Absolutely ridiculous. Incredible wait times. Impossible to get through to anyone without long hold or getting the answering service. I have an autoimmune condition but they can't tell me what it is? It's their speciality? Sent me to an alarming number of referrals with other physicians which should be doctor speak for " I don't know what to do with you, how to diagnose or treat your symptoms." I went in January, saw the doctor once. Pawned off on a nurse practitioner. Since then no answers. Nothing except keep getting tests. No pain relief, no hormone help. Worthless. Someone should tell these doctors how arduous it is to go to twelve satellite doctors offices to make appointments and how much of your life is wasted. Referrals on a post-it? Are you serious? Inefficient staff, no call backs and long wait times for absolutely anything. Don’t waste your time

Dr. Litchfield is truly the kindest, most genuine, and caring doctors out there. He truly listens, and wants what is best for his patients. I always look forward to my visits. His staff is helpful, friendly, and efficient. I would see any of the staff at this location, they are all fabulous.

Dr. Litchfield is awesome. He has always been willing to listen to my concerns. I appreciate that he is willing to explore options and takes my treatment seriously. I can't recommend Dr. Litchfield enough, if you are looking for a caring doctor he's the best!

I think I've developed high blood pressure and anxiety due to having to deal with this office's staff and nurses! Unfortunately it's not easy to find a good Endocrinologist in Las Vegas, so I don't have many options, but there is no way that I can continue with this staff. They absolutely don't care about their patients, and do not LISTEN at all! They are quick to tell you what you need to do, without letting you finish your sentence! If your health is important to you, think twice before going to this office. They will not care about you. They only care about what's convenient for them!

Great doctor, but horrible, rude, and terrifying staff. There is maybe 1-2 people in the whole office that will actually try to help and communicate professionally. I love Dr. L, but I can’t stand their rude staff, so I may need to look elsewhere unfortunately.

I have been a patient of Desert Endocrinology since June 2017. Although I have only seen Dr. Litchfield twice, he was the on-call physician this past weekend. I have been battling with CVS to receive necessary diabetes supplies for over a month and was in dire straits on Friday. I called Desert Endocrinology twice due to the total ineptness of CVS, who HAD the information (actual prescription and Medicare coding) but still would not fill my prescription. Dr. Litchfield went above and beyond and called the CVS Pharmacist in charge HIMSELF, in order for me to receive not only my supplies but also the proper coding for Medicare to pay the bill, saving me over $400. I cannot say enough about Dr. Litchfield, the entire staff and particularly Jamie Jadid, APRN who I regularly see every three months. LOVE this practice and cannot recommend them highly enough! I previously saw a supposed "most highly rated" endocrinologist in Summerlin who misdiagnosed me and was AWFUL!!!

I had been badly misdiagnosed for decades by other Doctors and was given inappropriate medications that made my condition much worse. There are no reason they discharged patients. If asked any valid reason they can not provide anything. Sadly, I've read reviews in this site and others that give a poor rating of Dr. Litchfield and I have to respectfully disagree. I have been a patient of Dr. Litchfield for the past 15 years and in that time I have thrived. When I first saw him, I was as ill as one person can be and still be on this side of the dirt. In my opinion, if you are in need of an Endocrinologist, disregard the one star reviews because you couldn't find a better Endocrinologist any where.

Greatest Endocrinologist in Southern Nevada! Dr. Litchfield has been successfully treating patients in our valley since 1998. His practice is busy However, he always takes new patients and if you've been searching for an Endocrinologist, you know not all of them do that. A hands on Doctor, he personally does his own neck scanning instead of sending you to other places. Harvard trained, respected by his peers and trusted by his patients, this is the specialist you've been looking for to help you. The staff of Desert Endocrinology is first class and go out of their way to help their clients, Corey his PA is kind, takes time to help in what ever way possible. I recommend without hesitation.

