The staff was very efficient from check-in to the Optometry Technician that completed the initial tests, to the doctor who evaluated & discussed his findings. Recommendations were provided and check-out was easy. It was a professionally run n business. In addition, the optometry section was very helpful in researching a particular frame I wanted and ordering it to try out prior to making a purchase commitment.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Blakemore is one of best eye doctors I have ever seen. I now have double vision and his prescriptions actually work to correct the condition. I can not praise the optical department enough. They corrected my old glasses making life enjoyable. Others never found the problem. Also. the doctor's assistant was the most knowable assistant I have had as well as very patient. I have heard others say, the medical field does not take time with the mature generation. Now that I have arrived, I have found that to be true. Not with this office. It is an 1.5 hour drive. Well worth it. I now can look down and not see 2 of everything which can be very scary, They made my day a very enjoyable one. Thank all of you so much.

I have been seeing Dr. Blakemore for years. He's fantastic. Just made and appointment for cataract evaluation.

I recently saw Dr. Blakemore has a follow-up for cataract surgery. NC is under a state wide mandate for mask wearing due to COVID19. Dr. Blakemore did not wear his at all during the exam. At times his face was less than 6" from mine as he listened to my heart and poked me in the stomach, asking if I had any belly pain. In addition to his unprofessionalism, I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seen.

Made an appoint for routine exam with MD. I was handed off to a lady who said she was a certified technician, took my history, put drops in my eyes and wanted to perform a microscopic exam. I explained several times that I made an appoint to see the MD and didn't want examined by a technician. She seemed perturbed & left the room. The MD came in, made no attempt to get to know me. When he saw I was there for a routine exam he muttered This is the way we do it - I don't care and dismissed me.
