Dr Bloch is an exceptional urologist, works so hard to help so many patients, he was one of the few doctors to work thru the pandemic, I highly recommend him for any urology ailments!

Terrible experience 10 years ago, diagnosed me with prostatitis.. nothing was wrong urology wise and had physical therapy which cured my back pain and groin pain issues. I had to go to Ohio state for a second opinion to tell me my issues were muscular.

I have used Dr. Bloch for over 2 years. With BPH, he prescribed Flomax and Proscar. Then I started having urinary frequency. I did my own research and recommended UroLift and PVP green light procedure to control the urgency. Dr. Bloch then put me on Oxybutynin and that has controlled my frequency. There are other Urologists at COUG if you need them.

His credentials are obvious and I would recommend him but would also recomend for your own comfort you prepare written questions before your meetings with him and also take notes of what he says is the intended treatments as he dose not keep his own notes but has a person in the room with you who has a lap top and apparently takes notes as he hears them.. At the next session be sure to have your notes with you as it may surprise you to find his treatment intent may not be as voiced last time. He is a very busy professional.

Excellent Urologist, highly recommend Dr. Bloch. He suggested a Eurolyft procedure to correct my issue and the results are better than I could have ever hoped it could be. I'm like new money, feel like I'm 35 again and taking ZERO pills. He is the best....

Stay away from Dr.Bloch. I was treated by him and during this time was in the emergency room 13 times and begged to be operated on and was told it would cost the insurance company too much money. I was left in massive pain, bruised and swelled tso he could please the insurance company. When he finally agreed to operate he refused to listen to what I wanted and did what he wanted even changing the procedure to satisfy him. I am still left in pain deformed and depressed and his answer to it is oh well. Stay away he is only concerned with stay,g in good standing with the insurance company and not your care. Find someone else to care for you.

This doctor was always in a big hurry and oftentimes late for procedures. He said very little and didn't seem to care much at all. I switched to a different doctor in the same group and was very happy.

Dr. Bloch, while making a correct diagnosis, was incredibly inept at walking me through treatment. On every visit, he was always rushed, in fact, he never sat down to discuss treatment options. The whole practice was dysfunctional, frankly. No one seemed to be enjoying their jobs and displayed stressed attitudes at every visit. From the reception desk to the nurses, to the schedulers, there was an uncomfortable vibe. I sought a second opinion and was so grateful that there was an outstanding alternative. I had what was described as a deadly aggressive cancer, and Dr. Bloch and the entire practice did nothing to alleviate the stress of such diagnoses. I have gone so far to un-recommend Dr. Bloch and Central Ohio Urology to every physician friend, and family member so they never refer anyone to this horrible practice and allow someone to suffer at the hands of this environment.

In general the Urology Doctors have been respectable providing they pick a method & direction that is inline with yours. If not their interest of the individuals quality of life doesn't seem to be of any concern. I am 74 turning 75 yrs old in March. Things that are very important to me don't seem to concern them. They run a myoptic path that suits them. I've been requesting a prescription for testosterone for over 6 months. The prostate biopsies I had performed showed a cancer that gave me a 1% chance of dying from prostate cancer in the next 10 yrs. I exercised caution & had Cyberknife radiation performed at another facility in a 2 week time frame versus their 9 week radiation service. My PSA score is under 1 & my testosterone score has fallen from 188 6 months ago to 143 current. Normal Testosterone score is 330--880 . They claim to have sent an Andro Gel script to my pharmacy but it was not signed thus no medication was released to me. The pharmacy & I have been calling Central Ohio Urology for 3 days--leaving messages without any response. To me that is very inconsiderate to my needs & lacks professionalism on their part. Wonderful kidney stone Doctor. I've been operated on for kidney stones by Dr. Bloch several times. I only have one kidney. I trust no one but Dr. Bloch. Have had two bad experiences with other doctors in Dayton, OH.

Dr. Bloch was recommended by a friend that Dr. Bloch has served. From my initial visit to his office years ago to my most recent care, I am extremely pleased with the care I have received from him. The facility in Worthington is easy for me to get to coming from a northern location and is in close proximity to the Route 23 exit off the Columbus outerbelt. The reception desk is user friendly and efficient. The nursing staff is competent and pleasant. Administration covers the insurance part.

