Dr. Edenfield is the epitome of what a healthcare professional should be. I trust him completely. I have been his patient for about 14 months now and have no complaints. I feel he sincerely cares about his patients. He takes time to ensure my understanding of my diagnosis and treatments. He is a physician who TRULY cares about his patients. I 100% recommend him to anyone who is dealing with Cancer. He is the BEST!! 3.5 years later and I had no idea I could have more admiration for and trust in my Oncologist. Dr. Edenfield was born to do what he does and he clearly loves what he does, it resonates in the most profound way. I saw a comment about him having a poor bed side manner, I strongly disagree. I probably deserved a reprimand (a few times), however he continues to show genuine concern for my well being. Let me put it this way, if I lived in California, I would fly to South Carolina every 3 weeks for my treatments. We found Dr. Edenfield to have a very poor bedside manner and had a tendency to be condescending. We felt like he is desensitized to how patients need empathy and support during such a traumatic time in their life. If you or your family are battling cancer, you may want to consider an alternative.

I love Dr. Edenfield. I have a rare breast cancer, Metaplastic, and am also Triple Negative, The two together can be aggressive. After surgery he was unsure if I needed Chemo because Metaplastic sometimes doesn't respond well. He knew I needed it for the TNBC. He sent me to a specialist at UNC-Chapel Hill who specializes in TNBC. She told he and I that we had to take the Metaplastic out of the equation and treat the TNBC. He took the treatment protocol that she suggested and I had chemo in Greenville. I love that if he himself is unsure of something, he will send you to someone who specializes in it and use their protcol. He is sooooo personable, caring and attentive.

He is as real as you could hope for. I loved since the first day I met him.

Dr Edenfield has treated me for 8 years for breast cancer. He is the most encouraging doctor I have ever had and he has been kind and caring as well as explaining every thing to my satisfaction. I feel extremely fortunate to have had him working with me.

Dr. Edenfield is such a nice doctor! Very kind, easy to talk to, friendly and caring and genuinely interested helping his patients. His is a collaboration between him, his team and the patient. I can't recommend him highly enough.
