The Doctor was very rude and unprofessional when he was lecturing me about the vaccine. I can’t take the vaccine due to a medical issue per my primary Provider. He belittled me, was very sarcastic and condescending. I was floored and upset the way he treated me. Plus when he left the room, his intern could not believe the way he treated me. Changing Doctors! Absolutely AWFUL! Rude, condescending, and completely inattentive to people with fertility issues. Loves to hear himself talk, and treats you like you’re dumb.

I switched to him so that I could deliver at Bellvue, and I think he’s great! 1. I was worried about having a male gyno- but I tell my husband I feel comforted by his wisdom & knowledge & don’t even think about the fact that he’s male. 2. I read the bad reviews about the receptionist and was hesitant to switch here, but I love her! She is honest and takes charge of the office- she keeps things fast and moving smoothly. Any concern I’ve ever called for is immediately given to the doctor. All of the bad reviews regarding “poor office staff” are silly. 3. In general, I was lucky to have a healthy pregnancy but ANY concern I had was taken seriously by the doc. I felt very welcomed here and loved that I was able to see an actual doctor each visit instead of a PA or nurse. Highly recommend him!

The dr is very knowledgeable, ive been going there for many years, but I’m looking for another Gyno. Office is seriously understaffed, usually just one lady. I’m thinking she’s the reason for no employee retention. She can be rude and nosy. In the beginning I would allow, out of niceness, to let the interns question me. But after a while it would be every time I went in, which gets old and ends up making my appointment even longer. So I started saying no, because I have to get back to work. He must get paid for the interns. With office being understaffed, I don’t have faith in receiving important information about my follow ups. I’ve had several serious procedures done there, one was a biopsy , for cervical cancer. Also when you go in for your Pap smear you are rudely told not to ask the dr about anything else. Which I am completely put off by that. What if there’s a concern about something serious? I’d look for another dr if you are looking.

I was extremely impressed with him at my first visit there recently. He explained all my options in a deep and unhurried way. He listened to my many questions with concern, and answered them all in a very professional and knowledgeable way. I will report later after the procedures I need from him are done, but I have every confidence he will take good care of me. Only problem was his lack of office staff. The poor office manager had to act as admitting nurse and office receptionist. They are looking for extra help.

Absolutely terrible patient care. He is condensending, rude, and inattentive. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to go him, especially if you’re pregnant & in need of special care due to risks. Please see another doctor.

There is no nurse to go into the room with you, but you may request someone be in there with you. I found that extremely odd. Doctor is very pleasant and patient. Staff is very friendly. I guess it depends on what you're used to.

I’ve been going to this practice for over 5 years now. Amazing through my pregnancy. Beyond professional, Lorraine and Dr.A are amazing! I can’t picture myself going anywhere else!

Dr A was patient, kind and thorough where orther Drs have pushed me off due to weight or age. He treats me with autonomy and respect and encourages me to be informed and involved in my own care.

Dr. Anyaegbunam has hospital privileges at Bellevue hospital. Dr. A is kind and extremely patient. He saved my life the 1st time I met him and saved my ovary. He was my ob throughout my pregnancy. If there was ever something wrong he would tell me, if not then he is on the quiet side. If I had questions he would answer them completely. If I needed him after hours He Always Called right back himself, personally. I could tell he truly loves his job, to help women, and to help make families. Lorraine is what I would picture an Italian mother bear to be like. She gets things done and is kind, caring, no nonsense and strict. She does not use kid gloves with her patients, she tells it like it is, straight forward. I should mention she is hilarious as well. There are not long waits to be seen by Dr. A. In my experience, just a quick in and out with an answer to all of my questions. Great all around experience. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. Dr. A. has been nothing short of amazing. He took me on in the 3rd trimester of what was previously explained to me to be a very high risk pregnancy. At first his very laid back approach to my pregnancy was a little alarming as my previous doctor had led us to believe that basically, we would be lucky if the baby made it at all. In hindsight, Dr. A’s approach was actually amazing. He is honest and kind while avoiding terrifying you, without overreacting, and without ordering unnecessary medications or tests. He delivered my son who was happy & healthy with zero complications. He took amazing care of both myself and my son. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He made sure that my husband was included in all conversations and decisions instead of speaking only to me as the patient. He is old school in the sense that it is a 1 doctor practice. You can get appointments quickly, but can sometimes wait in the room a bit for the doctor, but that is quite rare. When you call after hours for labor or questions, it is Dr. A himself that calls you back within 5-10 minutes no matter what time of day. When I got pregnant again 5 months after having my son, Dr. A. didn’t lecture me at all, he ran the tests needed to ensure that my body was at it’s healthiest and that baby and I would be okay. This pregnancy has had zero issues and has been the least stressful yet; even with having an almost 1 year old at home. He is amazing with our son on the rare occasion that he goes with me to prenatal appointments, Dr. A. talks to him, makes him laugh, and interacts wonderfully with him. His nurse Lorraine, is quite possibly one of the best parts of the entire office. She can is sarcastic, witty and overall; she is warm, caring and hilarious. She will not sugarcoat anything for you but you can tell she cares and will help however she can. If you are used to ultrasounds every month, or a doctor that medicated or freaks out over everything; than Dr. A. May not be a great fit for you, but for our family and several friends of mine; he has been a very welcomed breath of fresh air and trip back in time when doctors saw patients as people, not as a number. Not sure why he has the reviews he does. Girlfriend had a terrible experience with him and she’s pregnant. He’s very limited with what he tells you. Not so much understanding at all. Staff was very rude. I’m glad we changed doctor, the new doctor is very informative and is giving information he wasn’t giving. Don’t let the star ratings fool you find somewhere better! I would not recommend this practice. The front end staffing is unprofessional, the "office manager" is rude and condescending. The Dr. himself may be great for some as an OB, but as a GYN for someone with a serious problem I would not recommend him. I was treated like none of my problems mattered and that I was making things up. I was always rushed and never felt satisfied after leaving the office. I'm extremely dissapointed in the way I was treated and will NEVER recommend this practice.

This doctor does not actively listen to you, he always seems to be in a rush. He ignores important requests regarding patient health and well being. If you don't go along with whatever he says he acts very unpleasant. The office receptionist is incredibly rude and condescending. I had a bad pregnancy and labor experience with this doctor (and the one hospital he does deliveries in) and would recommend women skip this place when looking for an obgyn.

Dr. Anyaegbunam has been my OBGYN for 10 years are I hope and pray he never retires because I wont go to anyone else! He has delivered both of my children. I always feel safe and never uneasy about anything he suggests or does.

Dr. A is great. He is attentive, understanding and patient. He did an excellent job delivering my daughter and taking care of me afterwards. He was thorough - making sure I had all the tests and whatnot needed for a healthy delivery. It was my 3rd child so I have a base for comparison. His staff is equally great. I never feel pressured or uneasy about treatment options. He listens and communicates clearly all of the options available to his patients. I feel very comfortable talking with him and feel as though he is compassionate and patient.