Horrible. They refused to let me reschedule an appointment from March of 2020 during the COVID lock down. What an arrogant SOB. He should be honored that any pt would want to travel across town, let alone from a different city. Rude and arrogant are terrible personality traits for any physician

Dr. Litchfield is the reason I'm alive today. I came to him very ill with an un-diagnosed thyroid condition. I had been to other GP'S and Endocrinologists and they failed to find the problem. Dr. Litchfield knew what was wrong on the first visit, he then ran the right tests, did a neck scan himself and confirmed his diagnosis. He's confident not arrogant, listens well and explains everything so that his patients feel comfortable. There isn't a better Endocrinologist in the valley.

Erroneously bill you without explanation and then go the extra mile to show no remorse or understanding or willingness to admit their mistake or make it right. Terrible staff that are very difficult to work with. Embarrassingly bad customer service in a service centered industry.

I was in the hospital and Dr. Litchfield worked with my Dr. I was in the middle of a thyroid storm. He came up with the medicine to stop the storm. When I call the doctor he goes out of his way to contact me even after hours. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr Litchfield.

Dr. LITCHFIELD is a great doctor. He came highly recommended by other medical providers in LV. He listens and discusses with you a treatment plan. When or if its not working he actually will change it. My only complaint is the MA he has doing scripts called my RX in 2x wrong. Both were fixed promptly but after I payed for copay and picked up. Over the past 13 years, I have had several endocrinologists and found they were pretty much the same, prescribing the predictable medications for diabetes, lecturing about diet and exercise and offering little that I already didn't know. Dr. Litchfield actually listens to his patients before devising a plan for treatment, and to use the cliche, he thinks outside the box. He explains all options clearly and in terms civilians can understand, something I have found is rare among endocrinologists. Dr. Litchfield used a white board to present and organize a plan that represented my unique situation, and has given me optimism that I have found the right doctor. He is a good listener, obviously a competent, caring specialist with the background and tools to help his patients cope with medical issues such as diabetes. I have complete confidence in Dr. Litchfield.

Tremendously compassionate, very respectful, with a great bedside manner. In my opinion, DR. Litchfield has no competition in the Endocrinology field. The front desk girls are friendly, helpful and will always try to get you the appointment you want. This is the Endocrinologist for you IF you want not just a physician to see once or twice a year but a partner in your healthcare journey.

I have been hyperthyroid for years, though I'm a Hashimoto's case. My primary tried for 2 years to help me with changing my dosages. He sent me here for answers. I was never tested for the conditions that cause hyperthyroidism. I previously saw another dr in the practice who overdosed me and this is what Litchfield said was my diagnosis. I didn't argue, figuring he'd see me a few more times and see what was happening. But I only saw a nurse and PA with whom I pleaded to help me find out why I was still hyperthyroid as they repeated the treatment my primary did which was back and forth with the same dosage changes that did nothing. I finally see the dr again and he tells me it's probably my colon! The gastroenterologist just shook his head saying impossible. My colon is fine. But my eyes are swollen from hyperthyroidism my ophthalmologist says. The last appt was with the PA who said I never did and could not possibly have hyperthyroidism.

Don't bother with these people. They want me to see them before they refill my Metformin which is a drug I need for my diabetes. Will not even give me a month's worth until I can get in to see them. Plus with the virus going around I do not want to be in a doctor's office if I do not have to be. My wife asked them what difference does it make whether they see me or not my condition hasn't changed in 3 years, and no answer. Don't bother with these people. Dr. Litchfield is OK, but his nurses are rude and condescending especially Ray. In last 5 years and 18+ visits, I was attended by Litchfield twice and then his PA which is OK but can't take rudeness from his nurses.

Had an appointment as a new patient. I needed my thyroid meds filled. The office wouldn't do thatuntil my appointment. Being off these meds for a month is really bad!!! Huge red flag..cancelled my appointment and scheduled with, The Docs!

