Dr. William Ling

Good Dr. All around.

He sux.

I find it interesting that his reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star. I had to use him and I agree with those who gave him 1 star. He was a waste of time and money. Probably did the bare minimum and left many questions. I even got two second opinions, both of who strongly disagreed with William Ling. I now think he may purposely been trying to steer me in the wrong direction. I would NOT recommend this guy and regret using him myself.

I'm a mother who came out on the losing end of what was and remains a custody war. Dr. Ling was our evaluator. Looking back 6 years later, I think Dr. Ling's report was fair. The GAL in my case recommended Dr. Ling and so it was ordered. This same GAL later exclaimed referring to my ex, "He's manipulating everyone!" And so, I write that to show that even though I lashed out at Dr. Ling and sometimes the GAL, they were still able to be objective. If you're looking to wage high conflict litigation, don't do it. You think you can mitigate the damage You cannot control natural consequences. It should never even get to a point where you even need to hire an evaluator. Don't get to a point where you need evaluators, forensic counseling, etc. If you are among what is probably the statistically small number of people who can't divorce and co-parent peacefully and need an evaluator, I think Dr. Ling was fair and objective in our situation. If only parents could be objective and calm...

Dr. Ling has evaluated two of my kids, and both have been very accurate. He listened to me, empathized with me, and gave helpful suggestions for moving forward.

As others have stated, Dr. Ling comes in with his own agenda and incorrectly applies it to your situation, leaving you no better off than before your appt. Seek help elsewhere.

A fraud and a liar. He needs a psychiatrist himself

Dr. Ling should not be a doctor. He is the worst type of person that ever walked the face of the earth. He can not evaluate a patient or a situation with any accuracy. He applies his personal agenda to other people's lives without regard to what is right. I hired him as my expert in a child custody case and he did nothing but separate me from my daughter. He is an evil man with no regard to what is right in this world. He , himself is a mere idiot. My best advice is to stay away from this so called doctor.

Listened to my concerns without dismissing them. Was able to take my scattered concerns and make them concise statements. He is very knowledgeable about the importance of providing supports to encourage the best educational success for students with ID and students with ASD.