Dr. Bloch-Great bedside manner. He cares, and gives you an honest assessment of what's wrong, and even if the news is not that great, he is able to put it in perspective. Great empathy, and that comes through in how he asks about your issues, and he relates his experience with these issues both as a dr and a patient. It's urology !- it's specialized, and people take this bodily system for granted. Unfortunately, another dr. @COU could help me more so sadly I'm seeing another DR in the group

My father had a stroke and was admitted in the hospital, during his stay they found blood in his urine, and a tumor on his right ureter and kidney from a MRI & CT scan and put in a request for a Urology consult. Dr. Bloch came to collect a biopsy of the tumor. During the procedure he wrote in his report that it appeared to be aggressive and he also saw another mass in his bladder, his recommendation was to remove his bladder, kidney and ureter. Due to the stroke my father was on 2 blood thinners and did not have clearance for this type of surgery so he was to follow up in 30 days. A week after his discharge Dr. Bloch called me and advised me that he has an aggressive cancer that needs to be removed. We made a follow up appointment at his office where Dr. Bloch wanted to schedule the procedure for a week from the follow up appointment. I requested a copy of the records from the nurse where I learned the that the cytology report showed it was a non-invasive, low-grade tumor. When I asked Dr. Bloch what stage his cancer was or if chemotherapy was an option he wouldn't give us a straight answer. When he called me a couple days after to discuss preparations for the procedure he scheduled I mentioned that we want to go to The James Cancer Institute and he became audibly frustrated with me, he told me that I was wasting time and that was something my father didn't have. He went on to say that OSU James' Urology Department lacked technology and knowledge for this type of cancer and that he studied at the University of Miami with one of the best oncologists and he is the Doctor to care for my dads cancer. I told him I received a copy of his cytology report and that it showed it was low grade and non-invasive and he advised me that was the tumor in his ureter and that won't 'kill him, but the tumor in his bladder was life threatening' then I asked where the cytology report of that tumor? He said he didn't have one yet but that he had enough experience to know what he saw while collecting the specimen in his ureter. We were concerned because there was no other evidence of this tumor or mass besides what Dr. Bloch wrote in his report. It didn't show up in his MRI or 2 CT scans. When we went to the James Cancer Institute, they did a procedure with a dye that clinged to any cancerous cells in the bladder to make it turn a fluorescent color while they looked with a scope, there was absolutely no forms of cancer found in his bladder. Furthermore 3 doctors at 3 different facilities advised us that my dad was not healthy enough to undergo removing his kidney, ureter or bladder with his other health conditions. My advice to everyone, PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION! Most doctors encourage this with a cancer diagnosis and luckily we did in this situation because if not it is likely my father would not be here or at least would not have had all of his organs. They removed the tumor in his ureter and they discovered it was only cysts in his kidney, there was nothing in his bladder. My dad had an outpatient procedure done and was resting at home the next day with the only thing he needs to do is follow up and have stents replaced every 3 months. In our experience with Dr. Bloch, was it was more like talking to a salesman than a physician that took an oath to care for people's health above all else. My father had a stroke and was admitted in the hospital, during his stay they found blood in his urine, and a tumor on his right ureter and kidney from a MRI & CT scan and put in a request for a Urology consult. I met Dr. Block in the riverside emergency room in Feb. 2011. for extenuating reasons I had not urinated in 8 days and my bladder had expanded to that my lungs were being pushed to the point of non function. My body was shutting down. The Dr. on call was about to put me on dialysis until Dr. Block suggested they empty the bladder slowly and let my body regain normality. He literally saved my life.

Dr. Bloch recommended removing my fathers kidney, ureter and possibly bladder after stating he had found aggressive cancerous tumors in these areas of my father. ACT scan, MRI showed a tumor in his ureter, Dr. Bloch stated in his report it was aggressive but a cytology report said non-invasive & low-grade. He was offended when we stated we're getting a 2nd opinion, he said we didn't have that kind of time- after another urologist did a procedure they removed the tumor and confirmed NO CANCER!

Dr Bloch is the best and our family is so grateful that he came in and literally saved the day. Once he saw the pain my father was in he immediately took control and had him in surgery within an hour. My dad was miserable for hours until Dr Bloch came in and made the right decision.

Dr William Bloch if very thorough and professional. He occasionally seems to be in a hurry, but if you let him know you have questions or concerns he is happy to sit down and discuss. He did everything to make sure that my condition improved and he took the conservative approach which is what I said I wanted to do. I would recommend him. I met Dr. Bloch after being admitted to the emergency room and he made the call to perform immediate surgery due to my serious condition. I had never spoken to a urologist in the past nor had I ever heard of Dr. Bloch but I sure am glad that I was being watched over and had the good doctor taking care of me. He has a steady hand as well as a steady demeanor and I would not hesitate to to use him again ( or hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family) in the future. He's a good man...