RUN AWAY!! I decided to see Litchfield after having surgery for thyroid cancer. He is actually a very nice man and seemed very caring. His nurse, not so much. She was rude and blew off my cancer as "no big deal...the best cancer to have." as if there is such a thing. Dr. then prescribed hormone medication, said he preferred name brand over generic and gave me a sample bottle with 10 days. I got to pharmacy and his office called in generic of a totally different kind of medication and are closed on Friday so I had to wait until Monday. Then I went to get a biopsy on other thyroid nodule that he ordered. His office put in order wrong for the left thyroid, except that was removed 4 weeks prior and they told me he should have known the nodule on the other side was too small for them to do a biopsy. They were convinced I still had thyroid tissue on left and tried to do a biopsy on that and stuck me a dozen times only to then realize they were seeing something else, but still sending tissue sample to pathology. Called Litchfield office today. They got results 2 days ago but they refuse to share results until my appointment in 3 weeks!! So I might still have cancer, I might not! They were not even going to call me. If you do not care about your health and your doctor making absolutely unacceptable mistakes costing you worry, time and money, then by all means see this doctor. However, if you think your life is valuable and you want your doctor AND HIS STAFF to treat your life with respect and dignity than RUN AWAY!! Update: I spoke with Dr. Litchfield (finally) today 9/9/19. He summarily blamed everyone else for his mistakes. CVS changed the prescription he specifically ordered. He then told me he never ordered a biopsy but rather just an ultrasound and it was the diagnostic center that told him I needed a biopsy. Of course the 2 messages I left for him to call me with his office were never recorded and he had no record of them. At the end he told me that I would probably be happier with a different doctor and they would send my records to whoever I chose. He then said that "we have had nothing but an problem with your attitude from the beginning." Keep in mind that I have only been to 1 visit at his office and this call today was the very first time I ever spoke with him on the phone. My relationship with his office began with his nurse telling me I had an "easy cancer." To summarize, he and his staff made a series of medical blunders but they were everyone else's fault. None of my calls were recorded and I have an attitude problem. I cannot tell you who to choose for a doctor, but this is your health and your life. PLEASE take the time to choose someone who is going to take responsibility for their actions. Mistakes happen, but repeated mistakes are a pattern. Denial is simply a lack of personal accountability. I am a type 1 Diabetic and was recommended Dr. Litchfield by other Diabetics. They say that he is not “sponsored” by Medtronic and other pharmaceutical companies like other Doctors in the area. At this point, I do not even care about that. Litchfield’s staff made me feel like another patient they would never see again. They made me feel like I was taking up their time when I asked them questions. Litchfield saw me and could not go over my blood sugar results like the Doc’s office does. He also suggested that I got an ultrasound on my thyroid. My thyroid was fine but told me that I would eventually need thyroid medication. What? This was very strange to me. I needed an insulin refill and the office refused to fill it. I hadn't seen them in a year so I guess it made sense, but even after I made an appointment they would not give me a refill and the appointment wait time was extremely long. Tldr; they forced me to get tests done that I did not need and did not treat my diabetes as well as other clinics in town. Go see Dr. Martin or Dr. Uzman at the Docs. Let me start by saying the majority of the people at this practice do not treat people with any compassion or respect. Not all, but most. The first negative experience I had with the office personnel happened after I missed my appointment in October 2017. The person I talked to was extremely rude, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I assumed she didn’t know my sister had just been killed in the Oct 1 shooting. I had a few other issues with the office staff being difficult over the next 2 years when trying to refill a prescription or reschedule an appointment. The last straw just occurred when I tried to get a refill on my insulin for my type 1 diabetes. They said they couldn’t refill my prescription because I had missed my last appointment. The appointment was a follow up to an appointment I had 2 months prior and I paid the missed appointment fee. They had just seen me 4 months ago and said they couldn’t refill my script because they needed to see me. After arguing with a PA for the refill, she said she could refill enough to get to my next appointment which I asked to be with Dr. Litchfield. She scheduled it and was going to write the prescription. She then called back 10 minutes later and said they would give me my original request for a refill, but I would need to find a new provider and cancelled my appointment. So after all the issues, they abandoned their “policies” and gave me the script I needed to live. Thanks. Dr. Litchfield unlike other Endocrinologists in the valley cares about his patients. He listens to you, takes his time in his extensive examination, explains the test results and diagnosis then compiles a treatment plan. When you leave his office, you confident about the visit and assured that you are receiving the best medical treatment available. I have recommended him to many of my friends who have had great results. IF you want the best Endocrinologist, Dr. Litchfield is the one.

