Great doctor

Great rapport with the patient. Went over, in detail, with my CAT scan. He instills great confidence in his patient. I am very grateful and comforted as his patient. Terrific physician.

He is an excellent doctor, very knowledgeable, thorough, and careing. No sugar coatings given. He removed a growth (cancer) from the lower part of my left lung. He got all of it, and early, so there was no need for radiation or chemo. I just saw him for my seventh year of being cancer free and doing great. I would highly recommend him.

In 2010, Dr. Kokotos performed a Cardiac quad bypass on me. It is now 9 years later and I'm feeling great. In my experience, he was a kind, caring, and excellent Surgeon. I am very grateful to him. I recommend him whole-heartedly.

I will state only the facts: after two surgeries with this doctor I went from being injured to being left disabled. I was misdiagnosed by him and after a second surgery with him lasting close to 16 hours(scheduled for 3) supposedly nothing went wrong. I'm left with more nerve damage then I can list and have even sustained permanent organ damage do to his actions. Winthrop hospital amended the surgical notes to protect themselves. I found out what CYA stands for in the hospital world...

Dr Kokotos thoroughly explains the procedure, why it is needed and what to expect. He always answers my questions and I have always felt that he is extremely knowledgeable in many areas and is very reassuring. When I had a question on a Saturday he was immediately available. He is kind, patient and understanding all while making sure you fully understand the seriousness of your condition. I would highly recommend him and grateful for all he has done for me.

Dr. Kokotos is a great surgeon who saved my dad's life and takes the time to follow up with you and explains things very well without talking down to you. He is genuinely caring and just wonderful in general. Highly recommended.

He heard the call. Left the nest. Made the grades. Aced the tests. To all the "nos" he bravely “yessed.” Just doing his job. He travels north, south, east, and west. Punches clocks. Dons the vests. Shares a jab, a joke, a jest. Just doing his job, He reaches in your father’s chest. Holds his heart. It’s pretty messed. Fixes flaws. Does his best. Just doing his job. He sews him up. Helps him rest. Treats him like an honored guest. He saves his life. They say he's blessed. He's just doing his job.

Professional, forthright, caring, and excellent surgeon !!

Dr. Kokotos performed a quad cardiac bypass on me in January, 2010. He is a kind person and a top notch surgeon. I had no complications from my surgery and loved his bedside manner. It's been almost 8 years since my surgery and I feel great. I've done my part losing weight and exercising and following up with a Cardiologist 2/year. Dr Kokotos performed a Mitrol Valve repair (open heart) procedure on me in July 2016. Eight months later and I am fine, and doing all normal activities. He is an excellent surgeon and a very nice man!

I recently had an ablation procedure on a Friday by Dr. Kokotos. I have only high praise for his surgical skills, and just an importantly, I appreciate his empathetic and gracious way he related with me. He took as much time needed to ensure that I understood the how and why of the procedure. It was gratifying and uplifting to see him early on a Saturday. And ultimately his excellent cardiac skills resulted for me in a successful outcome.

Our son had numerous collapses of his lung and Dr Kokotos and everyone and Winthrop Hospital was able to provide great care since my son also had colitis at the same time which was an additional burden.

needed valve replacement. Dr. Kokotos came in to my room and spent a good deal of time talking to me and explaining the operation from beginning to end which made me feel confident in his doing the procedure. It's been a year and I'm scheduling an appointment for my annual exam. I feel wonderful and am thankful that my Cardiologist recommended Dr. Kokotos.

I would recommend Dr.koktos very hidhly. Ihad two surgeries march 2015. Dr. kokotos did a phenomenal job on both my heart and carotid artery. I would not be putting in a computer right now if not for his work. steve Bellmore N.Y.
