My first encounter with Dr. Mitchell was a nightmare. Beware, Dr. Mitchell is unprofessional, arrogant, and rude! Because of Workers Compensation, I had no choice but to attend this doctor. He advised that I have surgery, but I do not trust this doctor. He mentioned in his report that my pain tolerance was insufficient. You should not be a doctor if you are not passionate about your patients and the level of treatment you provide. According to a doctor who has worked with Dr. Mitchell, he became this way as a result of his divorce from his ex-wife.

Dr William Mitchell is a very knowledgeable and highly skilled neurosurgeon. As an ICU nurse needing complicated neck surgery, i was scared and anxious. Being empathetic, Dr Mitchell listened to me and put my worries at ease. He presented the evidence of my injury and his recommendation for best treatment. Because of Dr Mitchell's masterful skills and expertise, my neck surgery is a success. He remains just as attentive to my needs after the surgery. His dedication, wisdom, and extensive experience makes him an excellent doctor. I believe that my quality of life has tremendously improved because of Dr Mitchell.

SCAM! Be warned he and his office are total paycheck chasers from workmans comp. They refused to see my husband because he was 5 minutes late for a second opinion we didnt ask for and drove an hour. Looked at his reports while we filled out paperwork and still refused to actually see him. They refused to give my husband his own medical records or information on jis case. His gate keeper of receptionist is a complete b*tch. He is a disgrace to all doctors. Just looking to get paid out.

I never read reviews and I’m so glad I didn’t read Dr Mitchell’s. If you have read the reviews, I encourage you to make make an appointment and form your own opinion. Trust me it could be the difference from living with extreme pain or living without it. I went to see Dr. Mitchell after being treated by another local neurologist who discharged me when I was still having severe pain along with many other issues. During my first appointment with Dr. Mitchell, he was very straight forward, but professional. He asked for my prior medical history. After explaining where my pain was, he provided me with his knowledge of what he perceived was causing the problem. Furthermore, he ordered tests to confirm. Upon receiving the test results, Dr. Mitchell was completely correct. Dr. Mitchell once again thoroughly explained to me the reason why I was in pain and also visibly showed me on the computer. He strictly is a workmans comp doctor. His pockets get lined by his lies. Fraudulent reports for insurance companies. No ethics, values, respect. He obviously didn’t care about the oath he took. Very rude, arrogant and egotistical. Harvard taught him nothing. Phenomenal neurosurgeons are out there, don’t let this man touch you.

This Doctor is a cheat and a liar. I can't believe someone would actually lie on a document and say you told him your doing better to normal. Its one thing to give a opinion but when you tell a lie your asking for trouble. When so many people point out that your being dishonest chances are you are. He is in the pockets of the workman compensation people. The medical records in any legal matter are absolutely necessary to establish not only the medical care and treatment provided, but also for use in legal proceedings. Alteration or falsifying of a medical record has serious consequences, criminally, civilly, and affects the credibility of the practitioner. Don't let him get away with a lie fight back.

I think he has a real problem, he was everything but a professional, loved himself cares not about the patients only the money he get from the workman’s comp people who hire him. Not sure he doesn’t need to see a doctor himself for SEVERAL problems. My son thought he was on something, that’s how nuts he was acting.

When workman’s comp sent me to him I was a little hesitant to go because of the reviews on here. He is very confident and knowledgeable about his field which judging from the reviews on here can rub people the wrong way. However when someone is about to put screws in your spine I can assure you confidence and knowledge are 2 qualities you look for in a surgeon. I had my surgery at the end of January and 4.5 months later the pain difference is night and day. I’m continuing to improve week to week and I’m very happy with the results. So much so that I’m actually writing a review (I never do these) as a token of my appreciation.

He was the most obnoxious doctor I have ever seen. He will ask you a question then he answers for you. He is a bully a lier and a cheat. I saw him in a rented space office of his for workman’s comp . Never cared about my complaints or why I was even there. First question he asked if I was catholic. Then stated he was catholic and Catholics never have regrets. I did answer him and told him the only regret I had was that I had to come to him as a comp patient.

Dr Mitchell is an old school physician who Takes the time to fully explain all aspects of your medical condition, diagnosis and options with you. Very rare among doctors and extremely rare for neurosurgeons. Dr Mitchell is a kind caring and detailed physician. Do yourself a huge favor and make an appointment today.

Dr. Mitchell may be the most obnoxious person I have ever met. I feel bad for his wonderful receptionist that she has to work for him. After waiting an hour and a half we met and he spoke about how awesome he is. Then proceeded with his "rapid fire questioning" Hard to get a word in at all. He made statements to incinuate that I was faking my pain, he made no recommendations to help me and then rudely "wished me luck" If he could listen to himself talk and get paid, he would do that instead.