I was a patient of Dr. Litchfield for many years & always referred people to him claiming he is the best however it has been 3 years since seeing him due to 2 surgeries with orthopedic issues. When I called to make an appointment for a check up just to get back on track the receptionist told me I was considered a new patient now &... I need to bring a statement from Medicaid saying I no longer have this insurance. I told her I don’t remember having that type of insurance however I have teachers health insurance now & for the last 3 years, she stated over & over I have to bring them that statement stating I do not have Medicaid. Good care

Dr Litchfield is a great doctor. He does my yearly ultrasound personally on my thryoid gland along with all the nodules. He always has time to answer as many questions as I have and belive me I sometimes have alot. I reconmend him to all my friends and family. I have been going to Dr. Litchfield for 7 years. In the beginning I saw only him but as I got better through his excellent care I was asked if it would be ok to see his PA. I agreed and was very pleased with Violet, a wonderful doctor. I came into something beyond her scope and was immediately seeing Dr. Litchfield again until the matter was underhand and just being monitored. Today, my diabetes is under control, I am off of medication and my health is the best it has been since surviving cancer and I owe it all to this team of Drs that I travel 175 miles to see every 4 months. As far as staff goes, I have never had any problems, they are always accommodating me in scheduling with other Drs on the same day so I can make the long trip worthwhile. I was sad to hear recently that they no longer take medicare for new patients. Thankfully I will remain under his care, but a friend of mine I referred to him had to go elsewhere. I was reading his reviews and couldn't believe it was the same office I go to...I have never had the problems described by so many others. I was a patient until i left Las Vegas about 6 years ago. I recently came back and his staff said that after 6 years I would be considered new patient and he's not interested. Poor attitude, he's obviously not the same person I liked 6 years ago.

Dr. Litchfield seems to care only about money and most of the time his PAs would see you. No refills unless you have seen them in last 3 months. Will give you free samples and would try to squeeze money from insurance for this samples. Dr. is greedy and support staff is rude.

I questioned a high level on my lab work. Doctor was condescending and dismissed my question and didn't address the underlying issue that caused the high level. When i switched to a new endocrinologist, he ordered an MRI to address the cause of my abnormal result. My condition is currently being treated with medication and the underlying issue is being monitored by my new doctor. I had a medical issue Dr. Litchfield ignored. I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

Sadly! I had my hopes up very high for Dr.Litchfield. I've heard quite a bit about him. I waited a couple months to see him my 1st appointment felt like it was going the right way he sent me for the usual (hypothyroid) labs and he also wanted me to get labs for something called Hama. I hadn't ever heard of this he was very professional and explained. So excited as I was, I went the next week to get my labs. Waited 5 weeks for my follow up visit to see his a different NP there. When I arrived at my appointment the ladies at front desk said, "Hey great news you can see Dr.Litchfield theres been a cancellation". His nurse came in asked A few questions with her dry stale personality thats fun. The Dr. Came in and as he was going through my labs telling me how great they looked except tsh level was high. Then he went in to the entire conversation we had in my previous appointment! About HAMA! That's exactly why I went and got my labs done again! Ugh He completely dropped the ball, my expression showed it. I explained that is why im here to follow up. This is exactly what you told me before. He scrambled through the labs and said he just cant explain why it wasn't ordered! I wanted to SCREAM! What kind of explanation is that. He resent me to do the lab and assured me id be able to call for results. His nurse comes in and does the ending of the appointment as she was just as rude and stale as the last two times ive dealt with her she needs to find a new career shes pretty terrible. Dr. Litchfield in my opinion is an okay doctor. I say "okay" because I hardly see him..it's usually a nurse practioner. The staff tend to treat you like you're not a human being...I think inmates get treated with more respect..I know that's exaggerated but it's pretty close. They lack compassion and customer service skills.

Dr. Litchfield is a gem! He is takes the time to converse and explain things. He is truly compassionate!

Very competent and caring - qualities hard to find.

After standing at the counter watching the staff ignore for ten minutes I was told my appointment would cost $300 after insurance just to see him. For the mediocre review's I figured it wasn't worth the time I drove out. Only scheduled an appointment because I heard he would up my meds without really caring.

