Dr. William Moten Craven

I was a patient of Dr. Craven years ago. He knew exactly which medication to prescribe to ease my shoulder pain and gave me some great advice about my role, as a patient, in the decision making process of medical treatment. I had been treated by worker’s compensation doctors & had a bad experience with the process. No, I didn’t understand it at the time.But I have had to square my shoulders and apply that advice until this day. I only wish he was a participating physician in my insurance network. I would travel from Macon to Duluth to receive the treatment I need. He was quite capable of orthopedic diagnostics and treatment. A good orthopedist is one who truthfully informs you of your medical status and gives you feedback on questions you may have followed by effective treatment. He was a bit brash; but I’ll bet I could return to work in less pain.

The atmosphere is very welcoming as well as professional. The staff was very down to earth and detailed with info concerning pre / post surgery. Dr. Craven was very strategic and exact in his surgery performed on me. There were no scars after repairing a grade 3 meniscus tear. Also several years later there are still no post surgery issues. I had my ACL and Menicus surgery with Dr Cravens after a tear playing basketball. He is very personable. He showed me details on where my injury was and what my surgery would be so I could understand. He was even honest on how I would feel after surgery. I liked his honesty.

Dr. Craven performed surgery on me on Sept. 1st for a rotator cuff tear. He did an excellent job and I love the level of care and concern he gives. I feel I'm doing so much better in my recovery because he has not let me go yet, but still checking on progress. He's extremely professional and knows his area of expertise.
