Dr. William Matthew Lucas

Dr Lucas staff's customer service has severely gone downhill since becoming Compass. It was not the best before. But now they have a GOD complex and a greater that thou attitude. While the doctor has a laid back attitude for kids, it sometime borders on what do you think we should do. as if he doesn't know, or doesn't want to be responsible for any decisions. Of course with the GODs of the front office standing near by, I would probably have a passive attitude too.

Best doc I've ever had. Straightforward, very patient with complex medical explanations. A veteran with experience in a variety of different locations treating different ranges of issues, including a stint in a Covid ward during the initial NYC outbreak in 2020. Bottom line: great doctor. Great human being. Can't go wrong with Dr. Lucas.

Been going to Dr Lucas for the past 8 years and he is kind, gentle and explains so that you can understand.

They are absolutely wonderful with my daughter. Always polite, addressing my concerns in a straightforward easy to understand way.

Dr. Hoover is by far the absolute worst and most unprofessional doctor! She's rude and could careless about her patients. Don't waste your time on her.

Dr. Lucas is patient, kind and listens to you when you tell him your issue. He is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and charismatic. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Lucas is very polite and has a modern, clean office. The staff is very easy going. However, if you want a cure for whatever your condition is, not gonna happen. You explain the issues you're having. Prescription, prescription, prescription. In and out. No education on nutrition. Had to request testing based on own research to find cause of my issues. Good luck getting prescription refills. Takes multiple calls from the pharmacy and the patient to get them filled. Closed on Friday's.

I recently tried to set my family up with medical care through this facility. I did everything I was told to do. I dropped off our paperwork, was told about their “policies” by a receptionist that was busy “eating something”. I was feeling a bit anxious about a potential medical situation with my daughter but understood that I would have to “wait”. I was told that the schedule looked pretty full, however and I felt like my daughter needed to be seen (depression) As soon as possible. Her “counseling” appointment was put out for 3 months later through another agency. I asked the junk food eating receptionist to just put me in in the next available (quite a ways out) and let me know when the applications for “care” were processed. A week later, no call. I call the facility and was told that they don’t have my paperwork and there is no appointment for my daughter on the books. When I tried to “discuss” I was transferred to a manager who abruptly told me that they would not accept me or my family as new patients. My daughter was self harming. I was scared, reaching out for help...and dumped by this facility. The staff refused to listen to me, the mother of a potential patient and rather dumped my family in favor of supporting the eating receptionists version of the story. What about the children.? Dr. Lucas is fantastic with my son. He is both patient and kind.

I highly recommend Dr. Lucas. He has provided excellent care to my mother. We ask a lot of questions, and he patiently addresses all of our concerns. The staff is wonderful, too.

I have seen this doctor several times over two years. He seems knowledgeable, but he is a linear thinker and he is aloof. He doesn't want to consider the entire person's health picture at once, but prefers to isolate a problem and reduce it to just data which he then acts on. He doesn't ask (or seem to care) what I would like to do, but instead dictates what I should do. I find him condescending. It does not feel like a partnership which I would like to have with a healthcare provider.
