Dr. William B Harris

My husband arrived at Atmore hospital septic with a bp of just 69/47. Dr. Harris worked for several hours raising his bp enough to perform a lifesaving surgery to repair a perforated bowel. My husband had been discharged from North Baldwin Infirmary after spending 8 hrs. in their emergency room without a proper diagnosis. Sent home to essentially die. I was gravely ill with inflammation of my intestines for almost 2 months. Dr. Harris found the problem by performing a colonoscopy and EDT and along with my primary care physician, prescribed medicines that healed me. He also put me into the Hospital in Atmore for a few days, which probably saved my life. This wonderful surgeon is highly skilled. I highly recommend him! Simple gallbladder surgery. Because of his negligence I ended up near death and in the hospital 9 months. Life long complications.

He was a blessing to me! I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder and appendix. He called and scheduled the surgery that night did not wait until the next morning like so many others would have. I had no complications and was really taken care of by the staff. A simple gallbladder surgery with Dr Harris. I pleaded with Dr Harris that something was not right. He yelled at me and told me nothing was wrong. I went sepsis. I was in the hospital 9 months and came home weighing 79 lbs.

In 2002, Mobile, AL operated on by Dr. Harris for pancreatic cancer, took out 3/4 of my pancreas. Today, still alive & doing well. September 2018, looking for an RV campground in Atmore, AL. I was in car, husband in truck pulling RV. OnStar wrong, so put car in reverse instead of park, stepped out to talk to husband, car moving, door knocked me down, right leg fell under tire that ripped all flesh off bottom leg, crushed it, horrible injury. At ER, Dr. Harris called in and he saved my leg.

He saved my life I had appendicitis and he is highly recommend by me

If you are looking for a doctor to not care about you or your well-being, this is the doctor for you! Dr. Harris told me I was "fine" when I came to see him for my follow-up appointment! I told him that I haven't had a BM in 13 days with serious abdominal pain (to the point I was crying right in front of him). Also he barely explained my biopsy results to me and I couldn't understand what he said nor did he try to explain the results! He spent maybe 5 minutes with me! PLEASE do not go see him!!

I really believe in Dr. Harris...He has saved my life twice.... No one has skills like this.... I just think he's wonderful and my husband thinks he is the best also..He is very easy to talk with he will come to your level without asking....As for me he is the best that happen in my life... Dr's in Chicago , Indiana, Texas and the University of Houston could not find my problems come back to home state all is well because of Dr. Harris.....Hope he will be serving Atmore, Al for a long time.. TY

Friendly and pleasant plus answered all my questions. Very professional. My schedule appointment was for February, but went in early(by mistake) January. Took me right in within 15 minutes.
