Dr. William Van Rice JR.

Got a referral from my doctor.to see Mr.Rice. Called several times, no phone calls were returned. Told acouple times they'd call me back but didn't. Then told they were too backed up to make an appt. I needed to go back to my doctor and have them make me an appt. Made no sense to me. Don't know why I got referred to him. He's too busy to see any new patience. Must be drowning in his own ego and only his time is important. So self absorbed to care about anyone but himself. Called last time today...on hold for ridiculous amount of time. Then wanted my info so a supervisor could return my call to address my complaint-yah, sure not falling for that again.

Dr. William Rice is an excellent clinician and surgeon. He performed the Sleeve gastric surgery on me in Jan 2020. I went I to surgery fully prepared with all my questions and concerns addressed. From the first visit to the baratric clinic to the surgery date total of 5 months, Dr. Rice and his team supported me all the way. I recovered without incident and have continued to loose weight.

Dr. William Rice is the epitome of professionalism and is an expert in his field. I highly respect him and reccomend him as a surgeon.

I would like to update my last post for Dr. Rice's office. I would like to apologize for my last review... The office was experiencing a computer problem, which made it not possible for them to see messages that had been left. When the staff did contact me, they were VERY apologetic and beyond helpful. Thank You so very much. And I am so sorry.

I cannot Express how grateful I am to Dr. RICE AND HIS TEAM! Everyone went above and beyond to provide me with excellent care, and making sure I had knowledge to care for myself after surgery. He is efficient and patient with every question. I would say their staff have been some of the best I have ever experienced! Thank you for helping me on this journey.

Absoulutely the best there is in the Albuquerque Area. Hands down best bedside manners and all around hero in my book!

The entire staff was so wonderful! My surgery went well and I have had no complications. I have been healing very well, and was back to my life in 2 weeks. Very pleased!

Dr. Rice was very knowledgeable and took his time going over all my questions.

Very disappointed with the customer service of Dr. Rice's office. My doctor referred me in October of 2016. I was told by Dr. Rice's office they were filled up for the remainder of the year and that I should hear from them in January and have my initial visit in February, 2017. February came no call, so I called they said they needed to hire more nutritionist and I will hear from them in March, well guess what it's April and still no call. So very disappointed!

I've had zero issues! Dr. Rice is the best.

I had lap band to sleeve revision and couldn't be happier with the results and service Dr. Rice and his staff are providing me. Dr. Rice earns all 10 stars with me because not only is he compassionate and caring, but, he took the time to answer all my many questions pertaining to revision and trust me I had many! Thank you Dr. Rice for your patience. You have earned my complete trust in you as a Bariatric surgeon.

After taking a leap of faith and switching to Dr. Rice from an accredited office, I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Dr. Rice and his entire team are always their for us to answer any question and have made my surgery a complete success. I don't believe that if I would have had my surgery with any other surgeon I would've had the success I have had. It's so nice to walk into an office where everyone knows you and seems to care and not be at an office where your just another patient

Dr. Rice and the entire Bariatric Team have me me feel successful from day 1. I had surgery almost 6 months ago and am down 97 lbs, and have lost almost 70% of my body weight. I am only about 40 lbs from my long term goal of 115.

Dr Rice made me feel like success was a matter of fact in areas of my weight loss and athletic goals. He was supportive and confident when talking over my progress.
