I recommend mitcherling to anyone they did a very good job with my oral surgery.

Dr. Mitcherling literally saved my husband's life about two months ago. He went to his office to have two teeth removed, he'd had an infection in them, and had started having shortness of breath. Dr. Mitcherling began the process of extraction; he noticed that his oxygen level was very low on the pulse-oximeter. After giving my husband supplemental oxygen and realizing he still was not breathing correctly, Dr. Mitcherling referred him directly to the ER. Turned out, he was having a pulmonary embolism! Insurance referred me to northern parkway location for consult to remove wisdom tooth. Doctor gave his best suggestion, provided me with medication and set up next appt. Unfortunately due to other emergency problems had to cancel. Called back 3 days later to see if I come in same day due to the fact my tooth is still hurting and told me I couldn't come in because I missed my other appt. Stating the doctor wasn't in the office, neither brother was working and couldn't offer someone who covers them when they are out of the office. This is very unprofessional. Dr. Mitcherling is great but his office staff is unprofessional, unorganized and unhelpful. I found a new oral surgeon because the staff is intolerable. His office also uses Towson Surgical Center- who does not take dental insurance. Highly recommend to find a new surgeon if customer service and dental insurance are important to you. Excellent experience...extracted two erupted wisdom teeth quick and easy.

When I showed up to the place for my appointment, it kept getting pushed back while I was there. They kept taking patients before me even when their appointment was later than mine. I waited 2 hours and still didn't get looked at. It sounds like he's double booking himself and taking whoever he pleases. Do not recommend to anyone.

My appointment was at 1pm. I arrived at 1245pm and did not be seen. I waited til 3pm and walked out. There was a guy who missed his 1pm appt came at 2 pm and was seen before me. They also saw patients who had 2pm and 230pm appts before even giving me a room. I asked the receptionist and she said they were post op and wanted to get all of them before my initial consultation. This was terrible and a waste of time. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My appointment was at 1pm. I arrived at 1245pm and did not be seen. I waited til 3pm and walked out. This man is absolutely the best!!! Dr. Mitcherling is truly in his element. Excellent bed side manner. He tells you exactly how he’s going to approach your situation and he takes his time with you. I had several extractions done by Mitcherling and Mitcherling over the years. All were great experiences. All of the staff members were courteous and wonderful. I highly recommend this office.

Waste of my money the phony local Anesthesia did not put me out. And he numb me 5 times well needless to say the tooth was still in there when I left...

I've been to this practice twice in my life, and I've never had another dental/surgical experience like them.. Dr. John and his staff/partners are incredibly caring and professional. He makes you feel at ease, and is as gentle as possible. I will be back to see him again. Thank you to him and of course his wonderful staff.

I was referred to Dr. Mitcherling for an extraction and I could not have asked for a better dentist. He knew I was not fond of needles or anything dentistry related but I was overwhelmed by how easy everything went. He is probably the kindest person you will ever meet who places an extractor device in your mouth!! Furthermore, it was all pain free. His staff is extremely courteous and very well mannered. I had my 8th molar extracted here & it was a very pleasant experience because it was my first time ever having a tooth pulled. Dr. Mitcherling was so gentle, quick & easy.

This place was a life saver. I was able to get seen and had work done in 1 day. When I made the appointment they asked for x-rays and was no issue, just went to my dentist and received the x-rays. Usual form filled out and was in and out in no time. Price was not bad from my insurance and was for warned about possible bill for medical check for my issue. Dr. William Mitcherling is an incredibly good dentist. He takes time to fully explain the procedures, which have been pain free. In addition, he's an affable person with whom it is easy to connect. His staff has always been very helpful.

Love this oral surgeon his sense of urgency is excellent his sense of humor is excellent and the timely manner that my surgery was done I could not thank god for more peaceful surgery!!!!! I am thankful to God that he completed my surgery my wisdom teeth were dangerously impacted with a possible cancer tumor and he removed everything!! The doctors have been solid, but on two occasions now, front office staff have been curt, unhelpful, and wasted my time. They won't get a third. Found another oral surgeon.
