Dr. James and his staff are professional and caring. They take the time to make sure you understand what is going on.

I am experiencing foot pain and a bone spur. Rather than scheduling surgery, he suggested new orthotics and a prescription cream. I’m thrilled that we are trying a noninvasive procedure first! He spent a lot of time explaining the problems and said that I have 100,000 miles left on my feet! Dr. James was very professional and very personable! Great experience!

Dr. James is very pleasant and gives very good information about your process and will answer any questions you may have. I totally recommend him.

Dr. James is one of the finest physicians I have had to deal with. His calm demeanor is such a help when trying to tell him what my issue is. Always the perfect gentleman and an honest sense of humor.

I like Dr. James and his approach. However, he does run late for appointments so go prepared to wait. He'll make it worthwhile. Also doesn't skimp on time spent with patients and is willing to take the time to explain things.

DR James really cares for his patients. He explains the problem to where it can be understood. He encourages questions. Dr James tries numerious ways to try and fix the problem before even thinking of surgery. Great Dr.

Dr. James and his staff explained the issues with my foot and how they could be corrected. They made arrangements for the needed surgery for the following week.

Dr. James's assistant was out sick so it took nearly 2 hours to be seen. It was my first visit. He was very professional and friendly and I feel like he listened to me - which I value tremendously. Friendly office staff.

Dr. James is throrough and very professional. He is honest and takes his time with his patients! I recommend him and his staff hands down top tier!

Dr James is always professional and caring. He makes sure you understand what he tells you and makes appropriate referrals for further testing and recommended footwear post recovery. In all the times I visited his office in the past few months, there was only one time that he was running late.

Very impressed with his demeanor and his knowledge. Very good communicator.

He listened to my perspective, examined the x-rays, manipulated my foot, and effectively diagnosed my problem; literally, putting his finger on the problem. He planned a procedure to address the problem and, in the meantime, prescribed a topical medication to try to alleviate the pain. Diagnostic capabilities aside, he was cordial and pleasant and made the whole visit much more tolerable than it could have been. I am also in Midlands Ortho for another problem, and the office staff and facilities were excellent, as always.

My first visit and Dr James seems knowledgeable and gave me great direction to treat my planters fasciitis.

Dr James continues to exceed expectations, Even after 4.5 years following ankle fusion surgery, he remains fully engaged with any follow up. There is no other fort and ankle specialist I would see in the Southeast.

Dr. James is the best. He has done surgery on my foot two different times. He let me know exactly what is going on with my foot. He tells me what to expect after the surgery. He listens and answers all my questions. Everyone at Midlands Orthopedic and Neurosurgery is the best. Dr. James PA Lauren is also great. I highly recommend him for any problems with your feet. Upon entering the office I felt welcomed. From entering the office to going to be treated,everyone was kind and friendly and helpful.

Excellent doctor. Takes time explaining procedure and post-operative procedures. My hammertoe surgery was successful and it’s great to be able to wear normal shoes again.

Six months ago I started having problems with my left planters facia. After all the traditional remedies failed the only option was surgery. Before I met Dr James I was suffering with arthritis pain that had caused my toes curl into like an inverted V! I had to change shoes up to 12 times a day to make it through the day in shoes. I did some research on potential facilities and physicians that had the training and a positive reputation. Finally I found Dr William James at Midland Orthopedics! Both his experience and educational background were impeccable! He operated on both of my feet and they now look like they did originally! Im so thankful for this kind hearted, talent Surgeon!! From the time I started with Dr. James until the time I was released from being under his care, He has been an amazing help to me and is very easy to understand. He has great knowledge in his work and he took his time and explained all that I needed to know. He didn't forced me into any treatments that I didn't need. The cleanliness and knowledgeable also friendly as well as helpful staff members were exceptional! Nevertheless , My physician did not listen to my needs at ALL! The initial physician was very attentive to my needs and concerns ( she left to give birth and care for her newborn). I was then switched to another physician whom was nice yet only came in the room and stayed less than 2 minutes . I would leave the office visit in tears due to the fact of feeling neglected and having to bare continues pain ????. Below is an earlier comment. I have upgraded my rating based on three additional visits. In the more recent visits, Dr. James has been able to see me within minutes of my arrival time. I am glad that I have continued to see him as his judgement has proved sound and his approach is conservative, which I appreciate. Plus, I am getting better! I have now had three office visits. Dr. James is competent. He is also late. On all three occasions, I have had to wait more than an hour after being shown into an exam room. Take a book, you'll need it to pass the time. Dr. James is a very good and compassionate doctor. He has worked hard with me to resolve my plantar fasciitis problems. I would highly recommend him for any foot problems. He has excellent bed side manner and he explains things well to you. He will help you any way he can!

