Dr. William George Brownstein

Dr. Brownstein gave me a root canal in March 2019. He missed a canal in the tooth, but I didn't know this until an infection formed at the base of the missed canal, which was trapped and building pressure inside my jaw. After 72 hours of blinding, sleepless pain in February 2023, I had to rush to an endodontist while traveling over 3,000 miles away from my home to perform an emergency root canal on the same tooth. Additionally, the root canal Dr. Brownstein performed on me was such a traumatic experience that my PCP had to prescribe me alprazolam for future dentist visits.

Dr. Brownstein & his staff are wonderful! I would highly recommend them! This was my first root canal & he explained everything to put me at ease. A big thanks also to Cheryl for being able to get me an appointment so quickly. If you need an endodontist, this is where you should go!

I can’t say enough positives about Dr. Brownstein. When I learned I needed a root canal, I was so scared but to learn I needed it two, I was petrified. Dr. B was highly recommended by my dentist so I made the decision to book the appointment with him and have faith I’d be in good hands. I AM SO HAPPY I did! In the first few minutes of meeting him, my nerves were calm and I felt confident I’d be just fine with little to no discomfort. He split the visit in two as a safety measure to ensure no post op infection would incur. I agreed that I’d rather be proactive especially with my trepidation. From start to finish, I had a great experience and although I hope another root canal is not in my future, I would only go to Dr. Brownstein! Truly top notch and cares about his patients. Not that it matters but I would like to add that my insurance was being difficult and Dr. B took the time even though it’s not his responsibility to assist me in making sure it was covered. I needed a root canal for a tooth that was becoming infected. Cheryl was most pleasant to deal with and got me a much needed appointment without delay. Dr. Brownstein put me at ease right away. I have been having problems with a tooth for the last year, and eventually it lead to me needing a root canal. Dr. Brownstein was amazing. He listened to everything that had happened with my tooth, he calmed me down, and he talked to me and explained everything he was doing throughout the process. The pain went away instantly, and I am full of physical and mental relief. I would 100% recommend Dr. Brownstein if you need a root canal as well!

Great help when I had emergencies. Especially now during COVID. Called me back promptly and fit me in when I couldn’t reach my regular dentist. Appreciated.

I had a good experience with Dr. Brownstein. He was very knowledgeable about root canals. He made sure I was comfortable by asking me if I was okay. I'm going to see him next week for my second part of the root canal procedure.

Dr. Brownstein explained the procedure and was very gentle and professional. He made a procedure that I dreaded a very smooth and painless experience. Furthermore, all his support staff from reception to assistants were also very professional, courteous and helpful. Would recommend highly without any hesitation!

I hope William G. Brownstein improved his skills since I went to him years ago. He did a root canal on the WRONG tooth, a perfectly healthy tooth! It was my very first root canal and I was in severe pain. Dr. Brownstein had just gotten his latest digital x-ray technology and had read it wrong! When I left the office and the numbing wore off, my tooth still hurt severely. Dr. Brownstein even admitted to the error and said he would do the right one for free. He had me sign a waiver. Both teeth he did now needed to be extracted! I'll never forget the comment he said when I asked why I all of a sudden need a root canal at 42 years old. He said "That's what happens when you're middle aged". If you want to trust him, go ahead, it's your teeth, your mouth. In reply to the office's response: It was many years ago since Dr, Brownstein claimed at the time he had not used that machine yet and I obviously was the guinea pig. Yes, this review is present now since feedback wasn't available then. I wanted to tell others of the long term end results of Brownstein's work and ethical tactics. I hoped he had improved since I lost a healthy tooth because of him. Look up your records, invoices and waviers if you question my statement. I have no reason to write this other than reasons of the truth. And who are you writing in behalf of the dentist? How can you state what Dr. Brownstein would NEVER do? I hope William G. I put off a root canal for weeks. Had a small abscess on my gum line. I have been petrified on see a Dentist for years after a bad experience. I did my research and found Dr Brownstein. Well, my root canal went AMAZING! I didn't feel the pinch from the needle. When he began drilling, I felt a little pain. Dr Brownstein quickly stopped and added more Novocain. After which it was smooth sailing. I was worried for NOTHING! So Glad I did my research & found Dr. Brownstein! He is AMAZING!!!

Please stay away from this dental office. After calling their office for an emergency root canal, because i was in a lot of pain, and i couldn't wait until my appointment day, which is in one week, i was told no can do; by the rude receptionist. Very cold act...

I had a dental emergency after receiving a root canal here and Cheryl gave me a vague answer telling me to go to my general dentist first, but that makes no sense since brownstein worked on it last. I had a very good experience at this clinic, Dr Brownstein was very professional, he did a great job and on top he is a nice person. The Assistent and front desk were very welcoming and nice. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Bill did a GREAT job with my root canal. Very professional, and nice office. Staff was great as well. Spoke to Cheryl on Monday, and was in the chair on Tuesday! Thanks again for everything!

Dr. Brownstein and his assistant Maria were wonderful!! As well as the lovely Sheryl from the front desk! They made my first root canal quick and painless. Highly recommend to all.

No stars, HORRIBLE treatment starting with Cheryl the 50+ year old phone receptionist. Cheryl made my visit so bad, by being rude, abnoxious and unfriendly that I didnt even want to continue my visit. I am a medical professional, that works at a very credible and prestigious hospital, and I know how to present myself towards all patients, unlike Cheryl (phone receptionist). I believe that first impressions are everything and unfortunately, I didnt even get to see Dr Brownstein because of Cheryl nasty, bitter attitude. I was referred to Dr Brownstein from a very friendly dental office and did not expect the treatment I received. Cheryl needs to retire or find a new job, where she does not need to deal with the public. I hope Dr Brownstein sees this review because he really needs to re-evaluate who he hires for his establishment. Good luck with business as long as you have tight face Cheryl working at the front desk! And I am going to make sure I spread the word about my experience. I am sure Dr Brownstein is excellent, but unfortunately, I have decided to take my business to a more people friendly dental office. Poor front desk etiquette. Sheryl needs to learn how to talk to people. She is not patient friendly and needs better manners or a different job field.