Dr. Litchfield I've never been talked to so rudely in my life! That girl Royce should not have a job she kept cutting me off, and then told me to go ahead and talk when I asked her why she was cutting me off? I then tried to speak again and was cut off again by her. When I asked why she was being so rude she told me she had another patient as if I were not a patient. First she answered the phone laughing then she told me I canceled, when I told her that was untrue, she changed it and said I was a no show which was still inaccurate. Something is wrong with me I wouldn't miss an appointment. After all of that I was told I would be seeing a PA. Why would I want to see an assistant when it is the Dr. who I came to see? It is the Doctor who I have a relationship with? It is the Doctor who knows what is going on with me, and what we have been trying. When I told her that she told me nobody else has a problem with it. Well little girl I'm not nobody else I am a human being who is having an issue and was looking to my DOCTOR to assist. I read through the reviews before going to see Dr. Litchfield, on this and other sites. Most patients were happy with their visit, some weren't but I decided to go, I'm glad I did. They were all very professional and kind, from start to finish everything went well. The practice is busy and there are other Doctors, when I made another appointment I expressed my desire to be seen only by him and have been accommodated.

Upon scheduling my first appointment with Dr Litchfield, I was given a day and time, that was misquoted. Due to a conflict, I needed to reschedule. Per notes- noted on the website indicated the hours of operation being 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, I was unable to reach anyone until 8 a.m.. Once I reached the front office staff, I was told, due to my inability to keep the appointment I compromised patient care. When I first saw Dr. Litchfield he was great. But every visit after, and I have been going to him for a couple of years now, you see only his staff members. It's almost as though he is available for first time visits only. It's not a big deal, but just saying don't except to see him after your initial visit.

Great staff and an amazing doctor! I would highly recommend him. He is honest, kind and a closet genius.

I was very ill and saw the doctor once and the rest of my visit i saw 2-3 Nurse practitioners. The first one double my dosage and I damaged my liver and went from hyper to hypo and back to hyper all in two weeks. The next one was nice but told me they cant do anything and I could go into a storm thyroid and die. They charged me full price because they said they did not like my insurance but once they were paid I would be reimbursed. Right... They never called me to see how I was doing

My wife had Hyperthyroidism and was treated by an excellent Dr in our previous city. When we decided to move we asked that doctor for a recommendation for a new doctor in Las Vegas. He suggested his classmate from Harvard, Dr. Litchfield. From the beginning Dr. Litchfield communicated very well and patiently answered all our questions. His manner is very warm and caring. We see him every six months and on only one occasion did we see anyone else in his place.

I felt Dr. Litchfield didn't care about my health. I rarely saw him and most often saw the PA. I think I should have time with the doctor not the PA. When I did see Dr Litchfield he dismissed my concerns quite rudely, stating all my symptoms were normal for Hypothyroid. No words of advice nor guidance. I would not recommend this doctor at all. Treats his patients like cattle sending them to the PA, and dismisses your health concerns. I think Litchfield is jaded and disconnected.

Very rude staff.Las time. I am coming to this doctor office. Very disappointed. I do not recommend, unless you like to be treated like an animal instead of a person. Because i just feel like i was treated like a thing to make money, yes no costumer attention whatsoever.

Very intelligent! Takes his time. Has lots of empathy towards his patience. My brother in law has been going to him for six years and referred me to him. I'm glad he did. I have been going to Dr. Litchfield's office for a couple years. My first visit I actually got to see Dr. Litchfield. After that he sends you to see one of his physicians assistants. When I first began going I was happy because one of the PA's I was seeing was knowledgeable about my condition-Hashimotos. Keven Springer kept up on current research and knew what the thyroid numbers should look like. He left and since all the PAs I have seen do not keep up on current research, they do not treat the whole problem. I have an auto-immune disease not just a low producing thyroid. I went to this office because they are supposed to be one of the best. I am not going back since all the current PA can do is read my numbers by the ridiculous range that has been set. The PA I was currently seeing has no idea about my condition.I want to see someone who is knowledgeable and keeps up on current research. I have been coming here for over 7 years now. The staff is professional, top notch, always organized and ready for your appointment. My insurance changed last year and I started to go somewhere else, was disappointed in the service and came back, paying out of pocket at a great rate to stay with them.
