in for an appointment quick. The surgery day I was very frustrated with the bedside manner. I had read reviews this was an issue. So I was prepared. If you have any questions make sure you ask them in the office. Don't wait to have a conversation with the surgeon cause you wont see him until the day of. The after care nurses were very PUSHY they wanted to get you in and out which is ok, but they let me go before my son had anything to drink or stand up. an hour or two after we were home he still couldn't stand and walk. Hes been under anesthetic before and these are all things they made sure he was capable of before going home. We chose this office because my son was having hard hearing and Cooks couldn't get us in for over half a year for the initial appointment. Its not black listed in my book but if you do have other options defiantly consider them especially with very young children who need that extra time and slow pace.