I was sent to Dr. James by my GP after a serious foot injury. He responded late in the day and I was in his office the next morning at 8am. He was incredibly thorough, very personable and I cannot say enough good about his care. His staff is also top notch! From front desk to nurses to check out...literally everyone I encountered was incredible. They are very efficient and knowledgeable and I will never go anywhere else for my feet or ankles ever again! Very patient and understanding. Explained the processes I would be using very well. Did not feel rushed. Didn't immediately jump to the slice-n-dice which was greatly appreciated.

Dr. James listens and asks questions while taking time to evaluate and give a proper diagnosis and treatment. He is conservative in his treatment recommendations, which I greatly appreciate.

Everyone here takes great care of their patients. Dr.James is one of the best surgeons I have ever dealt with and has great bedside manners. I would highly recommend Midlands for anyone needing orthopedic care!

I saw Dr.James and I didn't realize he was a foot doctor but he was very kind, and caring and listened to promblems,and he referred me to another of his colleagues that was there and he ws also very kind and caring and was able to help me understand my injury and the best options for me, I was very scared because I knew it was a bad injury bit I actually walked out of there knowing there knowing I'm in good hands!♥️Midlands orthopedics is great and I would definitely refer them to friends and family...the doctors are great and they staff is also friendly and courteous....thumbs up for Midlands Ortho!! Dr. James was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful in guiding me to another doctor that I needed to see for my medical conditions.

Visited after hours clinic. The staff was very efficient and Dr James quickly treated the problem. So thankful I did not have to be in pain throughout the weekend.

Dr. James took care of my daughter when she had an injury. He was kind, compassionate, and took time to explain the injury and treatment. I could not be more pleased. He is an excellent doctor, and I would recommend him to anyone.

I broke both sides of my ankle. Dr. James quickly got me into surgery where he did his magic and made me whole again! He did an amazing job. Both sites healed well without developing keloids. I recommend Dr. James to everyone I know.

Dr. James is my hero. He has fused bones in both my feet, allowing me to walk without pain. He is an excellent surgeon and I would never go to anyone else. I completely trust his knowledge and skill as a surgeon.

Dr. James explains the whole procedure and what to expect. My ankle was hurting so much I needed an ice pack on it to go to bed. After the surgery there was no pain and after PT I am walking normal without any pain!

Dr James and his staff give you the feeling of being part of the family. Dr James and his PA Lauren take the time to explain everything to you and his staff makes sure all questions are answered before you leave. Very happy with my experience

Went to three appointments, only have doctor say he would not do surgery on my foot because I smoke cigarettes. BTW, they were running late all three appointments, including more than an hour for the last appointment.

He clearly wants to spend minimal time with you. It's like his pants are on fire to get out of that room. As a result, I had needless expensive tests, which he was very defensive about. I'll never go back.

Dr. James is an amazing foot and ankle specialist. He is extremely attentive, patient, and detail-oriented. If you have any orthopedic issues related to your foot or ankle, Dr. James is definitely the go-to-guy. Wonderful person and physician.

Dr. William C. James III, did two surgeries for me. First was a Peroneus Brevis Tendon Rupture. Second was a Achilles Tendon. Both went perfectly. He is conservative in his recovery path but if you listen to him he will have you back up and running without repeat complications.
