great doctor very smart and cares for you as a person

I've had allergy my whole life and never really felt that anyone took the time to really listen and try to figure out root cause and Dr. Howland did it. I feel better already! Great doctor!!

Dr. Howland provided a thorough exam for my allergy issues. We discussed my medical history and current medical problems. He reviewed all options for medications and next steps. I highly recommend Dr. Howland and the Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin.

Kind, to the point, resourceful, and smart. Better than the many many internal medicine doctors and even infectious disease doctors I've seen over the last six years of my chronic illness/autoimmune disorder. More grateful than I can say.

Dr. Howland was such a delight! He took his time in diagnosing a multiple layered problem. His positive attitude really helped put me at ease. The allergy testing was really painless and gave me the answers I was looking for quickly! His nursing team was just as delightful. Overall wonderful experience. :)

Dr. Howland had thorough answers to all my questions. He explains the science behind allergy extremely well. He's also a genuinely nice guy, and his assistants and desk staff are terrific.

I wasn't sure what to expect, as this was my first visit to an allergist. However, Dr. Howland actually made me feel like he cared about how I've been feeling and wanting to help me breathe clearly again.

Personally I am always skeptical when walking into a Doctor's office. You never know if they're going to give you the run around or actually help to find a solution to your medical issues. Dr. Howland listened to my concerns, educated me, and most of all made me feel like he actually cared whether I got better. Something he said to me during my appointment really sums it up well: "Someone who looks as healthy as you do, should feel that way as well. Let's get you feeling better" Thanks Dr. H

Dr. Howland was thorough and listened to my concerns. He even referred me to another specialist that he felt would know more about my skin condition.

I really enjoyed meeting Dr. Howland. He listened to my issues and explained all my options with clear explanations and even a diagram! Very nice guy as well and very personable .

Dr. Howland was very thorough in my consult for allergy screening. He took the time prior to testing to speak with me to understand my concerns and reason for the visit. I would love to see him on a regular basis as a primary care physician as he makes you feel comfortable and is very detailed.

Rarely do you meet a doctor who takes the time, compassion, and concern to treat what you need. I left the office feeling like I made a new friend, above all else. Dr. Howland cared for my specific situation, diagnosed what had been bothering me greatly for years, and set me on a path with many options to best work with my life and specific circumstances. You better believe I will be sending many people his way!

Dr. Howland is the kind of doctor you wish all doctors were. He is patient, asks lots of questions, and really listens to understand the big picture. I'm so glad my friend recommended that I see him!

He spent the most time with me of any doctor in the last 10 years. It took us a while (and a couple of visits) to figure out what was wrong with me. But each time, he listened and adjusted the plan of action based on my feedback. He continually stays up to date on new medicines and new research. Final note, good staff makes a good doctor. Dr. Howland is an amazing doctor. He helped me with all of my issues and was very accurate, knowledgeable and patient. He full explains everything to you.

He takes the time to talk to you, to know you and help with your medical issues. He has a great sense of humor and easy to talk to. His nurses are great and all go out of their way. If you have insurance issues he goes out of his way to talk to companies to help with medications . They are all awesome! Highly recommended!

Dr. Howland and Anna, Bev - His whole staff are not only amazing but more importantly- Dr. H knows his stuff. I have had allergy shots and always stayed in his care and he is ALWAYS on point. From moving to Texas and not being able to breathe well to feeling MUCH better but more importantly well year round because of his expert care is PRICELESS. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

it was a perfect visit

I had been searching for a good allergist and came across Dr Howland on Yelp. His reviews were great and after seeing him I can concur he's AWESOME! If you are in Austin and need an allergist come see Dr. Howland!

I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Howland! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and informative, but he has one of the kindest, most genuinely compassionate bedside mannners I’ve ever encountered. His office staff was also very gracious and friendly, and the appointment was punctual and thorough. I’d give this office 6 stars if I could! So grateful to have found them!

I went to see Dr. Howland regarding some allergy issues. He was such a nice and knowledgeable person! He was familiar with everything I brought to his attention, and he took the time to explain in detail why I was experiencing these issues. I would definitely recommend him! AND, his staff is very nice!!

Dr. Howland was very attentive and did not rush my appointment at all. He genuinely cared about my concerns and I felt very comfortable with him.

I felt Dr. Howland took an amazing amount of time to figure out what was bothering my allergies. The visit was long, but at the same time probably the most comprehensive visit that I have had in a long time. I am hopeful that my allergies will get better in time with a new regimen.