I literally can't believe all the bad reviews! Dr. Mitchell is a great physician! Is he to the point... yes... does he address your needs... yes... he doesn't play around he is to the point and knows what he is talking about... I don't think he is rude at all! And even if he was rude who cares! I rather have a rude dr that knows what he is talking about then a nice stupid one.. Dr mitchell did my surgery and I'm glad he did.. I'm not 100% better but I have had some improvements

Since this is a WC case, I didn't have a choice of doctor with my visit w/Mr. Mitchell. This man was condescending, obnoxious and downright crude. He didn't let me talk, explaining that he had bicep surgery and the only reason I was told to get it is so that the doctor could make (rubbing his thumb and index finger) money. What kind of doctor says that? I will be making an appt. with my own ortho. Beware of this guy. Scary ....

Omg!! The man should not be practing. He is a nightmare. Ego, arrogance, ignorant, rude, self centered, impatient, quack. Wait forever for him to tell you to go back to back. Thank God I got a wonderful neurosurgeon. I ended up needing a fusion. Harvard didn't teach you ethics, morals & manners. Very sneaky, works for your insurance company. He caused me more medical problems. He likes to say high blood pressure, the stress and anxiety dealing with him caused it. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, shocked by all your comments. If you spent 1/4 of your life in school to master what he does daily then maybe you can all have a say in his "mannerisms". Is he short and to the point = YES, does he listen = YES, does he listen to your concerns = YES, did he ask = Did I miss anything?... YEP! And as the wife of the patient - I am 'his" voice, I am the one who deals with the pain on a daily. This guy might not be florence nightingale, but he has the ability to get rid of chronic pain.

Never met a doctor quite like this. Very arrogant . Talks over you, doesn't listen to you or even make eye contact. He was asking me questions and I was answering him with his back turned to me. He even took it a step further by insulting me a couple of times. Wow outraged.

Mr. Mitchell is quick to taut his medical schooling and background but no respectable surgeon would relegate himself to performing IMEs for insurance companies. He was extremely rude and his level of arrogance is unmatched, I couldn’t be happier that the truth prevailed and his worthless opinion was laughed at by the judge and I was awarded the surgery that he denied. I hope that I have saved you from having to deal with this unprofessional, rude, sniveling little man.

Was there today. Waited 3 hours for the MRI Ta I brought to download on his computer. He has the worst bedside manner and has no sympathy if you're in pain. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to him. I had to tell him which discs were herniated because he was too lazy/arrogant to even look at the report !!!! Time I'll never get back. Hope I save someone some trouble. Find someone who cares and wants to help. He didn't know anything about medications. Ugh horrible

Dr.Michelle is an Excellent person and surgeon. He thoroughly describes my espinal issues, and the non-invasive surgiera he would perfume, the hearing time, post-surgidas expectations, etc. He was very catering after the surgery,and called me home to check on my recovery . The resultó were Excellent!! I was painfree! and back to work, after the 4 months he had said. I would definitely recommend him !

I had a great experience with Dr. Mitchell. When I first saw him he was very thorough showing me my MRI. My surgery went very well, he even called me personally the evening after my surgery just to check on me. Within a month I was pain free. I would recommend Dr. Mitchell to anyone.

I wouldn't call Mitchell a doctor. Unfortunately crooked insurance companies force you to see him. He is a big bully anything but professional. Please run!!!!!! He is very rude, inconsiderate and like a 2 year old, it has to be his way or he tantrums. My first visit I waited 50 minutes to see him. He slams the door it unlatches and opens. He says to me if you want privacy get up and shut it. Mind you I have severe injuries. A absolute nightmare. He enjoys intimating & traumatizing. Again RUN!!

I tried my best to be open minded when my insurance 'made' me go to Dr. Mitchell. At first glance his education resume is impressive. Once I read other reviews I was a bit concerned. I too believe that the insurance companies are lining the pockets of Dr. Mitchell and his concern for his patients is subpar or non-existent. He has his mind made up before examining you. I don't believe he cares what is best for me, I truly don't. And his staff, they are his little puppets. It's disgusting!!

Dr. Mitchell is caring, patient and very through. He explained my health issue and took the time to answer all my concerns. I didn't feel rushed and he is trying every avenue possible so I don't have to have surgery. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Mitchell is a no nonsense guy in my opinion , He is considerate to the patients needs , accurate to his findings , very detailed when explaining his methods and/ or procedures and provides excellent post surgical care ...
